Actress Samyuktha Hegde has turned out to be a headache for the film College Kumar. Instead of acting in the Kannada film she had accepted, she suddenly left it midway to act in a Tamil film. The Kirik Party actress was roped in to play the female lead opposite Vikky Varun (of Kendasampige fame) in the new movie.
The new film is directed by Santhu of Alemari fame and produced by L Padmanabhan (who had made John Jonny Janardhan). The film was launched on May 1 and Samyuktha Hegde had attended the muharat pooja while the first scene was clapped by Sudeep.
On the muharat day itself the actress had a clash with the photographers. The producer and director claim that the actress is not attending the shooting despite being given a schedule of the shooting before hand. She had been informed that there will be continuous shooting for the film. But without attending the shooting of College Kumar she has gone to a Tamil film shooting.
Immediately after the muharat of College Kumar Samyukta has gone to Chennai stating that she has got a golden opportunity to act in a Tamil movie pairing with Prabhudeva directed by Karthik Subbaraju. Producer Padu Gowda and director Santhu made several efforts to contact her and her decision was firm to act in Tamil movie. Fed up with this Padu Gowda gave complaint to KFCC and Producers association. Now Kannada producers are wondering why they have to select Kannada artists like Samyuktha Hegde.
Senior actors Shruthi, Sadhu Kokila, Achyuth Kumar are on the sets for the shooting. But Samyuktha Hegde's absence has left them with nothing to do and the film team is wasting its resources.
