    T S Nagabharana's 'Allama' has got two major awards at the 64th National Film awards. While Bapu Padmanabh has been adjudged as the best music director, Make-up Ramakrishna has got the best make-up award. Apart from this a Kannada film called 'Reservation' has got the best regional film award.

    Dhananjay is seen in the role of Allama in this film, while Meghana Raj plays the role of courtesan Maya. Sanchari Vijay is Basavanna. The script of the film has been written by Siddagangaiah Kambal, N S Sridharamurthy, Pratibha Nandakumar, Prof Chandrashekhar Ushala and Sripathy Manjanabail. The dialogues of the film are written by Pratibha Nandakumar, Siddagangaiah Kambal and Veerappa Maralavadi.

    Hari Khoday who produced some classic films like 'Santha Shishunala Sharifa', 'Mysoru Mallige' and 'Nagamandala' is the producer. Dhananjay, Meghana Raj, Ramakrishna, Sanchari Vijay, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and others have played prominent roles in the film. G S Bhaskar is the cameraman, while Bapu Venkatesh is the music director.

    The songs of Dhananjay-Meghana Raj starrer 'Allama' was released by producer Hari L Khoday recently at the KSCA Hall in Bangalore. The audio release was a well attended event and many celebrities Chinnegowda, Professor Doddarange Gowda, Sangeetha Katti, Malathi Sharma, Sudheendra Sharma, Sanchari Vijay, Hari Khoday, Dhananjay, Meghana Raj, Pramila Joshai, Pratibha Nandakumar, T S Nagabharana, Pannaga Bharana was present at the occasion.

    'Allama' is written and directed by senior director T S Nagabharana, while renowned flautist Bapu Padmanabh has composed the music for the film.

  • Allama Songs to be Released on 31st March

    The shooting for Dhananjay and Meghana Raj starrer 'Allama - Bayalemba Beragu' has been completed and the songs of the film are all set to be released on the 31st of March. Bapu Padmanabh has scored the music for the songs of 'Allama'.

    T S Nagabharana's 'Allama' which is based on the great philosopher of the 12th century is all set to release on the 26th of January across Karnataka.

  • Allama, Harikatha Prasanga And U Turn For Panorama

    T S Nagabharana's 'Allama', Ananya Kasaravalli's 'Harikatha Prasanga' and Pavan Kumar's 'U Turn' has been selected for the Panorama section of the 47th International Film Festival of India to be held in Goa.

    The 47th edition of the International Film Festival of India has been organised in Panaji from the 20th to 28th of this month and in the Indian section called Panorama, 22 films from various different languages will be screened in the festival. Of the 22 films, three Kannada films have been selected to be screened.

    Of the three films, 'U Turn' has already been released and has been declared a hit, while the other two films 'Allama' and 'Harikatha Prasanga' are yet to be released in Karnataka. The other two films will be premiered in the International Film Festival of India directly.

    Kannada movie producer Nagamandala movie fame and Liquor Barrion Hari Khoday has expired today evening aroung 8.30 PM. Hari Khoday was suffering with his health issues from last few days. 

    His latest produced moive Allama starring Meghana Raj and Dhananjaya is directed by TS Nagabharana has been selected for panorama.

     

  •  Allamma In Festival Without Censor - Rules Relaxed

    Kannada film Allamma is one of the three films in the Indian Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India this year participating without a CBFC certificate.

    The rules were relaxed this year as many films were participating in other festivals or were theatrically released before the festival. To get more films to be fresh and get a premier show at the festival, the rules were relaxed. The Festival got underway in Goa on Sunday.
