  • Goli Soda Supporting Cauvery Bundh - Movie Releasing On 10th

    Kolla Praveen produced movie Goli Soda is supporting the Cauvery Bundh and have postponed the release of the movie from September 9th September 10th. 'Goli Soda' is the remake of the Tamil hit of the same name and stars new comers. Raghu Jaya who had earlier directed 'Rajadhani' is the director.
    Kolla Praveen, co-producer of 'Manikya' and 'Power Star' is the producer of the film.Hemanth, Priyanka Jain, Divya, Chandan, Vikram and Madhusudhan amongst others play prominent roles in the film.

    Challenging Star Darshan has arrived in Mandya to lend support to the farmers who are protesting against letting Kaveri water to Tamil Nadu.

    Darshan said that water is being given for growing crops in TN while there is no water for drinking in Karnataka. He said that justice has been very wrong for Karnataka this time. The people of Karnataka are very open hearted. With this we have dragged a stone on our own heads, he said. Darshan said he was not just an actor from Bengaluru but also a farmer. I have eaten the salt of Mandya and I have to repay it, he said.

    He said Mandya is his home and he does not need any security to visit it. Kaveri is our mother and we cannot tolerate injustice to it, he said.

    The Kannada film industry has decided to support the bundh called by pro-Kannada activists regarding the Kaveri water issue.

    Speaking to Chitraloka.com, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president Sa Ra Govindu said that the industry has decided to close down all the activities on September 09th and will be supporting the bundh called by pro-Kannada activists.

    Sa Ra Govindu said he will be coordinating with the other wings of the film industry regarding this and has asked support from all the different wings of the Kannada film industry.

  • Sudeep Kaveri Cause From Kashmir

    Sudeep who is away in Kashmir shooting for the film Hebbuli travelled a distance to talk about the Kaveri water crisis.

    Tweeting about it he has said, "There is no network at Sonmarg (where we are shooting) and had to travel a distance just to tweet and say that my support towards Kaveri issue is always there. I request all to remain calm amd I am sure the government concerned will surely do the needful and make sure justice is done. We the actors and the industry have always stood for our people and will always stand up whenever required. There is no two way about it. We the industry have always respected our people and have stood up and come forward to support and history says it all," he said in a series of tweets.

    Sudeep has also cautioned against reacting in haste. He further commented,
    "Reacting in haste is not going to take us anywhere. Justice can be achieved only through the right way and I am sure our government will do what is required. We the industry love our people and we have never hesitated to stand up for the rights."
