Suman Nagarkar's debut film as a producer Babru  teaser was released by challenging star Darshan on Monday evening. Movie is getting released on 6th December.

The film has the distinction of being shot completely in America for the very first time. The film being directed by IT professional Sujay Ramaiah is about a journey from Mexico to Canada. Sujay says he got the idea when he was driving with Rakshith Shetty and it was Rakishith who encouraged him to direct a feature film. Earlier, Rakshith and Sujay had done a few short films and Now Sujay is making his debut as a full length feature film.

The film stars Suman Nagarkar, Gana Bhatt and others in prominent roles. Poornachandra Tejaswi is the music director, while Suhas is the cinematographer. The film has been shot completely in America for 30 days.

ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ಸಿನಿ ಲಾಂಚ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ಪ್ರೀಮಿಯರ್ ಶೋ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ನವೆಂಬರ್ 2ರಂದೇ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರೀಮಿಯರ್ ಶೋನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಬ್ರೂಗೆ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಯ ಮಹಾಪೂರವನ್ನೇ ಹರಿಸಿದ್ದರು.  ಅಮೆರಿಕಾದ ಸಿನಿ ಲಾಂಚ್‍ನ ಅಷ್ಟೂ ಪರದೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೌಸ್ ಫುಲ್  ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಕಂಡ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬಬ್ರೂ.

ಒಂದು ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಜರ್ನಿಯ ಕಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಪ್ರೇಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸಸ್ಪೆನ್ಸ್, ಕ್ರೈಂ ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ಕಥೆಯಿದೆ. ಈವರೆಗೆ ಯಾವ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಾಣಿಸದೆ ಇದ್ದ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬಬ್ರೂ.

Babru, the first ever Kannada film shot entirely in the United States of America, is a road trip movie which involves two strangers with different motives. A thriller of a kind, Babru is a pleasant ride filled with good amount of surprises along with twists and turns to it.

As the makers claims it is a journey covering upto 1503 miles on the road, it is quite a trip for the audience who seek for some fun entertainment attached with thrilling elements. It is the technical team headed by Sujay Ramaiah, a software engineer turned director based in California makes Babru look stunningly beautiful on the screen. It is swift too. Suman Nagarkar puts up another memorable act along with the freshers including Mahi Hiremath and the rest of the cast. 

It takes a wild turn when the two comes to know that they had been carrying drugs worth over ten million dollars. With money coming into play, the trip takes on an adventurous mode with a chase for a lifetime. How the two end up with money is Babru's USP. The film which was premiered in the USA on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava, will see the talented actress Suman Nagarkar in a comeback venture, a thriller which traces an epic road trip of two strangers across the USA.

Passion and love for Kannada movies, brought together a bunch of NRIs who along with Suman Nagarkar has led to the making of Babru. As Mahi Hiremath, Suman plays one of the two protagonists alongside Sunny Moza and others including Rey Tostado, Prakruthi Kashyap, Gaana Bhat, Sandeep Belliyappa and Bharath Sripad.

Actress Suman Nagarkar of 'Beladingala Baale' has turned producer with a new film called 'Babru'. The film is being directed by Sanjay Ramaiah and the shooting for the film is already completed.

'Babru' is set in America and the film revolves around few character essayed by Suman Nagarkar, Sunny Moja, Mahi Hiremath, Prakruthi Kashyap and others. The film is being shot in Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Avenue of Giants and others and other places.

'Babru' has music by Poornachandra Tejaswi, while Sujay Ramaiah is the cameraman.
