Well known Telugu actor Balakrishna on Sunday evening graced the 100 days function of Shivarajakumar starrer Shivalinga along with Ambarish at the Town Hall in Bangalore.
Balakrishna who is fondly known as Balayya along with Ambarish felicitated the artistes and technicians of the film.

Shivarajakumar, Geetha Shivarajakumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Vinay Rajakumar, Vijay Raghavendra, Vedika, P Vasu and others were present at the occasion. One of the highlights is, Shivarajakumar's debut film 'Anand' was released on June 19th, 1986. Now 'Shivalinga' 100 days celebrations was also held on the same day. 'Shivalinga' has the distinction of being the first Kannada film to celebrate 100 days this year.

Shivarajkumar starrer 'Shivalinga' directed by senior director P Vasu was censored on Monday with a 'U/A' certificate. Shivarajkumar plays a CID officer in this movie. While, Vedika plays Shivanna's heroine, actress Urvashi plays the mother to him for the very first time. Eradane Madhuve fame Suresh is the producer. P K H Doss is the cameraman and V Harikrishna has composed the songs for the film.

With censor certificate in hand, it has to be seen whether 'Shivalinga' gets released first or 'Killing Veerappan'.

The speculations about which of Shivarajakumar's two films gets released first has been finally been answered. If sources are to be believed, then 'Shivalinga' is all set to be released in the month of December, followed by 'Killing Veerappan' in January.

Though 'Killing Veerappan' was launched much later after 'Shivalinga', the film got completed first. But is yet to get a clearance from Animal Welfare Board. Meanwhile, 'Shivalinga' is ready and is waiting to get the censor certificate. So, it is being said that 'Shivalinga' is likely to get released first.

Shivarajakumar starrer 'Shivalinga' is all set to be released on the 12th of February in Santhosh and other theaters across Karnataka. 'Shivalinga' is being written and directed by veteran director P Vasu and Suresh of 'Govindaya Namaha' and others films has produced the film under his banner.

The music of the film is composed by V Harikrishna, while P K H Doss is the cameraman.

Vedika plays the female lead opposite Shivarajakumar in the film and apart from Shivarajakumar and Vedika, Sadhu Kokila plays prominent role in the film.

Yash starrer 'Masterpiece' is all set to complete 50 days in Santhosh theater. Meanwhile, Shivarajakumar starrer 'Shivalinga' will be replacing 'Masterpiece' in the same theater after the film completes a fifty day run.

'Shivalinga' was supposed to release in December itself. However, the film got delayed due to various reasons and is now ready for release.

Shivarajkumar plays a CID officer in this movie. While, Vedika plays Shivanna's heroine, actress Urvashi plays the mother to him for the very first time. P K H Doss is the cameraman and V Harikrishna will be composing the songs for the film.

On Tuesday night Shuvarajkumar flew to Italy with the crew of both Vajrakaya and Shivalinga. Shooting of songs for both the film will be shot in the same trip over the next one week. A song for Vajrakaya directed by A Harsha will be shot first.

This film is produced by CR Manohar. The second film Shivalinga is produced by Suresh who made films like Shravani Subramanya and Govindaya Namaha. Both the producers decided on a joint foreign trip for their films to save on costs and logistics. It also helped that Harsha is the choreographer for Shivalinga also. The team will return on April 2. The teamwork between two different films is a welcome development in Sandalwood.

After the success of 'Shivalinga', actor Shivarajakumar and director P Vasu has decided to work once more. The new film is likely to be titled as 'Robinhood'. Shivarajakumar was talking to few media persons on Monday afternoon and he himself confirmed that he will be doing another film with P Vasu.

'We have decided to do another film together and when we were discussing about the title, I suggested the name 'Robin Hood'. Vasu also liked the title very much' said Shivarajakumar.

As of now, it is not yet confirmed about when the film would start, as both are busy with their prior commitments.

To commemorate the 50 days of Shivalinga, the fans of Shivarajakumar had organised a grand celebration at Santhosh theater in Bangalore and Shivarajakumar distributed sarees to many ladies among the audience.

Shivarajakumar Sena Samithi had organised this event at the Santhosh Theater in the afternoon and many fans of Shivarajakumar flocked the theater to watch their favourite star. Meanwhile, sarees and bangles were distributed to ladies who watched the film during the matinee show. Shivarajakumar himself was present during the occasion and distributed the sarees.

Actor Shivarajakumar who is looking forward for the release of his two films 'Shivalinga' and 'Killing Veerappan' has been roped in to be the guest of the 'Belli Hejje' the most ambitious programme of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.

The programme this month has been organised at the Ravindra Kalakshetra on November 30th at 5 PM. Shivarajakumar will be sharing his experiences about his personal as well as professional life. He will be answering the questions posed by the audience.

The programme will be attended by Information Minister Roshan Baig, Parvathamma Rajakumar and others.

Actor Shivarajakumar who is riding high with the success of his new film 'Shivalinga' is all set to visit theaters in Mysore today afternoon. Shivarajakumar along with a few members of the 'Shivalinga' team will be first going to Woodlands theater in Mysore at 4.30 PM. After that the 'Century Hero' will be visiting the Saraswati Theater at 5.30 PM. Shivarajakumar will be back to Bangalore by today night.

Earlier, Shivarajakumar had visited the theaters in Davanagere, Chitradurga and Tumkur in the first round.

Actor Shivarajakumar seems to be upset over the delay in release of his films. If everything had gone right, then 'Shivalinga' and 'Killing Veerappan' would have been released by now. But both the films have been delayed due to various reasons.

'I have finished my job and it is up to the producers of both the films to plan about the release. If they delay the film due to various reasons, what can I do? I have done my job sincerely. After discharging from hospital, I immediately started work so that the producers does not suffer because of me. That is commitment' said Shivarajakumar.

Now it is up to the producers of 'Shivalinga' and 'Killing Veerappan' to decide about which among the two to be released first.

Advance bookings for Shivarajkumar's new film Shivalinga releasing tomorrow has already started. Even single screens have begun to issue tickets today. In the main theatre Santhosh, tickets are being issued as also in many other theatres in Bengaluru and other places.

At 5 pm today, fans have organized a special event. Dozens of fans will be dressed similarly in dhoti and they will hold a procession to herald the film.
