The Kannada Film Workers Federation has today written a letter to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce not to support the film Majestic Express. Their grouse is that the film is being shot using workers from the new federation of workers started by Rajesh Brahamavar.
Surprisingly, some other films are also using workers from the new federation, including reputed film makers. The immediate trigger against Majestic Express seems to be the shooting that was held yesterday, the second Sunday of the month. Film shooting is not held on second Sundays as per rules of the old federation headed by Ashok. Even if held double payment has to be paid to everyone. if the producer want to do the shooting on Second sunday producer has to pay Rs. 1 lac to Okkutta!
But the Rajesh Brahamavar federation participated in shooting for a normal payment. The shooting on Sunday is said to have cost Rs 60,000. If it was with Ashok's federation, the cost would have been more than Rs 1 lakh. The film's producer Ba Ma Harish says he is not bothered about the letter as the producers' association is behind Brahamavar's federation.
