Actor Yash has released the trailer of T N Seetharam's new film 'Coffee Thota' on Sunday afternoon in Bangalore. Yogaraj Bhatt and others were present at the occasion.

'Coffee Thota' stars Raghu Mukherjee, Radhika Chethan, Samyuktha Hornad, B C Patil, Achyuth Kumar, Sudha Belawadi, Sundarraj, Hanumanthegowda and others in prominent roles. Ashok Kashyap is the cameraman of the film, while Mithun Mukundan and Anup Seelin has composed the music for the film.

The film is being produced under the Manvanthara Chitra banner. The film will be released across Karnataka by Jayanna Films.

If everything had gone right, then KPCC president G Parameshwar was supposed to release the songs of 'College Kumar' on Sunday at the Chowdaiah Memorial Hall in Bangalore. However, in his absence minister K Manju released the audio of the film.

Apart from K Manju, KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu, Malasri, Dhruva Sarja and others attended the event and released the songs composed by Arjun Janya.

'College Kumar' stars Vicky and Samyukta Hegde as the hero and heroine. Ravishankar and Shruthi also play prominent roles in the film. 'College Kumar' is being produced by L Padmanabha. Santhu himself has written the story and screenplay of the film.

A film that is actually a collection of different short stories is not a new experiment in Kannada. Puttanna Kanagal tried that ages ago in Katha Sangama. It was an attempt to bring together short story literature to the big screen. It was a time when there was no Kannada television to make short stories into moving images. In Dayavittu Gamanisi, it is not literature works that is brought to screen but stories written for the film. There are four stories in the film which surprisingly come together in the climax. Until then the characters in each of them are complete strangers to the others. 

The first story is about a man in his thirties who thinks he wants to lead a life without marriage. A proposal for marriage comes his way from an old person who is searching a groom for his daughter. But there is something strange and fishy in the details. The second story is about a thief who has no good life to speak of. The only way he knows to earn is by becoming a proxy for people on the wrong side of law. Such a person falls in love and the match can change him for ever. The third story is about a swamiji who has a past which is bigger than a book. His quest for what he is searching finds itself in front of his gate. But is the swamiji mature enough to treat it well? The fourth story is about a man who is frustrated at work. The work sucks away his personal and social life. Is his desparation enough to get him his life back?

These four stories each tell a complete story. There are many characters in each of them. The first story has Rajesh Nataranga, Prakash Belawadi and Ashwin as the main characters. The second story has Vasishta N Simha and Sangeetha Bhat as the main characters. The third story has Avinash Shatamarshan and Sukratha Wagle in the lead and the last story has Raghu Mukherjee, Samyukta Hornad and Bhavana in the lead. Rohit Padaki, the dialogue writer-lyricist has turned director with this film. He has turned out to be a good find for Sandalwood. His stories are simple yet profound. There are meanings to the stories that layer each other. 

The other good things about the film are the music by Anoop Seelin and photography by Arvind Kashyap. Dayavittu Gamanisi is an interesting collection of stories and a very good experimental film in Kannada. Do not miss this season's new wave film. 

Debutante director Rohith Padaki's 'Dayavittu Gamanisi' is all set to release on 20th of October.Meanwhile, the film is all set to be premiered in Australia on October 15th. Earlier, 'Ondu Motteya Kathe', 'U Turn' and other films were premiered in other countries much before they were released in Karnataka. Now 'Dayavittu Gamanisi' joins the bandwagon. 

Dayavittu Gamanisi' stars Raghu Mukherjee, Samyuktha Hornad, Bhavana Rao, Vasishta N Simha, Sangeetha Bhatt, Rajesh Nataranga, Prakash Belavadi and Sukrutha Wagle play prominent roles in the film. Rohith himself has written the story and screenplay of the film.

Anup Seelin is the music director, while Aravinda Kashyap is the cameraman of the film. The film is being produced by Krishna Sarthak in association with J P Music and Padaki Productions.

Hemanth Hegade's new film 'Sa' is all set to be released on the 26th of August and Hemanth Hegade intends to plan the film in only six theaters in Bangalore, Mysore and Mangalore.

Hemanth says he is taking a big risk this time. 'I know I am taking a huge risk for this film. Our distributor Mars Suresh is ready to release the film in 100 theaters. But I am doing an experiment with this film. This is not a regular film and the audience will take some time to come to this film. I don't want to release the film in 100 plus theaters and struggle hard to sustain the theaters. Instead I am planning to release the film in only six theaters in the first week and if the audience takes it well, the distributor can release the film in 100 theaters in the second week. If the audience does not take the film well, then it is upto the distributor to release the film in as many theaters he wants' says Hemanth Hegade.

Rahul starrer Jigar Thanda has created a history of sorts. Just when the film is running successfully in theaters, the film is all set to be screened in Colors Kannada on 24th July at 3 PM.

Recently Colors Kannada had acquired the satellite rights of the film produced jointly by Kichcha Creations and SRV Productions.  Now 'Jigar Thanda' is all set for a world premiere in television.

Rahul and Ravishankar starrer Jigarthanda is releasing in over 200 screens across Karnataka tomorrow. For Rahul who is just a few films old, the release is as big as that of a big star. The demand for the film from single screen forced a few films that were earlier scheduled to release this Friday to postpone their releases.

Jigarthanda Music Has International Touch

Jigarthanda is one of the best comedy films to come out of Sandalwood in recent times. The film also has the right mix of romance, sentiments and action to make it a complete commercial package. Rahul is back and so is Samyukta Horanadu. Sadhu Kokila and Chikkanna are the torchbearers of comedy. There is also Rakshit Shetty, K Manju and Guruprasad in small roles that add masala. And above all is Ravishankar as the menacing don Armuga (the name of his character in Kempegowda). The story is really about the don and his way of life and his transformation. But you do not realise it is his story till the very end. That is how the screenplay is structured which takes you on a jolly ride for nearly two and a half hours.

The film starts with a reality show and the fight between a producer and director about what is a good film; one that makes money or one that is intellectual. The beneficiary of this is a short-film maker (Rahul) who gets his first feature film to direct. But the producer tells him to make an action film. So he goes in search of a real character. He goes to a small town called Rudrapura which is virtually ruled by the don Armuga. In trying to get information about it, Rahul is himself trapped in the clutches of the don. How he manages to not only escape but also transform the dreaded don is narrated in a fast paced story by the director.

There is superb camera work and brilliant background score and editing. Arjun Janya scores some melodious tunes to match the mood of the film. There is no unnecessary things in the film. But whatever is present is for entertainment. So you also have an innovative drunk song inside a well.

The performances by all the actors is good. Ravishankar stands out as he has the most important role even bigger than that of the lead pair. Make sure that you book your tickets in advance for Jigarthanda is a sure shot success.

Arjun Janya has brought musicians and technicians from four different countries to work on the background score of the film Jigarthanda. Singers from Italy, string orchestra from Spain, guitaras played in Los Angeles (US) and technical help from Australia. It is a symphony orchestra composed abroad in four different countries in three differentcontinents. It is the first time such an attempt has been made for a Kannada film.The music is composed by Arjun Janya.

Approximately around 150 Kannada films made in the last few years have not yet been purchased by TV channels for telecast. These included some of the popular films with popular actors. Some hit films also did not get the price they expected.

For example, hit film Kendasampige sold for Rs 45 Lakh for TV while everyone in Sandalwood expected it to fetch at least Rs 1 crore. The TV market is so down that many under production films are in jeopardy. But there are some good tidings. Jigarthanda which was a comeback for Rahul has been picked up by a TV channel for Rs 1 crore. This is a good sign for Sandalwood.

JigarThanda is all set to be released on the 24th of June. One of the major highlights of the film is the film has been fully shot in Song F65 camera. Sony F65 camera is one of the costliest film cameras and Telugu's 'Bahubali' has been shot entirely in that camera. Though the camera has many Kannada films till now, the camera has been only used for shooting songs. 'Jigar Thanda' is the first Kannada film to be shot entirely in that camera.

The team of JigarThanda which is overwhelmed with the reaction from the audience is all set to visit prominent theaters in six cities on Monday. The JigarThanda team will first visit the Shantala theater in Nelamanga on Monday morning and will Ranganatha (Shira), Krishna (Tumkur), Prasanna (Chitradurga), Aruna (Davanagere) and Saraswathi (Haveri) theaters. The team will continue their theater visit in Northern parts of Karnataka in the coming days.

TN Seetharam's most anticipated movie 'Kaafi Thota' is all set to release on August 18th. Kaafi Thota is TN Seetharam has directed this movie after 10 years.

Sri Shivakumara Swamiji of the Sri Siddaganga Mutt had released the first poster of 'Dayavittu Gamanisi' being directed by Rohith Padaki few months back. Now another poster of the film, which features only the heroines has been released through social media.

Screen writer and dialogue writer Rohith Padaki has silently turned director with a new film called Dayavitty Gamanisi. The film has already been launched and the shooting is under progress. Rajesh Nataranga, Prakash Belawadi, Raghu Mukherjee, Vasishta, Sangeetha bhat, Samyuktha Hornad and Sukrutha Wagle play prominent roles in the film.

Rohith himself has written the story and screenplay of the film. Sources say, Krishna Sarthak in the main producer and Rohith along with music composer Anup Seelin are the co-producers of the film. Anup Seelin is the music director, while Aravinda Kashyap is the cameraman of the film.

Hemanth Hegade's new film 'Sa' which was released in six multiplexes in Bangalore, Mysore and Mangalore has taken a good opening in Box-office.

Hemanth Hegade says the film has taken 70% good opening at the box-office and is appreciated by one and all.

Actress Samyukta Hornad, daughter of Sudha Belawadi and niece of Prakash Belawadi hhas silently signed a new film called 'Omlette' and will be seen in a glamorous role in the film.

'Omlette' is written and directed by Venkat Bharadwaj. Venkat is the son of veteran director and lyricist C V Shivashankar. Venkat had earlier directed 'A Day In The City', 'Kempirve', 'Bablusha' and other films. Now he is back with a new entertainer called 'Omlette'. Already the shooting of the film has started and the team is planning to release the film earlier next year.

'Omlette' stars Samyukta Hornad, Niranjan Deshapande, Shobharaj, Naveen and others in prominent roles. Vishakh Ramprasad is the music director, while Jaidevan is the cinematographer.
