Ganesh starrer 'Chamak' has successfully completed 100 days and has the distinction of being the first movie to complete 100 days in GT World Mall in Magadi Road in Bangalore.

'Chamak' is a family entertainer and for the first time in his career, Ganesh will be playing the role of a doctor in the film. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine of the film. Sadhu Kokila and others play prominent roles in the film. Ganesh's daughter Charitrya has played the role of his daughter in the film. 

'Chamak' is being written and directed by Suni of 'Simpleaag Ond Love Story' fame and produced by Chandrashekhar. Judah Sandy is the music director of the film, while Santhosh Rai Pathaje is the cameraman.

Puneeth Rajkumar's Anjaniputra releasing on Thursday is set for a huge release. In Bengaluru the film is releasing in all 27 multiplexes and many of them will have a record number of shows. PVR Vaishnavi will have a record 15 shows followed by GT World Mall with 14 shows.

PVR Orion is next with 13 shows and Cinepolis in Binnypet with 12 shows. The total number of shows in multiplexes alone is a whopping 206. Apart from this the film is also releasing in 39 single screen theatres in Bengaluru. Each of the single screens will have at least four shows. This means that the film will have a minimum of 362 shows tomorrow. This is one of the biggest ever for any film in Bengaluru.

One of the highlights is that the film will have six shows in Rex Theatre on Brigade Road on Thursday which is a record. Apart from Puneeth Rajkumar the film stars Rashmika Mandanna, Ramya Krishnan, Ravi Shankar, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkanna, Akhilendra Mishra and others.

The film comes after Rajakumara for Puneeth which became the highest grossing film of all time in Kannada earlier this year.

Harsha director Anjaniputra is remake of Tamil movie Poojai. That is what most people tend to believe but in reality Anjaniputra is only inspired from the Tamil movie. An example of this can be seen in the length of both these movies. While the Tamil movie is 158 minutes long Anjaniputra is only 138 minutes long.

The difference of 20 minutes which is huge indicates that there is much difference between the two films. The difference in the duration is because Anjani Putra is only inspired from the story of Pooja and has been entirely rewritten. Vishal produced and acted in the lead role in the Tamil version. Anjaniputra is releasing this Thursday. This is the first film directed by Asha for Puneeth Rajkumar though he has choreographed for the actor in several films earlier.

The scene in the film Anjaniputra which was opposed by an advocate has been deleted. After deleting the scene which is 17 seconds long the new version has been uploaded on the UFO and Qube networks.

This happened at 6.30 pm today. So any show that started after that will not have the scene. An advocate has approached the court seeking deletion of the scene.  The film released last weekend and has become a big hit.

The screening of Anjaniputra will not stop in any theater screening it across Karnataka despite reports in media that a court in Bengaluru has given a stay order on the film. No one in the film business knows if the court has really made such an order as no one has served them with a copy of the orders.

Hundreds of theaters are screening the film and if there is an order it has to be served on them to stop screening. Theaters and exhibitors will not stop screening based on TV news sources say.

Sources say that if they stop screening based on reports it will kill their business for all films. But if there is really a court order and if it is legally made known to them and they are directed by the court to stop screening they will. But as of now no notice has been received by anyone connected to the film or any theaters screening the film.

The shooting of Puneeth Rajkumar's new film Anjaniputra has been kept on hold. As Parvathamma Rajkumar is in hospital and her contition is not too good, Puneeth is with her.

The film has a fresh feel and a contemporary take on the compulsion of marriage and how the young people today approach it. Marriage is not seen as a lifetime effort and commitment. But it only takes a few things to realise how do deal with it. That is what is shown in the film in an interesting manner. 

Ganesh plays a gynecologist who is afraid of marriage. However he continues to seek for a bride and rejects but rejects everyone. Finally in a friendly banter his friend advises him to lie about his partying ways and find a bride. It works. He marries a stay-at-home girl and it seems to be a match made in heaven. But it does not take long to realize that there is cheating going on. Within two months of marriage the two seek for divorce. What is the secret that made them come to this conclusion? Will their marriage work? For that you have to watch the magic created with this film. 

There is some top notch performances from Ganesh and ably supported by Rashmika Mandanna. Ganesh look perfect for the role that is made for him. He manages to bring tears to the eyes in a couple of scenes without effort. It shows his superb acting skills. Her character changes from being a homely girl to a party girl to a housewife to a revenge seeking person to a girl in need. She manages to portray all these emotions ably. 

Suni has made Chamak with so much interest that it shows. The special attention is given to making the characters real and timely. The dialogues are also good and apt. Behind the screen, the work of the cinematographer Santhosh Rai Pataje is good. The music also matches the mood of the film and the BGM is especially good. This is a perfect film for the Kannada audience to end 2017 and welcome 2018. Chamak is one of the best films we have seen this year.
