Actress Vedika who was last seen in last year's super hit film 'Shivalinga' starring Shivarajakumar is back with a new film called 'Gowdru Hotel'. The film is a remake of Malayalam hit 'Ustad Hotel'.

'Gowdru Hotel' is being directed by Pon Kumar, while Satish Reddy, Ramesh Shiva and Satyan are producing the film. Mammootty's son Dulqer Salman had made his debut in the original, while Rachan Chandra is making debut in the Kannada version of 'Ustaad Hotel'.

Another highlight of the film is well known music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, son of Music Maestro Ilayaraja will be making his debut in Kannada through this film. The shooting for the film is all set to start in the month of April.

Well known Telugu actor Balakrishna on Sunday evening graced the 100 days function of Shivarajakumar starrer Shivalinga along with Ambarish at the Town Hall in Bangalore.
Balakrishna who is fondly known as Balayya along with Ambarish felicitated the artistes and technicians of the film.

Shivarajakumar, Geetha Shivarajakumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Vinay Rajakumar, Vijay Raghavendra, Vedika, P Vasu and others were present at the occasion. One of the highlights is, Shivarajakumar's debut film 'Anand' was released on June 19th, 1986. Now 'Shivalinga' 100 days celebrations was also held on the same day. 'Shivalinga' has the distinction of being the first Kannada film to celebrate 100 days this year.
