The Kannada Film Directors Association has organised a cricket tournament for the Kannada film industry in May this year called 'Sandalwood Super Star League 2016'. The KANFIDA had organised a special press meet to announce the cricket tournament. 120 artistes and technicians are expected to be a part of this cricket tournament.

Meanwhile, the KANFIDA donated a small relief fund to the family of brave soldier Lancienaik Hanumanathappa Koppada in Siachedn. Koppada's mother Basavva, wife Mahadevi and daughter Netra were present on the occasion to receive the cheque.

KANFIDA president M S Ramesh, KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu, Umesh Banakar, K C N Chandrashekhar and others were present at the occasion.
