The Regional Censor Officer is in the news for all the wrong reasons. After RCO Natasha Dsouza walked out of the meeting from the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, whatever goodwill was there is also lost.
1. It was the censor officer who wanted to come to the film chamber to sort out the issue of Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu. There is no one else to blame.

2. Walking out of a meeting without even informing anyone was not expected of a Central Government employee. It sends a wrong signal.
3. The protest against Censor Board was made by general public and other film personalities and not the makers of Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu. Censor officer failed to understand this.

4. If the officer did not know Kannada, it was better to understand the meaning from others before deleting or muting them.
5. The officer suggesting the film makers to go to the revising committee after issuing a certificate is absurd. Everyone knows it is not possible once a certificate is issued.
6. By refusing to listen to the requests itself, the problem has been escalated. All that the film industry and film makers wanted was an assurance that future films won't be affected. But instead of listening, walking out infuriated others.
Now the film makers and others have decided to go on a "chaddi" strike in front of the Censor Board.
