Sharan's new film 'Rambo 2' which is being directed by Anil is all set to release on the 18th of May in Nartaki and other theaters across Karnataka.

'Rambo 2' is being produced by Sharan and Atlanta Nagendra under the Laddoo Films banner. The film is being co-produced by technicians and music composer Arjun Janya, cinematographer Sudhakar Raj, editor K M Prakash will be working partners for the film.

'Rambo 2' stars Sharan, Ashika, Chikkanna and others in prominent roles. Another highlight is  actresses Shruthi Hariharan, Shubha Poonja, Mayuri, Sanchita Padukone and Bhavana Rao have danced with Sharan for a special song. Aindrita Ray is also seen in a special item song in this film.

If all had gone well two years ago, Ashika Ranganath would have been part of Shashank's Mungaru Male 2. She is now the leading lady in the director's Thayige Takka Maga. She would have acted in Shashank's film earlier itself the actress has revealed.

Ashika had auditioned for a role in Mungaru Male 2 but the director felt she was too young for that role. When Shashank took up the new film he himself called up Ashika and offered her the lead role. This is the third film of Shashank and Ajai Rao together. Thayige Takka Maga is releasing this week. The video song of the title track of the film will be online at 6pm today.

Actress Ashika who made her debut in 'Crazy Boy' opposite Dilip Prakash has played a prominent role in Gurunandan's new film 'Raju Kannada Medium'. Ashika is seen in the role of a school girl and the first love interest of Gurunandan in the film.

The film is being written and directed by Naresh Kumar who had earlier directed 'Ist Rank Raju'. Avantika Shetty is the heroine for Gurunandan. The film is being produced by K A Suresh under Suresh Arts.

The talkie portions for the film is completed and the team will be going abroad for the shooting of songs soon.

One thing that comes to the mind of audience after watching 'Crazy Boy' is that a new star is born through this film. Dilip Prakash who is making his debut in the film as a solo hero easily wins the hearts of the people by his performance and style.

'Crazy Boy' is a college love story with lot of commercial ingredients to it. The film tells the story of Arjun (Dilip Prakash) and Nandini (Ashika) who study in the same college and later become lovers. Though their thought process is same, one main difference between them is while Arjun hails from a poor family, Nandini is a rich sister of a multi-millionaire. Nandini's brother who supports the lovers, plays a double game by separating them. What happens next forms the crux of the film.

Though the story looks a little overused, it is the screenplay and narration which matters and kudos to screenplay writer Ajay Kumar and director Mahesh Babu in making a neat, youthful and engaging film. Apart from the screenplay and direction, Jessie Gift's music and Shekhar Chandru's cinematography adds valuable inputs to the overall film.

Dilip Prakash doesn't look like a newcomer and stuns everyone with his energy, style and performance. Ashika is also done a neat job when it comes to acting and dancing. Ravishankar is another highlight of the film with two different shades. The others have also done a commendable job.

Actor Darshan and well known Tamil comedian Santhanam on Monday night released the songs of Crazy Boy amidst a big gathering at the Capitol Hotel in Bangalore. One of the highlights of the film is, the songs have been released to the market by Akash Audio after a long gap. Jessie Gift has composed the music for the film.

Director Mahesh Babu, writer Ajay Kumar, actors Dilip Prakash, Ashika, lyricist Nagendra Prasad, music director Jessie Gift and others were present at the occasion.

The third schedule of Srimurali starrer 'Madagaja' was started last week and the team is busy shooting a fight and major portions for the film. Meanwhile, the team has decided to release the first look of the film on 17th of December.

Actor Srimurali will be celebrating his birthday on the 17th of December and the team has decided to gift him the first look of the film. Already the announcement video of the first look was released in Anand Audio channel of Youtube and the video has got good feedback from film buffs.

'Madagaja' stars Murali, Ashika Ranganath, Jagapathi Babu, Shivaraj KR Pet and others in prominent roles. The film is  being produced by Umapathi Srinivas Gowda who had earlier produced 'Robert' and 'Hebbuli'. Mahesh who had earlier directed 'Ayogya' is directing the film.

ಅಶಿಕಾ ರಂಗನಾಥ್ ನೋಡೋಕೆ ಹಾಲಿನ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಸುಂದರಿ. ಕ್ಯೂಟ್. ಅಂತಹ ಹುಡುಗಿ ಮದಗಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಪ್ಪಾಗಿ ಕಾಣ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಹುಡುಗಿ. ರೈತರ ಮನೆಯ ಮಗಳಾಗಿ ನಟಿಸಿರೋ ಅಶಿಕಾಗೆ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೆಯದ್ದೇ ಮಾದರಿಯ ಪಾತ್ರವಿದೆ. ನನಗೆ ಗದ್ದದೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡೋದು ಗೊತ್ತರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಗದ್ದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೆರಡು ದಿನ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಕಲಿತುಕೊಂಡೆ. ಸೈಕಲ್ ಹೊಡೆಯೋದು.. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಗಂಡಸರ ಸೈಕಲ್ ಹೊಡೆಯೋದು ಗೊತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕಲಿತೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಧಮ್ ಹೊಡೆಯೋ ಸೀನ್ ಇದೆ. ಅದಂತೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಪಟ್ಟೆ ಕಷ್ಟವಾಯ್ತು ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಶಿಕಾ.

ವಿದ್ಯಾವಂತೆ. ವ್ಯವಸಾಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಇರುವ ಹುಡುಗಿ. ತುಂಬಾ ಬೋಲ್ಡ್, ರಫ್ & ಟಫ್ ಪಾತ್ರ. ರಾ ಲುಕ್ ಎಂದು ಪಾತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ, ವಿಶೇಷತೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾತಾಡ್ತಾರೆ ಅಶಿಕಾ. ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ಬೇಕಿದೆ. ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಕೆಲವು ಟಿಪ್ಸ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಅಶಿಕಾರನ್ನು ನಟ ಶ್ರೀಮುರಳಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹಲವು ನಾಯಕಿಯರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದೆವು. ಆದರೆ.. ಈ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಎನಿಸಿದ್ದು ಅಶಿಕಾ ರಂಗನಾಥ್ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಮಹೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್. ಉಮಾಪತಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಫೆ.20ರಂದು ಮುಹೂರ್ತ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ.

ಆದರೆ ವಿಷಯ ಇದ್ಯಾವುದೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಶಿಕಾ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ರಿಸ್ಕ್ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಶಿಕಾ ಇರೋದೇ ಬೆಳ್ಳಗೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಪಾತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಮೈಬಣ್ಣ ಕಪ್ಪಾಗಬೇಕು. ಬಿಸಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಚರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಕಪ್ಪಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ ನಂತರ ಹೊಸ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇನ್ನು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮುಗಿದ ನಂತರ ಸ್ಕಿನ್ ಟೋನ್ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮೊದಲಿನಂತಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಾಡೋಕೂ ಆಗಲ್ಲ. ಅಷ್ಟರಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ರಿಸ್ಕ್‍ನ್ನೇ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಶಿಕಾ ರಂಗನಾಥ್.
