As the Assembly elections approach there are more and more film actors who are ready to join politics and give it a try. The latest it seems is Malashree. Producer Ramu and actress Malashree have remained far away from politics all these years.

Malashree was the reigning star of the film industry in the 80s and 90s. Her popularity was no less than that of any hero. Even today she acts in lead roles in films which cannot be said of many other stars. She surprised everyone today by meeting DK Shivakumar, one of the top Congress politician in Karnataka and the Energy Minister. The details of the meeting was not revealed. But it left no doubt that Malashree will be joining Congress and is also likely to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Sources said that she is likely to contest from Bengaluru itself. That is what the Congress wants her to contest from sources said. But nothing is confirmed yet. 

Senior actress Malasri has walked out of 'Uppu Huli Khara' claiming that the team did not treat her properly and she is very much upset the team's behaviour. 'Uppu Huli Khara' was launched on Sunday in Bangalore and Malasri was present during the launch of the film. Malasri says, she couldn't attend the next day's shooting because of health related issues and after that the team behaved badly with her.

Because of this ill treatment, Malasri has decided to walk out of the team. The film is being directed by choreographer turned director Imran and produced by M Ramesh Reddy.

Choreographer turned director Imran Sardariya's new film 'Uppi Huli Khara' starring newcomers was launched on Sunday in Bangalore. Infosys Foundation chairman Sudha Murthy came in as the chief guest and sounded the clap for the film. Actress Malasri is playing a prominent role in the film and she was also present during the occasion. Dharma Vish who scored music for 'Rathavara' and 'Ane Pataki' is scoring the music for the film. Movie is produced by M Ramesh Reddy. 

The shooting for the music will resume soon.

Kannada superhit movie Belli Kalungura was released in 1992. Movie is produced by Sa Ra Govindu directed by KV Raju. Sunil, Malashree are in the lead role. Sa Ra Govindu remembers the incident at Hampi. Watch Video

Infosys Foundation chairman Sudha Murthy has been a constant support for the 'Uppu Huli Khara' team from the beginning. It was Sudha Murthy who had sounded the clap for the film last year. Now Sudha Murthy released the songs of the film on Saturday evening.

The songs of choreographer turned director Imran Sardariya's new film 'Uppi Huli Khara' was released at PVR Cinemas in Forum Mall in Koramangala. Apart from Sudha Murthy, Dhruva Sarja, Rakshith Shetty, K Manju and others were also present at the occasion. Each one of them released each song and finally the album was released by Sudha Murthy.

The film stars Dhananjay, Anusri and others and actress Malasri has played a prominent role in the film.
