Actor Ananth Nag who normally shies away from attending public functions will not only be attending the audio release, but also will be releasing the songs of 'March 22'.

The audio release of 'March 22' is being held at Mangalore on Thursday evening and Ananth Nag will be releasing the songs of the film. KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu will be releasing the trailer, while actor Ashish Vidyarthi will be releasing the video songs of the film. 

'March 22' boasts of a huge star cast including Jai Jagadish, Vinaya Prasad, Sharath Lohitashwa, Ravi Kale, Sadhu Kokila, Padmaja Rao, Ashish Vidhyarthi and others. Apart from seniors, Aryavardhan, Kiran Raj, Chidanand, Meghasri and Deepthi Shetty are making their debut through this film.

Last Friday's release Godhi  Banna Saadarana Maikattu is turning out to be a sensation. After winning ample praise from critics,  the film is now attracting audience in large number who seem to have been smitten by it.

Almost everyone who has seen the film is vouching for a state or national award for Anant  Nag. The acting apart the film's sentiments seem to have endeared itself to the audience. The film directed by Hemanth Rao is seeing increase in shows since Friday.

On Saturday and Sunday there are more shows for the film than they were on Friday. The collection at box office were more on Saturday  and by the bookings,  it seems like Sunday will be much better.

Kodlu Ramakrishna is one director who has a great knack for doing commercial films as well as issue based films. His first film 'Udbhava' was a fine example to that and his latest film 'March 22' is one more added feather to his cap.

As the title itself suggests, the film tells the story about the importance of water. 'March 22' is celebrated as the International Water Day and the film not only tells about the water crisis, but also suggests about the conservation of water.

The film tells the story of the people of a village, which lives in harmony. The village faces a drought continuously for five years and the people invites a geologist to search for water in the village. After much search, the geologist finds water in a masjid. If the water has to be taken out, the masjid has to be torn down for which the people objects. What happens next forms the crux of the film.

Kodlu has been talking about the subject for many years and has released the film in the right time. The film not only talks about the conservation of water, but also about communal harmony. The film talks about life is bigger than any religion and caste and the film celebrates life. Indeed a fine and timely attempt by Kodlu and his entire team.

The film has a huge star cast and it is Sharath Lohitashwa, Vinaya Prasad, Jaijagadish and others who walks away with all honours with their performances. Ananthnag has a small role, but makes a great impact on the audience with his performance. Mohan's camerawork is great and Manikanth Kadri's and Ravishekar songs are a treat to the audience.

Earlier, there was news that actor-director Prakash Rai will be remaking Ananth Nag and Rakshith Shetty starrer Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu in Hindi. Now the actor himself has confirmed that he will producing the Hindi version also.

Prakash Rai on Wednesday night tweeted that he will be produding 'Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu' in Hindi through his Prakash Raj Productions.

Though Prakash Rai has confirmed that he will be remaking the films in other languages, he has not divulged any details about when the films would start or who would star in them. More details about the film are yet awaited.
