The Kempegowda Road in Gandhinagar is where the main theatres of Kannada films are located. However in the coming week it looks like it will become a Telugu film hub. On January 11, Khaidi No. 150 starring Chiranjeevi is releasing in Bhoomika theatre on the road. A day later on January 12, another Telugu film Gautami Putra Satakarni is releasing in Santhosh theatre.

Kannada film Lee that was planned to be released in Santhosh will have to look for another Theatre now. There are very few theatres left on Kempegowda Road now. With two major theatres screening Telugu films this week, Kannada films have been pushed out. The two Telugu films are also releasing in many single screen theatre in Bengaluru that usually screen Kannada films.

Khaidi No 150 is announced to release in 2 theatres in Gandhinagar. Apart from Bhoomika it is also releasing in Movieland, the theatre that has traditionally screens Telugu films in the area.
However both films have claimed the same theatres in rest of Bengaluru. Both are fighting for the same screens like Rex, Urvashi, Mukunda, Sandhya, Renukaprasanna, Manasa and others.
