With just two days for the most anticipated movie, Seetharama Kalyana starring Nikhil Kumar in the lead, to hit the screens worldwide, the making video of it on the facebook page of Chitraloka, a leading web portal for Kannada movies since 2000 along with multiple Limca Book of Records, has witnessed more than two million hits.

The making video of Seetharama Kalyana which has crossed 2.2 M views along with couple of thousands being shared by the netizens within a week after it was been uploaded on our official facebook page.

Recently, the trailer of the movie was released at a grand event organised at the torchlight parade grounds at Bannimantapa grounds in Mysuru. Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy along with his mother Channamma, his better half and the producer of the movie Smt. Anita Kumaraswamy and scores or politicians from the JD(S) party were present on the occasion.

During the trailer release, Mr. Kumaraswamy praised the work of the film team and shared that the movie also focuses on the agrarian community, which is his area of prime focus as a representative of the people. He also requested the movie lovers to encourage Kannada movies.

Produced under Channambika Films, Smt. Anita Kumaraswamy hoped that the people will bless Nikhil’s second movie as well.

Rakshit Shetty as that factory worker and Charlie the Labrador make this a 166-minute long experience that ceases to be a mere cinematic experience. This is life and what makes us human.

Animals in Indian films are restricted to the revenge seeking female snakes, elephants as a hero’s bodyguard and more frequently the faithful dog chipping in in a fight. With 777 Charlie, director Kiranraj K breaches new ground and explores that aspect of the human-animal story which we always wanted to see in films but never had the opportunity till now. Yes, this film is not just special in Kannada; it is a landmark, for its content, in the Indian film context too. 

The first half of the film is a comedy drama involving Charlie and Dharma (Rakshit Shetty). It is a laugh riot and the experience of having the whole theatre laugh simultaneously has to be experienced to understand. It was a long time ago this happened. The second half is more emotional as the human who has lost all his family finds not just a companion but a family member. Well, the dog being a dog could not have given anything but love in return.

The emotional bonding between the two, predictably starts with the comedy, turns to emotional heart-melting incidents and finally to a tear-jerking climax. A few scenes in the film are repetitive but the delightful journey makes everything worthwhile.

The production values of this film are the best money and talent put together could provide. It is top notch and 777 Charlie a very good contribution to the Indian film world from Sandalwood.

The performances are beyond applause. Rakshit and Charlie both deliver award-winning performances. Every character is neatly etched by Kiranraj and you can see that in the performances of the actors be it Raj B Shetty or Sangeetha Sringeri.

777 Charlie could not have arrived at a more appropriate time. This is one of the finest moments for the Kannada film industry. Kudos to the entire team for their conviction and determination in what they have achieved.

It's anniversary time for Kannada Cinema's first mega portal. The portal which was launched on the same day (26 June 2000) by Late producer Parvathamma Rajakumar has completed 21 years successfully and has marched towards 22nd year. 

Chitraloka.com is the pioneer and the first online portal for Kannada films. The portal just started with some cinema news and rare photographs and gradually went on to give other services and today, with advanced technologies, Chitraloka has created many milestones and is still barging ahead. 

Chitraloka is the first to organise a photo exhibition of some rare photographs and enter into Limca Book of World Records. It went on to create many milestones in the coming years and recently to name is the Silver Button from Youtube for successfully having 1 lakh number of subscribers and views.

Book my show mistake has once again got proved. As everyone know Nikhil Gowda starring Jaguarr was is getting released at Bangalore Santosh theater from 6th. Chitraloka editor K M Veeresh was seeing Book my Show And interestingly found Kotigobba2 ticket is getting issued at Santosh Theater. Immediately KM Veeresh swiped the card and blocked 2 tickets for Kotigobba 2 for 6th October 10.30 show. Veeresh got the ticket for Kotigobba 2 by message and by mail. This was brought to the notice of Jaguar team and KFCC office bearers.

Today Veeresh, KFCC secretary MG Ramamurthy, Vice President Umesh Banakar, producers Teshi Venkatesh and Jagan went to Santhosh theater. When contacted Santhosh theater manager Ganesh told its completely mistake of Book my show. We had told them not the book any tickets for our theater till Friday. I don't know why they have done it. It's purely mistake of Book my show.

During this time Veeresh received message from book my show which is as follows

What is the intension of Book My show for Kannada movies. They had literally killed Actor movie produced by KM Veeresh under the banner Chitraloka Movies. They had come to KFCC and had apologised for that. After that few more incidents had happened.

If u call and enquiry them they say sir it's technical mistake and it will not repeated again...

Chitraloka has taken this issue to KFCC and has given a complaint against the Book My Show. President Sa Ra Govindu called the concerned person from Book my show and they are coming to chamber today evening.

KM Veeresh and other producers have taken this issue seriously and going with legal.

The first Kannada film website Chitraloka.com has got one more feather in its cap. Chitraloka's official Facebook page has been verified by Facebook with the iconic blue tick. This means Facebook confirms the authenticity of the Chitraloka page.

Last week Chitraloka Facebook page articles became Instant articles. This is also a first time for any Kannada film portals. Chitraloka which has many firsts to its credit, including being the first Kannada film portal is the largest provider of Kannada film news. 

Chitraloka is the Verified partner for Google +, and Chitraloka Twitter account is again the first Kannada film website to have the blue tick.

The film industry has given the biggest gift possible to Chitraloka on its 19th birthday. On the day the oldest and the largest portal on Kannada films celebrated its birthday, its editor KM Veeresh was elected as the Honorary Treasurer of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, the apex body of the Kannada film industry. Veeresh has served in the executive committee of the KFCC earlier. This was his first attempt for a post in the office bearers. 

A day later today, KM Veeresh took charge along with the other senior members who have won the election including senior producer Chinne Gowda who is the new president. Veeresh thanked all the members who have voted in his favor and got him elected as Treasurer. Veeresh started his career as a sports journalist and then became a photo-journalist for Kannada films. He has been the editor of Chitraloka.Com since its inception in 1999. He also started Chitraloka Publication and Chitraloka Movies for movie production.

It’s a triple function at KSCA on Sunday and apart from Chitraloka’s 17th birthday and Chitraloka’s app release, the birthday of Chitraloka.com’s K M Veeresh was also celebrated on the same occasion.One of the highlights was, it was Veeresh’s 50th birthday and his friends from film fraternity celebrated the birthday in style.

Many of Veeresh’s friends including Sa Ra Govindu, H D Gangaraju, K V Chandrashekhar, Thomas D’Souza, B Vijayakumar, Ganesh  Dinesh Gandhi, Umesh Banakar, M G Ramamurthy, Ba Ma Harish, Karisubbu, Bharath Jain, Ramesh Kashyap and others were present at the occasion apart from family members of Veeresh.

Chitraloka.Com 17th Birthday Celebrated

Chitraloka.Com has become the first film website and Kannada film news provider to be officially recognised by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. 

Till now, only two Kannada newspapers, Udayavani, Kannada Prabha and Hosa Digantha are officially recognised as partners of the Kannada film industry. Traditional marketing techniques cannot be used in overseas movie screening. The budget required for traditional marketing is very high and is not viable for Kannada market. How do we promote the movies in overseas? Everyone wants an answer to the above question in the KFI. 

- We rely on online websites for movie promotion. Chitraloka has been a tremendous help in this area. This was the only portal since 2000 that has reached overseas audiences successfully. 

- We use Social Media (FB, Twitter) to post about the movie screening dates by creating our own pages. This has a very good reach in that particular geographical location. 

- We use also WhatsApp group locally to connect with local audiences about the movie release and other updates. 

- We also put the posters in the theatres that will screen movies Kannada movies regularly (2 weeks in advance).

- We also screen trailers for future movies during the screening of Kannada movies. 

- We also put the flyers and posters in the Indian Grocery stores. 

- We also put flyers in Indian Community centers, Temples. 

- We also take the help of local Kannada community (Kannada Koota) for promoting the movie by sending the newsletter to all the members. 

- The movie theatre also updates the Kannada movies in their website as well (Coming soon section).

- Distributors will also send email blast to entire Kannada community database maintained internally.

The book is a narrative of her life by the lady herself which she had narrated to Chitraloka and Jogi. The narrative is put to words by popular journalist and writer Jogi and is being published by Chitraloka. 

The book will be released at 5 pm on Sunday, December 10. The book will be available in all leading book stores from Sunday. It is en experiential story of life in the voice of the great lady. Parvathamma Rajkumar is one of the few women entrepreneurs of Karnataka. She single-handedly built the Vajreshwari Combines. Her life has been a pillar of support for not only the career of Rajkumar but also her sons Shivarajkumar, Raghavendra and Puneeth. Managing the family and the business of the biggest Kannada film stars was not an easy task. The woman who came from a small village and was married when she was just a teenager lived up to the challenge thrown by life.

ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಚಿತ್ರಲೋಕ ಪ್ರಕಾಶನದಿಂದ ಹೊರಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ 3ನೇ ಕೃತಿ. 2006ರಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲ್ಮಿ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟರಿ ಹೊರತಂದಿತ್ತು. ಅದು ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೊತ್ತಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇನ್ನು 2014ರಲ್ಲಿ ಟಚ್ ಸ್ಕ್ರೀನ್ ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಅದು ಉದಯ ಮರಕಿಣಿಯವರ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಲೇಖನಗಳ ಗುಚ್ಛ. ಆ ಕೃತಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ `ನಾನು ಪಾರ್ವತಿ' ಕೃತಿ ಹೊರಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ ಪಾರ್ವತಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್, ಚಿತ್ರಲೋಕ ವೆಬ್‍ಸೈಟ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದ್ದವರು. ಫಿಲಂ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟರಿ ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದವರು. ಚಿತ್ರಲೋಕ ವೀರೇಶ್ ಅವರ ಫೋಟೋ ಎಕ್ಸಿಬಿಷನ್‍ಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದವರು. ಚಿತ್ರಲೋಕದ ಹಲವು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಮೈಲುಗಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವರು. ಈಗ ಅವರದ್ದೇ ಜೀವನದ ಕೃತಿ, ಚಿತ್ರಲೋಕ ಪ್ರಕಾಶನದಿಂದಲೇ ಹೊರಬರುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ವಿಶೇಷ.

ಇಂದು ಸಂಜೆ 5 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಫಿಲಂ ಚೇಂಬರ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸಾ.ರಾ.ಗೋವಿಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶಿವರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಸುದೀಪ್, ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್, ಜಯಮಾಲಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಕನ್ನಡಪ್ರಭ ಮತ್ತು ಸುವರ್ಣ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ಸಂಪಾದಕ ರವಿ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು. 

ಒಂದು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ನಿಮಗಾಗಿ ಕಾದಿದೆ. ಅದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯಾದರೆ, ಈ ಕೃತಿ ಸಾರ್ಥಕವಾದಂತೆ.
