  • Director Siddalingaiah Critical

    Well known director-producer Siddalingaiah who has been admitted to Suguna Hospital a few days back for ill health is critical. However, the doctors who are treating him have said that his condition is stable and there is nothing to worry.

    On Thursday Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president Thomas D'Souza along with others like Ba.Ma. Harish, Krishnegowda, Nandihal, Anand P Raju visited Siddalingaiah visited Suguna Hospital where he has been admitted for the last few days and enquired about his health.

    Siddalingaiah came to Kannada film industry as a floor assistant and went on to become a well known director in the coming years. His first film as a director was Dr Rajkumar's 'Mayor Muttanna' and Siddalingaiah went on to direct some great films like 'Bangarada Manushya', 'Doorada Betta', 'Nyayave Devaru', 'Bootaiayyana Maga Ayyu' and others. He also turned producer with 'BMA' and went on to produce films like 'Ajeya', 'Prema Parva', 'Prema Pallakki' and others.

    Well known director-producer Siddalingaiah (81) who was admitted to Suguna Hospital in Rajajinagar a few days back has died due to H1N1. He was critical for the last few days and has breathed his last on Thursday afternoon. He is survived by his family, friends and fans.

    Siddalingaiah came to Kannada film industry as a floor assistant and went on to become a well known director in the coming years. His first film as a director was Dr Rajkumar's 'Mayor Muttanna' and Siddalingaiah went on to direct some great films like 'Bangarada Manushya', 'Doorada Betta', 'Nyayave Devaru', 'Bootaiayyana Maga Ayyu' and others. He also turned producer with 'BMA' and went on to produce films like 'Ajeya', 'Prema Parva', 'Prema Pallakki' and others. He was given the Puttanna Kanagal award for his contribution to Kannada cinema in 1993-94. Apart from that his 'Bangarada Manushya' and 'Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu' bagged the best and second best film awards respectively.

Veteran Actresses like Hema chaudhary deserves better awards from the Karnataka Government.  

  • KFCC Remembers late Siddalingaiah and K N Taylor

    The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce on Monday afternoon mourned the death of late directors Siddalingaiah and K N Taylor who died last week due to health related issues. A number of dignitaries including KFCC president Thomas D'Souza, secretaries Ba Ma Harish and B R Keshav, Dwarkish, K S L Swamy, Dr Jayamala, K V Chandrashekhar, Nagabharana, Hema Chaudhary, Chinnegowdaru, Bharghava, Bhagwan, Raghu and others including KFCC Executive Committee members were present at the occasion and remembered Siddalingaiah and K N Taylor.

    Dr Jayamala said that both Siddalingaiah and K N Taylor were here mentors. While Siddalingaiah introduced her to Kannada cinema, it was K N Taylor who gave her a big break in Tulu cinemas. Jayamala said it was very sad that her mentors died in a week's time.

    KFCC ex-president K V Chandrashekhar said that the government must name a couple of awards in Siddalingaiah and K N Taylor's name in the coming years.

     

  • KSL Swamy Hospitalised

    Veteran director turned actor K S L Swamy has been admitted to the Columbia Asia Hospital for ill health. Doctors says he is slowly recuperating and is out of danger. K S L Swamy has been suffering from illness for the past few days. However, he was busy with acting in 'Dodmane Huduga' starring Puneeth and Radhika Pandith. Due to ill health he is not able to attend the shooting of the film.

    Meanwhile, he has been admitted to Hospital for treatment.
