A stranger in the late Vishnuvardhan's press meet not only stunned the superstar but has remained an enigma for 25 years now. The mystery about this strange person is still unsolved. This incident happend during the launch of the film Niskarsha which is re-releasing now. 

The film directed by Sunil Kumar Desai, was launched on 12th May 1993. The location was Mayura Restaurant in Cubbon Park. When I reached the venue for the press meet, I noticed that many of the top police officers of the city had gathered there. 

Vishnuvardhan was playing the the hero and this was the first home production for Davanagere's cop-turned-actor BC Patil. Patil is now a popular politician. 

For Sunil Kumar Desai, Mayura Resturant was a favourite for film muhuratha. His earlier movie was launched at the same place.

The film had gone on to become a milestone and Desai saw it as a lucky charm.

The then Bangalore police commissioner Chandulal, IPS, clapped for the first scene. Shankar Bidari, IPS, Kempaiah and other police officers were present.

After the launch, a press pressmeet was organised. All the assembled journalist surrounded Vishnuvardhan and started firing questions. Vishnuvardhan answered all of them. All of a sudden some questions started coming from the last row. Vishnuvardhan was so impressed with these questions that he started answering each of them. 

Even journalists kept quiet as the questions from the same person and answers by Vishnuvardhan became more and more interesting. Most concluded that the person asking the questions was a new journalist. After some questions the person suddenly left the pressmeet before it was concluded. All the other journalists were surprised by this strange behaviour. 

Normally journalist do not walk out in the middle of a press conference. Vishnuvardhan too was surprised and sent his assistant to check on that person.

The assistant went outside Mayura Resturant and noticed the mystery person get into the driver's seat of an auto rickshaw, put on the khakhi shirt and driver away. 

When Vishnuvardhan was informed about this he was shocked. Even more shocked were the journalists. 

Sometimes Auto rickshaw drivers have more intelligent questions to ask film stars as they keenly follow Kannada films, more than anyone else. The mystery person was never seen again and no one knows who he is.

Produced by actor turned politician B C Patil, a first from his home banner Srushti Films, has now re-released the film to celebrate 25 years of the film since it was first released in the year 1993, which is a class apart, for various special reasons.

At a time when romance and drama ruled the industry, Sunil Kumar Desai struck another gold after Tarka. It was a different experience for the audience back then as Nishkarsha is a complete action thriller with no songs or dance, which was till then a must in the movies.

The digital format has done justice to the original film without disturbing the real essence and gives today's audience a golden opportunity to feel the experience from the past which has stood the test of time. This is another reason why the film has been one of the hot favourites for television screening till date.

For the present generation audience who would have missed the action on TV, this one is inspired by a Hollywood action thriller but Sunil Kumar Desai adapted it with a completely new dimension to it. The credit goes to B C Patil, who had not only dared to produce such a movie which was a challenge by itself with the making but also featuring in the antagonist's role. 

Another reason to watch Nishkarsha on the big screen is because of the huge star cast, starting from Sahasasimha Dr. Vishnuvardhan who played the role of a Commando is simply one of the best in his career. Others including the versatile Anant Nag, B C Patil, Suman Nagarkar, Ramesh Bhat and others are a treat to watch.

Speaking to Chitraloka, the producer of Nishkarsha, B C Patil revealed that the film which won three state awards for the year 1993-94 including best film, best screenplay and best sound recording will be re-released on September 20 in an upgraded digital version, be it sound or the overall viewing experience. He goes onto add that he is thrilled to watch it again on the big screen. It is being released and distributed through the popular Jayanna films.

Inspired by Hollywood's Die Hard movie, Sunil Kumar Desai's Nishkarsha is arguably one of his finest in his career. Produced under the banner of B C Patil's Srushti Films, the thriller ran to packed houses for several weeks and it is still one of the most popular movies, which is frequently aired on the small screen on demand. 

Along with the impressive screenplay, it was indeed a big challenge for Mr. Desai to create a thriller of such magnitude back then. With the then available technology and overcoming the logistic challenges, Nishkarsha surprised everyone with its exemplary output. Later, it was even remade in Telugu.

Insofar as the casting is concerned, Dr. Vishnuvardhan is a treat to watch as Commando Ajay who leads the operation. Every other character etched by Mr. Desai is done to perfection. So, mark the date on your calendars, as Nishkarsha is coming back big time at a theatre near you on September 20.

ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಸಿನಿಮಾ 26 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಅಭಿನಯದ ಈ ಕ್ಲಾಸಿಕ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬದ ಸ್ಪೆಷಲ್ ಆಗಿ ಇದೇ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಚಿತ್ರಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಾರಾಜಿಸಲಿದೆ. 1993ರಲ್ಲಿ 100 ದಿನ ಓಡಿದ್ದ ಚಿತ್ರವಿದು.

ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸರ್ ಅಭಿನಯದ ಸೂಪರ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೂ ಒಂದು. ನಾನಂತೂ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿ. ಆಗಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೇ ಹಾಲಿವುಡ್ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ದೇಸಾಯಿ. ನಾನಂತೂ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹಲವು ಬಾರಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಈಗ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಗ ನೋಡಿದ್ದವರೂ ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ನೋಡಬೇಕು. ಖಂಡಿತಾ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಅನುಭವ ನಿಮ್ಮದಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್ಕುಮಾರ್.

ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅನಂತ್ ನಾಗ್, ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ಸುಮನ್ ನಗರ್ಕರ್ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಆಗಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ 60 ಲಕ್ಷ ಬಜೆಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ ಅದೇ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು 1 ಕೋಟಿ ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡಿ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್.

ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಪೀಸ್‍ಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದು. ವಿಷ್ಣು, ಅನಂತ್, ಸುಮನ್ ನಗರ್‍ಕರ್, ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅಭಿನಯದ ಆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಆಗಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂಪರ್ ಹಿಟ್. ಸಿನಿಮಾ 100 ಡೇಸ್ ಓಡಿತ್ತು. ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ದೇಸಾಯಿಯವರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಕೂಡಾ ಒಂದು.

ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಸೂಪರ್ ಹಿಟ್. 100 ಡೇಸ್. ಹೀಗಿದ್ರೂ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಲಾಸಾಗಿದ್ದು ಹೇಗೆ..? ಅದು ಗಾಂಧಿನಗರದ ಮರ್ಮ. ಸಿನಿಮಾ ವಿತರಣೆ ಇರಲಿ, ಇಡೀ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗವೇ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೊಸದು. ಅನುಭವ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ.. ಗಾಂಧಿನಗರದವರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗೇ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಯಾಮಾರಿಸಿದ್ದರು. 100 ಡೇಸ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾದಲ್ಲಿ ನಷ್ಟ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್.

`26 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ನನಗೆ ಏನೆಂದರೆ ಏನೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾರು ಏನು ಹೇಳ್ತಾರೋ.. ಅದರಂತೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ಹೆಸರು ಬಂತು, ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಬಂತು. ಸಿನಿಮಾನೂ ಹಿಟ್ ಆಯ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ದುಡ್ಡು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ' ಎಂದು ನಗು ನಗುತ್ತಲೇ ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ತಾರೆ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್.

ಅಫ್‍ಕೋರ್ಸ್.. ಆ ನಷ್ಟವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತೆ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಿಂದಲೇ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಗೆದ್ದ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷವನ್ನು 26 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೊಸ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ.

ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಸಿನಿಮಾವನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ನೋಡಲು ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ತುದಿಗಾಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಷ್ಣುದಾದಾನನ್ನು ಮೇಜರ್ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಕಣ್ಣು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ತವಕ. ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ ಅಂತಾದ್ದೊಂದು ತವಕ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರ ಗೆಳೆಯರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ರಾಕ್ಲೈನ್ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಇದೆ.

1993ರಲ್ಲಿ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ, ಸಂಚಲನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಅದೊಂದು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಅನುಭವ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಹಾಲಿವುಡ್ ಶೈಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಆ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ನಾನು ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನೂ ಕೂಡಾ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಅಭಿಮಾನಿ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ರಾಕ್ಲೈನ್. ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆಗೆ ತರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ಗೆ ಶುಭ ಕೋರಿದ್ದಾರೆ ರಾಕ್ಲೈನ್ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್.

ಇದೇ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 18ಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬ. ವಿಷ್ಣು ಚಿತ್ರಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಮೈಲುಗಲ್ಲು ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿವೆ. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರವೂ ಒಂದು. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಅವರ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಸಂಭಾವನೆ ಎಷ್ಟು..?

ಆಗ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ 7.5 ಲಕ್ಷ ಸಂಭಾವನೆಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೆವು. ಅನಂತ್ ನಾಗ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ 2 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಸಂಭಾವನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಚಿತ್ರ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದಂತೆ ನಾವು ಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಸಂಭಾವನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 1 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. 6.5 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಸಂಭಾವನೆ ಪಡೆದರು.

ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರ ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದು ನೋಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಂಘರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ದೇಸಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು.

ಈಗ ಥಿಯೇಟರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಅಭಿನಯದ ಕ್ಲಾಸಿಕ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ. 1993ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಹಾಲಿವುಡ್ ಸ್ಟೈಲ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಬಂದಾಗ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಬಹುಬೇಡಿಕೆಯ ನಟ. ಆದರೆ, ಆ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಸಂಭಾವನೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಗೊತ್ತೆ..? 6 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ 1 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ.ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಕವಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ವಾಪಸ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಂತೆ ವಿಷ್ಣು.

ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯ ವಿಷಯ ಇನ್ನೊಂದಿದೆ. ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ರೈ ಕೂಡಾ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ರೈ ಇಡೀ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯಿರುವ ಪೋಷಕ ನಟ. ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಷ್ಟೇ ತೆಲುಗು, ತಮಿಳು, ಹಿಂದಿ, ಮಲಯಾಳಂನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಟಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ರೈ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೋಟಿ ಕೋಟಿ ಸಂಭಾವನೆ ಕೊಡುವವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಆದರೆ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಆ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ರೈ ಸಂಭಾವನೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಗೊತ್ತೇ..? 5000 ರೂ. ಯೆಸ್, ದೇಸಾಯಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ರೈ 5000 ರೂ. ಸಂಭಾವನೆ ಪಡೆದು ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ರೈ ಅವರದ್ದು ಸುರೇಶ್ ಎಂಬ ಆ್ಯಂಟಿ ಟೆರರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಸ್ಕ್ವಾಡ್‍ನ ಕಮಾಂಡೋ ಪಾತ್ರ.

ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ, ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ದೇಸಾಯಿಯವರ ಸೂಪರ್ ಹಿಟ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದು. ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್, ಅನಂತ್ ನಾಗ್, ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ಸುಮನ್ ನಗರ್‍ಕರ್, ರಮೇಶ್ ಭಟ್ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿದ್ದ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರೇ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ. 1993ರಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆ ಕಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಶತದಿನೋತ್ಸವ ಆಚರಿಸಿತ್ತು.

ಹಾಲಿವುಡ್‍ನ ಡೈ ಹಾರ್ಡ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ತಯಾರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸಿನಿಮಾವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ತೆರೆಗೆ ತರಲು ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್. ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 20ರಂದು ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ರಿ-ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅದೂ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ.

ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಸದ್ದು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳು. 93ರಲ್ಲೇ ಅಂಥಾದ್ದೊಂದು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು ದೇಸಾಯಿ. ಚಿತ್ರ ಹಲವು ರಾಜ್ಯಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಾಚಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು.

ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಜಯಣ್ಣ ವಿತರಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಭರ್ಜರಿಯಾಗಿಯೇ ರಿ-ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗಲಿದೆ. ಇದು ವಿಷ್ಣು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯೂ ಹೌದು. ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 18ಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬವಾದರೆ, 20ಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ರಿಲೀಸ್.

ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರ 90ರ ದಶಕದ ಸೂಪರ್ ಡ್ಯೂಪರ್ ಹಿಟ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ರೆಗ್ಯುಲರ್ ಲೆಕ್ಕಾಚಾರಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಉಲ್ಟಾ ಮಾಡಿ, ಸಿದ್ಧಸೂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಆಚೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಎಷ್ಟರಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆಂದರೆ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್, ಅನಂತ್ ನಾಗ್ ಇದ್ದರೂ.. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ವಿತರಕರು ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೆದರಿದ್ದರು. ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಆಗಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾವನ್ನು ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದರು ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್.

ವಿಶೇಷವೇನು ಗೊತ್ತೇ.. ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ದೇಸಾಯಿ ಅವರ ಎದುರು ಒಂದು ಕಂಡಿಷನ್ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ವಿಲನ್ ಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ ನಾನು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕನಾಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಅರೆ.. ದುಡ್ಡು ಹಾಕುವ, ನೋಡಲು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ಹೀರೋ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಡಿಮ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಇಡಬಹುದಾಗಿತ್ತಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಾ..? ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರೋದು ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯ.

``ದೇಸಾಯಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಉತ್ಕರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಹೀರೋ. ಆದರೆ ಮಿಂಚಿದ್ದು ದೇವರಾಜ್. ತರ್ಕ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಂಕರ್ ನಾಗ್ ಹೀರೋ. ಆದರೆ ಮಿಂಚಿದ್ದು ದೇವರಾಜ್. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ದೇಸಾಯಿ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಲನ್ ಆದರೆ ಮಿಂಚಬಹುದು ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡು ವಿಲನ್ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಷರತ್ತು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೆ' ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್.

ವಿಷ್ಣು, ಅನಂತ್ ಅವರಂತಹ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ನಟರ ಎದುರು ಹೊಸಬನನ್ನು ವಿಲನ್ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂಬ ಹಿಂಜರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಪಾತ್ರ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಂತೆ ದೇಸಾಯಿ. ಆದರೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ಜನರು ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲರಿಗೆ ಬೈಯ್ಯುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಗೆದ್ದುಬಿಟ್ರಿ ನೀವು ಎಂದು ಬೆನ್ನು ತಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಂತೆ ದೇಸಾಯಿ.

ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್, ಅನಂತ್ ನಾಗ್, ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ಸುಮನ್ ನಗರ್‍ಕರ್, ರಮೇಶ್ ಭಟ್.. ಹೀಗೆ ಹಲವು ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಸಂಗಮವಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ, ಕನ್ನಡದ ಬೆಸ್ಟ್ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದು. ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ದೇಸಾಯಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಟಾಪ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಆ ಸಿನಿಮಾವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ರೀರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷದ ಥ್ರಿಲ್‍ನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಅನುಭವಿಸಲು ವಿಷ್ಣು ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳೂ ತುದಿಗಾಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಪ್ರೆಸ್‍ಮೀಟ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಘಟನೆ ಇದು.

ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಮಯೂರ ಹೋಟೆಲ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಹೂರ್ತ ನೆರವೇರಿತ್ತು. ದಿನಾಂಕ : ಮೇ 12, 1993. ಶಂಕರ್ ಬಿದರಿ, ಕೆಂಪಯ್ಯ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಪ್ರೆಸ್‍ಮೀಟ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ವೇಳೆ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಗ್ಯಾಲರಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಯಂಗ್ ಜರ್ನಲಿಸ್ಟ್ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಎಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಇಂಟರೆಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದವೆಂದರೆ ಆತನ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ವತಃ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಕೂಡಾ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಹಲವು ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಜರ್ನಲಿಸ್ಟುಗಳೂ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಆ ಯುವ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಷ್ಣು ಜುಗಲ್‍ಬಂದಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದ ಆ ಯುವಕ, ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಮುಗಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಟೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟ. ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಶಾಕ್.

ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಸುದ್ದಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿಗಳು ಮುಗಿಯುವ ಮೊದಲೇ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು ಹೊರಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ವಿಷ್ಣುರಂತಹ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ನಟರಿದ್ದಾಗ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರೂ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಶಿಸ್ತುಬದ್ಧರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಅಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ರೋಮಾಂಚನ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಎದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇಕೆ ಎಂದು ವಿಷ್ಣು ಕೂಡಾ ಗಾಬರಿಯಾದರು.

ತಕ್ಷಣ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯಕನನ್ನು ಆ ಯುವಕನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕರೆದುತರುವಂತೆ ಕಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಆ ಯುವಕನ ಬೆನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಹೋದ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಾಯಕ ತಂದ ಉತ್ತರ, ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಿಗೂ ಶಾಕ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು.

ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಆ ಯಂಗ್ ಜರ್ನಲಿಸ್ಟ್, ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತನೇ ಆಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್‍ಗೇ ರೋಮಾಂಚನಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದ ಆತ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತು ಆಟೋ ಡ್ರೈವರ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದ. ಸುದ್ದಿಗೋಷ್ಟಿಯ ನಡುವೆ ಎದ್ದು ಹೋದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿತರಲು ಹೋದ ಸಹಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ಕಂಡಿದ್ದು ಆಟೋ ಡ್ರೈವರ್ ಯೂನಿಫಾರ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟೋ ಓಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದ ಯುವಕ. 

90ರ ದಶಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚಲನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆಂದೇ ರಿ-ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್. ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿಯಿಂದ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಸುಂದರಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಇನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷವೆಂದರೆ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿಗೂ ಡಬ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸೆ.20ರಂದು ಹಿಂದಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಆಗಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು 60 ಲಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ರಿ-ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೇ ಒಂದು ಕೋಟಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಖರ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ.

ಆಗ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದವರು ಇದು 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಬರಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಎಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆ ಮಾತೇ ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಕಾರಣ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್.

ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ದೇಸಾಯಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಪೀಸ್ ಆಗಿರುವ ನಿಷ್ಕರ್ಷ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್, ಅನಂತ್‍ನಾಗ್, ಸುಮನ್ ನಗರ್‍ಕರ್, ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
