There were rumors about me, that i stay away from reporters, that i do not like them; they are false accusations. I do not have much anger on them. I get angry only when someone write false news, or when some one commit any mistake.

There was a similar incident during the time of “Gandhada Gudi” movie. It was a photo of Vishnuvardhan and Rajkumar, who was smiling and folding hands. When that photo was published, a particular reported commented on the photo below stating “why is Rajkumar smiling?, is it because his role should turn out good?, is it because Vishnu’s role will be bad?, is it okay if his role turns out bad and vishunu’s will be be good?” after reading that any person would tend to get angry . is this the way anyone writes? Few days after that incident, I traveled to Mysore with Chi. Uday Shankar. Co incidentally, i met that reporters and i called them near me to speak. Chi Uday Shankar was with me when i called those reporters and he instantly witnessed my tone and guessed something was wrong. When those reporters arrived i straight away fired my questions at them. The reporters didn’t have any answers with them.

We faced another such incident during the shooting of Babruvahana. There were few reporters, who commented that Rajkumar did not know to act. I kept quite, even my husband kept quite. when Everyone was furious on those reporters who commented on Rajkumar’s acting skills, my husband subsided the situation telling “they have rights to write and they have written correctly. “ Many a times, there were incidents when a very upsetting questions were asked.

During the time of Raghu’s shooting, a reported asked me,” Raaghu or Rajkumar - who will act better ?’ is that a question to be asked, Raaghu is my son and Rajkumar is my husband . how can i possibly answer that question ? being a film industry person, i had complete faith in my son. Even under any circumstances, if anyone spoke something wrong, i never kept quiet.
After all these bad encounters with reporters, i made a rule that no reporter was allowed on the sets of Rajkumar’s movies. What was use of use of calling reporters to shooting if they were going to spread rumors? Few days later, reporters organised a programme and tried to fix things. My husband was asked to speak in that function. He agreed and during his speech he said “write whatever you want about me, but don’t write anything about my family .” Among the reporters there were few of them who were close to our family, they were P.G.Srinivas and Murthy, B.MK.

Once, when my husband was speaking to the senior reporter, he casually asked them “why do they write such things?”. The reporters then replied that “what can we do sir? Young hot blood?” upon hearing that Rajkumar instantly replied “so there’s is hot blood, our’s is staled blood ?”

Rajkumar did not act for 3 years as he didn’t find any good scripts. During that time i was travelling to Ganghadhareshwara temple with Chi Udayshankar. While travelling through Uma theatre circle, few auto drivers spotted Chi Udayshankar and confronted him as to why he not writing a good script for Rajkumar . when things started getting out of control, I had to get down from the car, intervene in matter. I scolded all those people who confronted Udayshankar telling that “what was Udayshankar’s mistake, he did not tell Rajkumar not to act, he didn’t act for 3 years, why are you blaming him.”

After that incident Chi Udayshankar visited our house straightaway instead of returning his home and went to rajkumar and told him “ sir, if u don’t act in films, people will throw stones at me .” it was then we took up the movie script called “Manasu Mallige”. All of us, along with Dore Bhagwan, started contemplating about this script. Chi Udayshanker did not like the script. When we narrated other script, he immediately liked it. It was a script written by Udayshankar’s teacher’s wife Vishalakshi Dakshina Murthy.

Udayshankar asked Rajkumar 3 months time to complete the script, my husband replied “take 6 months time, no hurry” upon hearing that udayshankar joked “ if i take 6 months time, people will throw stones at me” , having said that, he prepared the script within one month itself.

During the time of “Ravichandra” movie, Rajkumar started taking complete responsibility of the movies. He started making movies through Vajreshwari itself. The first 3 movies of Shivanna was also done by me. Between all these, Rajkumar had again given hatrick of 25 weeks success through the movies Jeevana Chaitra, Aksmikha, Hodhahuttidhavaru.

Only through kannada heroines our movies can turn out better. They should know the language better and only then they can act well. Earlier, when i had selected Manjula to act for Sampathige Saval” movie, Dwarkish then said Manula is fit to act as grand daughter. Then I said its okay, iI particularly want her to act in that movie. The eye act done by Majula during Kuchupudi dance in Mohini Basmasura play performed at Prabha Shishuvihara was alluring.

After that, the movies acted by Manjula was running successfully for 25 weeks. The last movie which Rajkumar and Manjula acted together was “Nee Nanna Gellalare”. I was not ready to cast her in that movie, but she requested and insisted my brother to convince me to cast her . One day she visited the house and told that she would keep a photo of Rajkumar and worship him if i cast her, so i told her to keep a photo in her heart and not at home.

Interest and passion should be mainly found in producer more than anyone. Costumes should always be according to the script. I have decided the costumes for all the heroines in my movies.Hence, all the heroines have retained fame and respect.

I like few directors, and one among them is Sridhar. There will be no choreographer in his movies. He will choreograph his own dance steps according to the situations. Sangeetham Sreenivasa Rao, Sethu Madhavan too , did not need dance choreographer’s.

Director C V Rajendran who was a relative of Sridhar and had directed Trimurthi movie. His direction was extraordinary. When the conduct and behavior of director is good, the movie turns out efficient and Trimurthi is an example for that. There were few people who used to speak against those directors. They said those directors have weakness and they r not good enough. Who doesn’t have weakness. Every body has weakness, but we should not worry about it so much.

At the end of everything, we only want a good movie. I didn’t show much interest towards trimurthi story. Till the end i didn’t know the story because i didn’t visit the set of trimurthi. I stayed at hotel itself looking after my son. If the movie director was someone who i know very well, then we can discuss with them, but i never used to do that with directors i was not very familiar with.

Greatness of chi. Udayshankar....

You should listen to the dialogues written by Chi. Udayshankar. Nobody writes like that these days. In those days dialogues were memorised orally. I didn’t do the distribution of trimurthi even though it was a first film under my banner. We used to take Rs. 2 lakhs for the distribution of raj’s other movies, but for this movie i asked them for Rs 3 lakh rupees. They denied. I said leave it. Later, after few days, they gave 3 lakhs for this movie. 

NO TO SOMASEKHAR....

At this point i should remember Lakshman Rao. When we were planning to make Shankar Guru, few of our people were against from V Somshekhar directing Shankarguru movie. I told those people that i don’t need them if they are against V Somshekar. Later, i was adamant that i need V Somshekar to direct the movie and finally he did it. That time it was Lakshman Rao who gave us 8 lakhs and purchased the rights

. He even said he will give us more money but I refused it. Shankarguru was a huge hit. Rajkumar had acted in 3 roles and hence the movie making cost was comparatively low. In those days, shooting expenses were low compared to present day’s expenses. We used to go to shooting locations together, 100 of us and 28 days. We always carried necessary things to shooting spot and stayed together like a family.

Even actors during those times were really understandable. They never demanded for anything in particular. We all stayed together.Present generation people should understand all these. They still don’t know how the industry works. For each and everyone you need to book a separate room. If we celebrate a heroine’s birthday on shooting sets, even the ice cream bill will be added to the producer’s account.

When Rajkumar had shootings in Mysore he used to stay in Sujatha, and in Bangalore he used to stay in Highland hotel. He never stayed in big hotels, because he always wanted to stay together with his entire movie unit. He always liked staying with directors, cameramen, associates. The friendliness was such that, Rajkumar and the movie unit used to finish shooting by evening, come back to their hotel and discuss about next day’s shooting plan, and next morning they used to go to shooting place together and because of this the work used to run smoothly.

But at present times, everybody stays wherever they want, by the time u bring them all together, you will be exhausted.

The health condition of Parvathamma Rajkumar is critical but under control say doctors at the MS Ramaiah hospital. The senior producer has been hospitalised for the last three days due to health issues.

Today the doctors along with family members including Shivarajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar announced that she is under observation and her health had become critical. She is in intensive care and doctors were tying to stabilise her condition.

Doctors along with Shivarajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar and Sa Ra Govindu requested all not to spread wrong news about Parvathamma Rajkumar health condition. 

Senior producer and one of the pillars of Kannada film industry, Parvathamma Rajkumar is dead She was aged 78 years. She was hospitalized for the few three days in MS Ramaiah hospital. She died this morning after developing complications and doctors were unable to save her.

Raghavendra Rajakumar on Thursday afternoon visited the Parvathamma Rajakumar samadhi at Kanteerava Studio in Bangalore.

On Wednesday, Raghavendra Rajakumar along with brothers Shivarajakumar and Puneeth Rajakumar visited the Parvathamma Rajakumar samadhi and offered prayers there.

Speaking to media persons after that, 'we couldn't witness the cremation of my father due to various reasons. But my mother's cremation was done very peacefully. I thank the Government, police, media and fans for that' said Raghavendra Rajakumar.

The families of Shivarajakumar, Puneeth Rajakumar and Raghavendra Rajakumar will be doing rituals at the Samadhi on Wednesday afternoon.

Parvathamma Rajkumar will be buried with state honours at the Sree Kanteerava Studio this evening. The state government decided it will be a state function. She will be buried next to Dr Rajkumar at the memorial.

Ambareesh, Rockline Venkatesh and others inspected the spot earlier. The procession from the Sadashivanagar residence to Kanteerava Studio is expected to start at 4.30 pm. The burial is slated for 6.30 pm.

ಶಿವರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್, ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬದ ದಿನ ಪೂನಾದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ರುಸ್ತುಂ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಶಿವಣ್ಣ ಬಂದರೆ, ಇಡೀ ಚಿತ್ರತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ನಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಗೆ ನಷ್ಟವಾಗದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ್ದು ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಅನ್ನೋದು ಅಪ್ಪಾಜಿ ಪಾಲಿಸಿ. ಶಿವಣ್ಣ, ಅಪ್ಪಾಜಿಯ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅಮ್ಮನ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಪುನೀತ್.

ಅಮ್ಮಾ.. ನೀನು ನಮಗಾಗಿ.. ಸಾವಿರ ವರುಷ ಸುಖವಾಗಿ.. ಬಾಳಲೆ ಬೇಕು.. ಈ ಮನೆ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿ.. ಇದು ಕೆರಳಿದ ಸಿಂಹ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಹಾಡು. ಹಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವರು ಪಂಡರೀಬಾಯಿ. ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದವರು ಡಾ.ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ ಮೂರ್ತಿ. ಈಗ ಆ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಾಯಿಗಾಗಿ ಹಾಡಿದ್ಧಾರೆ.

ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಮೊದಲ ವರ್ಷದ ಪುಣ್ಯತಿಥಿಯಂದು ಈ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಶಿವರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್, ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಹಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಡಿನ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಹಳೆಯ ಫೋಟೋಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಲಾಜ್ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ವಿಡಿಯೋವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿಯ ಪುಣ್ಯತಿಥಿಯ ದಿನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇಡೀ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅಮ್ಮ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವ ಕೊರಗು ಯಾವತ್ತಿಗೂ ಇರುತ್ತೆ. ಅಮ್ಮನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಟಿಯಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಡೀ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆನ್ನೆಲುಬಾಗಿದ್ದವರು. ನಮ್ಮ ನೆನಪುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸದಾ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಾಯಿಯ ಗುಣಗಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಶಿವರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್.

ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಸಿರಿಗೆರೆ ಯರಿಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಬರೆದ ದೊಡ್ಮನೆ ಅಮ್ಮ ಕೃತಿಯೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಯ್ತು. ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮನವರ ಪುಣ್ಯತಿಥಿ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಹಲವೆಡೆ ಅನ್ನಸಂತರ್ಪಣೆ, ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರಗಳೂ ನಡೆದವು.

ಆ ಹೋಟೆಲ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಐಪಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಲೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಫಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಅದ್ಭುತ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಎಂಟಿಆರ್ ಮಾಲೀಕ ಸದಾನಂದ ಮಯ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿವಿಐಪಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಲೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಫಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಐಡಿಯಾ ಬಂತು. ಅದನ್ನು ಅಣ್ಣಾವ್ರಿಂದಲೇ ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂದು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿಯೇಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

ಎಂಟಿಆರ್‍ಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಲ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೀನಿ. ತಿಂಡಿ ಭಾಳ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿರುತ್ತೆ. ಇದೇ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾರಿಸೋಣ ಬಿಡಿ ಎಂದರು ರಾಜ್. 

ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಎಂಟಿಆರ್‍ಗೆ ಹೋದರು. ಚಿನ್ನದ ಲೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಫಿ ಕುಡಿದು, ಜಾಮೂನು ತಿಂದು.. ತಿಂಡಿಯನ್ನು  ಬಾರಿಸಿದರು.

ಯಡಿಯೂರು ವಾರ್ಡ್‍ನ ಮಾಧವನ್‍ರಾವ್ ವೃತ್ತದಿಂದ ನಾಗಸಂದ್ರ ವೃತ್ತದವರೆಗಿನ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಡಾ.ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಎಂದು ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಫಲಕವನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ನಟ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ರಾಜ್​ಕುಮಾರ್, ಪುತ್ರ ವಿನಯ್‍ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್, ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಚಿನ್ನೇಗೌಡ, ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಸಹೋದರಿ ನಾಗಮ್ಮ, ಅದಮ್ಯ ಚೇತನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿನಿ ಅನಂ ತ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್, ಉಪಮೇಯರ್ ಎಸ್.ಆನಂದ್, ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಸದಸ್ಯೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಿಮಾ ರಮೇಶ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮತ್ತಿತರರು ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

ಇದೇ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಶಾಂತಾ ಚಿತ್ರಮಂದಿರವಿತ್ತು. ರಾಜ್ ಬ್ಯಾನರ್​ನ 27 ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಶಾಂತಾ ಚಿತ್ರಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶತದಿನೋತ್ಸವ ಆಚರಿಸಿರುವುದು ವಿಶೇಷ. ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮನವರು ನಿಧನರಾದ ಎರಡೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿಗೆ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ರಾಜ್​ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ರು. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಇಡೀ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಅಕ್ಕಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು, ಪೋಷಿಸಿ ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಸಿರಾಗಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂಬ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ಶಿವರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್​ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಜರಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್​ಕುಮಾರ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ವಸಮ್ಮತ ತೀರ್ಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಬಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ನಗರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಅದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರ ನೀಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗೆಂದು ಈ ರೀತಿ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಮುನ್ನವೇ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಹೊಸ ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಹೊಸದೇನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಬೀಳುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟರ್​ಗಳು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಬೇರೆಯದ್ದೇ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲವ್ ಸ್ಟೋರಿ ಹೇಳಲು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಐ ಲವ್ ಯೂ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಪ್ರಚಾರದ ವೇಳೆ, ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮನವರ ಲವ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ಐ ಲವ್ ಯೂ ಅನ್ನೋಕಾಗಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿರುವ ಉಪ್ಪಿ ರಾಜ್-ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ನಡುವಿನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಾವು ಕೇಳಿರುವ ಕಥೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ರಾಜ್ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಶೂಟಿಂಗಿನಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಐ ಲವ್ ಯೂ ಹೇಳೋದು ಅಷ್ಟು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಿಸ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗೆಲ್ಲ ರಾಜ್ ಅವರ ಪಂಚೆಯ ತುದಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆರಳಿಗೆ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಒಂಟಿತನ ಮರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಅದು ಗ್ರೇಟ್ ಲವ್ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಉಪ್ಪಿ.

ಈಗ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ-ರಚಿತಾ ರಾಮ್-ಸೋನುಗೌಡ ನಡುವಿನ ಲವ್‍ಸ್ಟೋರಿ ಗ್ರೇಟ್ ಲವ್ ಸ್ಟೋರಿನಾ..? ಆರ್.ಚಂದ್ರು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿರುವ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಮಾಯಾಜಾಲ ಹೇಗಿದೆ ಅನ್ನೋದನ್ನ ಥಿಯೇಟರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಿ, ಖುಷಿಪಡಿ. 

ಅಮ್ಮ ಇರುವವರೆಗೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಶಕ್ತಿಧಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ರೆಗ್ಯುಲರ್ ಆಗಿ ಹೋಗತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಮ್ಮನೇ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನಿಭಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಭಾಯಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅಮ್ಮ ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮನೆಯ ಹಿರಿಯ ಸೊಸೆ ಗೀತಾ ಮಾಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೆಲ್ಲ ಒಪ್ಪಿದೆವು. ಅವರೇ ಈಗ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಗೀತಾ ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ರೆಗ್ಯುಲರ್ ಆಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು. ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಅಪ್ಪು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬೆರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಶಕ್ತಿಧಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ.

ಅಪ್ಪು ಸಮಾಧಿ ಎದುರು ಶಿವಣ್ಣ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಒಂದು ವಿಡಿಯೋ. ಸೋಷಿಯಲ್ ಮೀಡಿಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವಣ್ಣ ಶಕ್ತಿಧಾಮದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಖೋಖೋ ಆಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ವೈರಲ್ ಆಗಿದೆ.

ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದರೆ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಣ್ಣ, ಅಪ್ಪಾಜಿ ಎಂದೆಲ್ಲ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಮಗೂ ಅವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ ಅಲ್ವಾ? ಅವರೂ ಇನ್ನೂ ಅಪ್ಪು ನೋವಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅವರ ಜೊತೆ ಆಪ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದವನು ಅಪ್ಪು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನೂ ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಹೊರತರುವ ಅದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾವೂ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ಮರೆಯುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಖೋಖೋ ಆಡಿದೆ ಅಷ್ಟೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಶಿವಣ್ಣ.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಅಭ್ಯುದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕಿ ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸೌತ್ ಎಂಡ್ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಡಾ. ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಎಂದು ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲು ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟರ್ ಪೂರ್ಣಿಮಾ ರಮೇಶ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವನೆಗೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸರ್ವಾನುಮತದಿಂದ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ವಿಶೇಷ. ಯಡಿಯೂರು ವಾರ್ಡ್‍ನ ಮಾಧವನ್ ರಾವ್ ಸರ್ಕಲ್‍ನಿಂದ ನಾಗಸಂದ್ರವರೆಗಿನ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮನವರ ಹೆಸರಿಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ವಿಳಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಡಾ ಅವಕಾಶವಿಲ್ಲ. ಜುಲೈ 21ರಂದೇ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ನಾಮಕರಣವೂ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ನಾಳೆ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ (ಜುಲೈ 21) 10.30ಕ್ಕೆ ರಸ್ತೆ ನಾಮಕರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವೂ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.

ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ಅನಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಮಾಜಿ ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಆರ್.ಅಶೋಕ್, ಮೇಯರ್ ಪದ್ಮಾವತಿ, ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟರ್ ಪೂರ್ಣಿಮಾ ರಮೇಶ್ ಮೊದಲಾದವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಇಡಲಿರುವ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶಿವರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ.

ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಸರಸ್ವತಿ ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ - ಇದು ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮನವರ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಪ್ರೇಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾದೀತು. ಮಯೂರ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ದಾಖಲೆಯ ಮಾತು ಬಿಡಿ, ಈಗಲೂ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ರೋಮಾಂಚನ. ಮಯೂರು ದೇವುಡು ನರಸಿಂಹ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯವರ ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಆಧರಿಸಿದ ಚಿತ್ರ. ಕದಂಬರ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕನ ಆ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಳೆಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹುಡುಗನೊಬ್ಬನ ಬಳಿ. ಬೇರೆಯವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೇನೋ. ಆದರೆ, ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಮಾರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹುಡುಗನನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸಿ, ಅವನಿಂದ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಿ ಓದಿದರು. ಆ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಇದ್ದ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯೇ ಮಯೂರ. 

ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಥೆಯಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವವರು ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮನವರ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೊಮ್ಮೆ ನೋಡಬೇಕು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ರ ಜೀವನದುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದು ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಆಧರಿಸಿದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೇ. ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಸರಸ್ವತಿ ಎಂದರೆ, ತಪ್ಪಾಗಲಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲ.

ಜೀವನ ಚೈತ್ರ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯಾದದ್ದು ವಿಶಾಲಾಕ್ಷಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯವರ ಜೀವನ ಚೈತ್ರ ಕಾದಂಬರಿ.ಡಾ. ರಾಜ್​ರ ಕೊನೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರ ಶಬ್ಧವೇದಿ, ವಿಜಯ ಸಾಸನೂರ ಅವರ ಅದೇ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯದ್ದು. ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕ ಚಿತ್ರ ತರಾಸು ಅವರ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕ-ಅಪರಾಧಿ-ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ಒಟ್ಟು ಮೂರು ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳ ಸಮ್ಮಿಲನ.

ಸಾಯಿಸುತೆಯವರ ಮಿಡಿದ ಶೃತಿ, ಚಿರಬಾಂಧವ್ಯ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಾದವು. ಹೆಚ್.ಜಿ. ರಾಧಾದೇವಿಯವರ ‘ಅನುರಾಗದ ಅಂತಃಪುರ’ ಅನುರಾಗ ಅರಳಿತು ಚಿತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಅರಳಿತು.

ಕನ್ನಡವಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಬೆಂಗಾಳಿ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಪನ್ನಾಲಾಲ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಅವರ ಮಲೇಲಾ ಜೀವ ಕಾದಂಬರಿ, ಕನ್ನಡದ ಸೊಗಡನ್ನು ಮೈದುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಜನುಮದ ಜೋಡಿಯಾಯಿತು. 

ಶಿವರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್​ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹ್ಯಾಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಹೀರೋ ಬಿರುದು ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟ ಆನಂದ್, ವಿದ್ಯುಲ್ಲತಾ ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬ ಅನ್ನೋ ನೀಳ್ಗತೆಯನ್ನಾಧರಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ, ಎರಡನೇ ಚಿತ್ರ ರಥಸಪ್ತಮಿ, ಮತ್ತದೇ ವಿದ್ಯುಲ್ಲತಾ ಅವರ ರಥಸಪ್ತಮಿ ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಆಧರಿಸಿದ ಚಿತ್ರ. ಮೂರನೇ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮನ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದ ಹುಡುಗಿಯೂ ಅಷ್ಟೆ. ಕುಂ. ವೀರಭದ್ರಪ್ಪನವರ ಬೇಟೆ ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಆಧರಿಸಿದ ಚಿತ್ರ.

ವಿಜಯ ಸಾಸನೂರು ಅವರ ಧ್ರುವತಾರೆ, ಜ್ವಾಲಾಮುಖಿ, ಸವ್ಯಸಾಚಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕಾಕೋಳು ಸರೋಜಮ್ಮನವರ ಮುಸುಕು ಕಾದಂಬರಿ, ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಚಿತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಶಿವರಾಮ ಕಾರಂತರ ಚಿಗುರಿದ ಕನಸು ಅದೇ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಟಿ.ಕೆ. ರಾಮರಾವ್ ಅವರ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಮನುಷ್ಯ, ಪಿ.ಬಿ. ದುತ್ತರಗಿಯವರ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಸವಾಲ್ ನಾಟಕ, ವಾಣಿಯವರ ಎರಡು ಕನಸು, ಚಿತ್ರಲೇಖ ಅವರ ಸಮಯದ ಗೊಂಬೆ,  ಬರಗೂರು ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರಪ್ಪನವರ ಹಗಲು ವೇಷ, ವೀರಪ್ಪ ಮೊಯ್ಲಿಯವರ ಸಾಗರ ದೀಪ..ಎಷ್ಟು ಚಿತ್ರಗಳೋ..ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳೋ..ಇವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ನೋಡಿದರೆ, ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮನವರನ್ನು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಸರಸ್ವತಿ ಎಂದರೆ ಅದು ಉತ್ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷೆಯ ಮಾತಂತೂ ಖಂಡಿತಾ ಅಲ್ಲ.
