The Regional Board of Censor Certification chief Natasha D'souza walked out of the Karntaka Film Chamber of Commerce unable to answer the questions that was asked to her. Natasha D'souza had come to the KFCC office on Monday morning to attend a meeting called by KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu. Not only Natasha, the team members of 'Kiragurina Gayyaligalu' had also come to the meeting. The members of the team posed some questions, which the Censor Chief could not answer. So, she left the chamber without answering the questions.

'Kiragurina Gayyaligalu' producer Agni Sridhar who was very much upset about the issue told that he would hold a 'Chaddi' dharna in front of the Censor office on Thursday if the issue is not taken to consideration. Dwarkanath has said he will take a legal action against the Censor board.

Sa Ra Govindu said that the local censor members must be blamed for the whole issue and the local censor members who have watched and given the certificate must resign from their posts and said KFCC will support Kiragurina Gayalligalu Producers in there protest.

The first look of 'Kirugurina Gayyaligalu' being directed by Sumana Kittur has been released on Wednesday. Many posters featuring Shwetha Srivatsav, Sukrutha Wagle, Sonu, Manasa Joshi and others have been released in the internet.

'Kirugurina Gayyaligalu' is being directed by Sumana Kittur and produced by Agni Sridhar under the Megha Movies banner. Earlier, there was news that director Soori may produce this film. However, now Agni Sridhar has taken over the film and is producing it apart from scripting it.

The shooting for the film is complete and the film boasts of ensemble star cast including Shwetha Srivatsav, Sukrutha Wagle, Sonu, Manasa Joshi, Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Ravishankar Gowda, S Narayan, B Jayashree and others. The film is being inspired from the novel of the same name written by Late Poornachandra Tejaswi.

This film should rank among one of the best films to come out of Sandalwood in recent years. The film is set somewhere 30-40 years ago in a village of Karnataka. The stories of Poornachandra Tejaswi must be the most difficult to make into a film in Kannada. His works are so steeped in nativity and word play and imagery that it becomes almost impossible to recreate even single scene. In that background Sumana Kittur's work is brilliant.

The film is not a translation of the Tejaswi's story to film. It is an adaptation that is a lesson for both writers who crib when the story changes to a film script and film directors who copy lock, stock and barrel from other films.

Rather than write about the story, script, dialogues and other things it is suffice to say that this is a film anyone who wants to enjoy a movie should definitely watch. It is not just entertainment that this film packs into 2 hours and 20 minutes. It records a part of Karnataka's culture. 

Without going into specifics like the music is good or the acting of someone is great, this film is one you would need to watch for the whole package. 

Wow for the film and all those associated with it. If as audience we don't support it, shame on us!

Despite many controversies and problems 'Kiragurina Gayyaligalu' directed by Sumana Kittur has completed a 50 day at the box-office and is running successfully across Karnataka. To mark the occasion, Sumana along with her team is travelling to major cities across Karnataka and is thanking the audience for the film's success. Recently the film team was in Mysore and the team held a press meet and thanked the audience for the success.

Actress Manasa Joshi who was last seen in Srinagara Kitty's 'Bahuparak' has joined the team of 'Kirugurina Gayyaligalu' and the actress will be playing a prominent role in the film.

Manasa Joshi joins the bandwagon of artistes including Shwetha Srivatsav, Achyuth Kumar, Kishore, Sharath Lohitashwa, Sukrutha Wagle and others. With most of the star cast being finalised, Suman plans to start shooting for the film in the month of May.

Cameraman Manohar Joshi of 'Simpleaagond Love Story' and music composer Poornachandra Tejasvi are also part of star cast.

Journalist turned director Sumana Kittur who last directed the critically acclaimed 'Edegarike' based on the novel of the same name by Agni Sridhar is all set to make a comeback to direction once again. This time Sumana has selected K P Poornachandra Tejasvi's 'Kirugurina Gayyaligalu' and will be directing the novel with the same name.

Sumana herself has confirmed that she will be directing 'Kirugurina Gayyaligalu' and has also acquired the rights from Tejasvi's wife. Sumana is currently busy with the script work and hopes to launch the film by May this year.

Earlier, there were many attempts to bring Poornachandra Tejasvi's novels on screen, but none of the attempt materialised. Recently Yogaraj Bhatt had said that he would direct Tejasvi's 'Carvalo' with Prakash Rai, Rangayana Raghu and Ananth Nag in prominent roles. However, the film will be delayed as Bhatt is directing Ganesh in a new film.
