Sharan starrer 'Avatar Purusha' was supposed to release last year. However, due to Covid, the film got delayed and now the film is scheduled to release on the 28th of May.

Recently, actor Sharan celebrated his 49th birthday and the team wished him with a birthday teaser. The team has announced the release date of the film in this teaser. 'Avatar Purusha' is made in two parts and while the first part called 'Avatar Purusha - Ashtadigbandha Mandalaka' will release on the 28th of May, the second part called as 'Avatar Purusha - Ashtavakra' will release after a two or three month gap.

'Avatar Purusha' is scripted and directed by Suni. The film stars Sharan, Ashika Ranganath, Srinagara Kitty, Sudharani, Bhavya, Saikumar and others in prominent roles. William David is the cinematographer, while Charan Raj is the music composer. The film is produced by Pushkar Films.

Pavan Wodeyar has already completed major portions of his latest film 'Raymo' starring Ishaan and Ashika Ranganath. Meanwhile, Pavan has announced that the film will be dubbed and simultaneously released in Telugu and Tamil apart from Kannada. 

'Raymo' was launched in June last year and Pavan had completed almost 80 percent of the film. The team had planned to complete the film by April, when lockdown was announced. Now the team intends to shoot the remaining portions soon and release it in 2021. 

Meanwhile, producer C R Manohar who is very much impressed about the shaping up of the film has decided to dub the film in Telugu and Tamil and release it there also. Hero Ishan's first film 'Rogue' was released in Kannada and Telugu. Now, 'Raymo' will be released in three languages.

'Raymo' stars Ishan, Ashika Ranganath, Sharath Kumar and others in prominent roles. The film is being written and directed by Pavan Wodeyar. Arjun Janya is the music director, while Vaidi is the cameraman

Sharan starter Raambo 2 has successfully completed hundred days. This film is one of the few hits in Sandalwood this year. The film completed 100 days in two single screen theatres in Mysuru and Shivamogga and several Multiplex screens across Karnataka including Bengaluru. 

The film completed the successful run in Gayathri and HPC theatres of Mysuru and Shivamogga and in DRC multiplex in Mysuru, The Cinemas, PVR, Carnival, Gopalan, Inox and Cinepolis multiplexes in Bengaluru. The film has also turned out to be a big hit overseas. It was released in several countries including USA and Canada. Raambo 2 brought together Sharan and producer Atlanta Nagendra together after their collaboration in Raambo earlier. The thriller also stars Chikkanna, Ravishankar and others.

After delivering the superhit film Raambo in 2012, the trio - Sharan, Tharun Sudhir and Nagendra returned after a gap of six year with its sequel - Raambo-2, which went on to become the most successful movie for the year 2018. The movie which released on May 18, 2018, is celebrating its first anniversary at the box office.

Apart from being Sharan's first ever film in the lead as hero to complete 100 days at the box office, both in single screens and multiplexes across the state, the movie also introduced new talents such as choreographer Bhushan, playback singers Mehboob and Aditi Sagar to the sandalwood.

The movie which almost had every technician from Raambo working in its sequel was co-produced by Tharun Sudhir, Arjun Janya, Chikkanna, Sudhakar Raj, Prakash K M, Mohan B Kere and Narasmiha Jalahalli. 

Apart from being the highest grossing movie of 2018, its television premiere recorded the highest TRP as per the BARC rating. And, one of the it's most popular number Chutu Chutu has crossed a record 80 million hits on YouTube alone. Furthermore, most of its songs were top chartbusters on FM stations for several weeks.

Insofar as director Tharun Sudhir, who has had a superhit combination with Sharan for films like Raambo, Victory, Victory 2, and Adyaksha, worked as the creative head for Raambo-2.

Finally, Atlanta Nagendra, joined the hattrick club with Raambo-2 after his previous two hit films Raambo and Joke Falls.

Ever since Raambo-2's phenomenal success, fortune seems to be favouring the pretty Ashika Ranganath, who has been the hot favourite for the filmmakers. Days after she signed 'Raymo' being directed by Pavan Wadeyar, she has bagged another one, and this one stars Dynamic Prince Prajwal Devaraj in the lead.

The yet-to-be titled project being directed by P C Shekar of Romeo, Raaga and The Terrorist fame, has revealed that Ashika Ranganath will be playing the female lead in his next starring Prajwal Devaraj. 

"Ashika will be seen in a different role in this one, where she will play the role of a doctor. Unlike her previous characters, this one will showcase her in a serious mode and more than dialogues, expressions will play a major role," says director P C Shekar.

As earlier said, the film will revolve around an underworld gangster, to be played by Prajwal Devaraj, wherein he will be seen in three different shades in the movie. "Unlike the regular underworld subject, this one will be based on undercurrent scenario without the presence of long machetes (macchu/longu)," Shekar concludes.

Sharan's new film 'Avatar Purusha' to be directed by Suni is all set to be launched soon. Meanwhile, the heroine of the film has been finalized and it is none other than actress Ashika.

Sharan and Ashika had acted together in 'Rambo 2'. The film was not only a huge success, but the pairing of Sharan and Ashika was a hit. Their famous song `'Chutuchutu Antaiti' was a rage among the people. Now the same pair has been repeated in 'Avatar Purusha' also.

Suni himself has scripted the film apart from directing it. William David is the cinematographer, while Charan Raj is the music composer. This is not a joint venture and the film is solely produced by Pushkar Mallikarjunaiah under Pushkar Films.

If everything had gone expected, then 'Kaaneyadavaru Prakatane', a film by Anil Kumar (of Rambo 2, Dilwala fame) was supposed to release last year itself. However, due to the pandemic and lockdown, the film has been pushed for May this year. Meanwhile, Ashika Ranganth is said to have made a cameo appearance in the film.

Director Ashika Ranganath has confirmed about Ashika playing a role in the film. Anil says that the character of Ashika can't be judged by her costumes in the film. Ashika's role depicts that costumes can't judge a man's character and nature.

Apart from Ashika, Rangayana Raghu, Ravishankar, Tabala Nani, Chikkanna, Tilak and others play prominent roles in the film. Anil himself has written the story and screenplay for the film, which has music composed by Arjun Janya. The film is jointly produced by A J Talkies and Bilwa Entertainers.  

Actress Ashika Ranganth has been selected to play the female lead in Pavan Wodeyar's new untitled film.

Ashika Ranganth recently had signed Sharan's `Avatar Purusha' being directed by Simple Suni. The film is in the shooting stage and even before the release of the film, Ashika will be acting in Pavan Wodeyar's film.

The new untitled film stars Ishaan in lead role. The film will be produced by C R Manohar. As of now the film is in the scripting stage and the film is expected to go on floors in the month of July.

Well known choreographer Dhan Kumar is all set to turn director with a new film called 'Garuda', which is all set to go on floors soon. 'Garuda' marks the return of Siddarth Mahesh who made his debut with 'Sipayi' with last year's 'Sipayi'. The film was not a big success at the box-office. Now Siddarth is back with Garuda. Deepa Sannidhi and Ashika Ranganath of 'Crazy Boy' fame have been roped in as the heroines of the film.

Raghu Deekshith who is back composing music for 'Happy New Year' is composing the music for this films also.

With the shooting of 'Madagaja' stalled as actor Srimurali is seriously injured in  a fight scene, the team has decided to wait until the actor recovers.

Meanwhile, the team has released a 'Lovesome' teaser of the film featuring Srimurali and Ashika Ranganath. All these days the content released from the team was massy and featured only the action part of the film. This time, the team has released a teaser, which showcases the love angle between Srimurali and Ashika from the film.

'Madagaja' stars SriMurali, Ashika Ranganath, Jagapathi Babu, Shivaraj KR Pet and others in prominent roles. The film is being produced by Umapathi Srinivas Gowda who had earlier produced 'Robert' and 'Hebbuli'. Mahesh who had earlier directed 'Ayogya' is directing the film.

Most anticipated movie in the sandalwood Madagaja starring Sri Murali has been censored with U/A certificate and is ready to get released on December 3rd. Madagaja is produced by Umapathy Srinivas under the banner of Umapathy Films and directed by S Mahesh Kumar.

The film features Sriimurali, Ashika Ranganath and Jagapathi Babu in the lead roles. Arjun and RAm Lakshman has done the stunts for the movie and Ravi Basur has scored the music. cinematography work has been done by Naveen Kumar and Harish Komme as editor.

After the phenomenal success of 'Natasaarvabhowma', director Pavan Wadeyar's next starring Ishaan and Ashika Ranganath is titled 'Raymo'.

MLC C R Manohar, was also present as his nephew Ishaan is returning with his second venture in Kannada after making his debut in Rogue directed by Puri Jagannath.

"It was a pleasant surprise when Shivanna and Geethakka took their time to wish us on the pooja. We are now on the hunt for suitable locations," says Pavan Wadeyar.

Sources say that the director is headed to Hyderabad in search of locations.

With just few days to go for the grand release of director and producer Shashank's 'Thayige Thakka Maga’ starring Krishna Ajai Rao in his 25th film, Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar has released its video of the title track.Penned by Shashank himself, the title track composed by Judah Sandy is sung by Kannada rapper Chandan Shetty. 

While releasing the video song, Puneeth Rajkumar has expressed his excitement saying that the title of the film is very special to him as it reminds him of his legendary father Dr. Rajkumar. The hit combination of Shashank and Ajai Rao is hoping for a hat trick after Krishnan Love Story and Krishna Leela.

Last Friday's Kannada release Raambo 2 has taken a tremendous opening at the box office. The opening weekend including Sunday has been above expectations according to trade sources. The film released in over 200 screens across Karnataka.

There was a big demand for the film from exhibitors as a big Kannada film has not released in the last few weeks. However the screens were limited to maximise the first week collections. The film has  managed houseful shows in most centers it is released. Backed on this trade analysts point out that Raambo 2 has taken one of the biggest first weekend collections in Karnataka in 2018.

Raambo 2 is also one of the big budget Kannada films of 2018.
