Jayatheertha's latest venture 'Bell Bottom' which was released on the 15th of February in Karnataka is all set to release across America on the 22nd of February. The film is being released by Sandalwood Geleyara Balaga.

One of the highlights of 'Bell Bottom' is four well known directors have worked for this film. While, Jayatheertha is directing it, Yogaraj Bhatt, Rishab and Shivamani are acting in the film in main roles. The film is a periodic thriller set in the 1980s. The film is about the adventures of a detective called Divakar.

'Bell Bottom' is written and directed by Jayatheertha. T K Dayanand has helped him in the screenplay an dialogues of the film. Ajaneesh Lokanath is the music director, while Santhosh Kumar K C is the producer.

On September history will be made in USA. For the first time an exhibition related to Kannada films he being held in California on Sept 8th. Some rare photographs chronicling the 85-year history of Kannada talkie films will be exhibited there. It will be part of the Kannada function organised by the America Kannada Koota. 

KM Veeresh, the editor of Chitraloka.Com has been invited to provide the necessary photographs for this photo exhibition. Chitraloka has exhibited photo exhibitions on Kannada films in Bengaluru, Mysuru and New Delhi. It has twice been listed in the Limca Book of Records for the largest photo exhibition. Chitraloka had displayed Dr Rajkumar acted all his Movie photos at Lumbini Garden.

Last year a photo exhibition on the life and career of Dr Vishnuvardhan was held in New Delhi as part of the Dr Vishnuvardhan National Festival. During the celebration of Rebel Star Ambareesh's 60th birthday, an exhibition of 600 of his photographs was organised by Chitraloka. This is the first photo exhibition outside India.

Sandalwood's sensation KGF is just a day away from penning a new chapter in the history of Kannada movies, as it set to release worldwide on a grand scale! In India alone, the magnum opus directed by Prashanth Neel starring Rocking Star Yash produced under Hombale Films of producer Vijay Kiragandur is opening to at least 2000 screens, in five languages, which is a first for any Kannada film.

Insofar as United State of America, which is one of major market for Indian movies abroad, is also gearing up for a red carpet reception for KGF.

“In USA alone, KGF is releasing in at least 34 states to 84 screens of which a majority will be premiere shows on Dec 20 (in U.S.). The first chapter of KGF will be releasing in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil in the U.S.,” the sources said.

The Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) which is set in the late 70s and early 80s, is a period drama revolving around one of the bloodiest episodes with KGF being the epicentre.

Meanwhile, advance bookings are in full swing with tickets being sold like hot cakes in Bengaluru and in rest of the state. Barring a few multiplexes, the advance ticketing in some major multiplexes are yet to open. Indeed, a big Friday for not just KGF, but for the entire sandalwood. Kannada organisations in USA have organised a memorial event for Puneeth Rajkumar on Saturday. The prayer meeting will be held at Bay Area on November 6 at 5 PM. 

Sewa Community Centre in Milpitas, California is the venue for the prayer meeting. Kannada organisations in the USA, Bengaluru Voice & Kasturi Media in association with Kannada organisations like KKNC, TVKS and SJKS have organised the meet in memory of the Sandalwood star who passed away last week. 

Puneeth was a beloved star of the expat Kannada community in the USA and had a big fan following among them.
