Actors Shashikumar and Bhavana have both said that they want to contest the upcoming Assembly election from Chitradurga. While Bhavana wants to contest from Chitradurga town as her mother hails from there, Shashikumar has sought tickets from either Molakalmur or Challakere. Both these are reserved seats. Shashikumar is not new to politics. He is an ex MP from Chitradurga. This time he wants to contest for the MLA seat.

Both these actors want tickets from the Congress party. Shashikumar has said that he has already spoken to chief minister Siddaramaiah about this. Bhavana who is active in politics for years now was also the chairperson of Bal Bhavan. More Sandalwood actors and personalities are planning to try their luck in the Assembly elections in April.

Shashikumar is the latest actor to join JDS just before the elections. Shashikumar was a strong contender for a MLA ticket from the Congress from Chitradurga district. The former Member of Parliament was however shocked after being denied ticket to contest the May 12 elections.

Shashikumar met JDS leader and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda at his residence in Padmanabhanagar and officially joined the party. It is not known if he will contest the upcoming elections. A few days ago actress Amulya joined the JDS along with her family members after her father-in-law was denied a ticket. Shashikumar has been in the same party for nearly two decades and his decision to change parties has come as a surprise. 

Agriculturist Shashikumar has won the 06th edition of 'Big Boss' on Sunday night.

The sixth edition of the show was launched on the 21st of October. A total of 13 participants were in the show. After many tasks and eliminations, Shashikumar and singer Naveen Sajju were in the final round. Of the two, Shashikumar was adjuged the winner by Sudeep.

Shashikumar who is a farmer by profession has won 50 lakhs cash prize along with a trophy. Shashikumar has announced that he will use the prize money for the welfare of the farmers.

No more shooting took place that day. It was pack up and shooting was postponed indefinitely. The next day itself myself and other friends of Shashikumar went to Dharmastala. It was to help him regain his spirits. But there was more shock at Dharmastala.

Nobody identified Shashikumar including Dharmadikari Veerendra Hegde. Once Veerendra Hegde was told that the person standing before him was actor Shashikumar Sri Hegde was shocked. In Dharmastala Shashikumar went for a tulabara and we all came back to Bengaluru after two days.

After this Shashikumar started using writing his name as Sasikumar!

There was another shock for Shashikumar. Director Mudduraj had lost hope on Shashikumar and dropped him from the project replacing him with Kumar Bangarappa. But till now the film Kanna Mucchale has not come to the screen!

But in the Bigg Boss stage Shashikumar said director D Rajendra Babu gave him the opportunity in the movie Habba after the accident. But why Shashikumar hid the real facts?

After Shashikumar was dropped from Kanna Mucchale movie he himself produced a movie cooli raja directed by AR Babu.

It was producer Rehaman who came to his help and started the movie Halappa. When movie shooting was going on in Chitradurga there was a sudden shock to the movie crew. Shashikumar had been given the B Form to contest MP election from Chitradurga against three times MP Mudalagiryappa. What happened during and after the election is history! Shashikumar won the election but for the next five years Chitradurga voters blamed themselves for electing a wrong person!

How I lost cameras worth nearly 1.5 lakh during the election campaign and how Shashikumar consoled me is a completely different story altogether. I will narrate that shortly.

ಅರೆಸ್ಟ್ ಆಗಿರುವ ಶಶಿಕುಮಾರ್ ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕನಾಗಿದ್ದ. ಹಾಫ್ ಮೆಂಟಲ್ ಅನ್ನೋ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದ. ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಲಾಸ್ ಆಯಿತು. ಬೇರೆ ಬಿಸಿನೆಸ್ಸುಗಳೂ ಕೈಕೊಟ್ಟವು. ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಕಿಡ್ನಾಪರ್ ಆಗಿ ಬದಲಾದ. ವಂಚಕನಾದ. ಪ್ರಕರಣ ನಡೆದಿರೋದು ಇಷ್ಟು.

ಒಂದಂತೂ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ. ಶಶಿಕುಮಾರ್ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಿಂದ ದರೋಡೆಯ ದಂಧೆಗೆ ಇಳಿದವನಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಿಗೆ ದರೋಡೆಯ ದಂಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡೇ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿರಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ.. ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆತ ಆರೋಪಿಯಷ್ಟೆ

ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಹೀರೋ ಎಂದೇ ಖ್ಯಾತರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶಶಿಕುಮಾರ್ ಪುತ್ರ ಅಕ್ಷಿತ್, ಮೊಡವೆ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಎಂಟ್ರಿಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ಮುಹೂರ್ತವನ್ನೂ ಅದ್ಧೂರಿಯಾಗಿಯೇ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಿನಿಮಾ, ಅದೇಕೋ ಏನೋ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಅಕ್ಷಿತ್ ಸೀತಾಯಣ ಮೂಲಕ ಎಂಟ್ರಿ ಕೊಡಲು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಿತ್ರದ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಕೂಡಾ ಮುಗಿದಿದೆ.

ವಿಶೇಷವೆಂದರೆ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಕ್ಷಿತ್, ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ತೆಲುಗು ಎರಡೂ ಕಡೆ ಹೀರೋ ಆಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು. ಅಕ್ಷಿತ್ ಎದುರು ಅನ್‍ಹಿತ್ ಭೂಷಣ್ ನಾಯಕಿ.

ತೆಲುಗಿನ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ್ ಆರಿಪಕ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ರೋಹನ್ ಭಾರದ್ವಾಜ್ ಮತ್ತು ಲಲಿತಾ ರಾಜಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರು. ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಮೊಡವೆ ವೇಳೆ ಆದಿತ್ಯನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶಶಿ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಪುತ್ರ, ಈಗ ಹೆಸರು ಬದಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಕ್ಷಿತ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಿತ್ರ ಈಗ ಪೋಸ್ಟ್ ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಷನ್ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

ಶಶಿಕುಮಾರ್ ಪುತ್ರ ಅಕ್ಷಿತ್ ಪಾದಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರೋ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಓ ಮೈ ಲವ್ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಸಾಥ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಓ ಮೈ ಲವ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ `ಏನಾಯ್ತೋ ನಾ ಕಾಣೆ.. ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಉಪ್ಪಿ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಡಾ.ವಿ.ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರೋ ಹಾಡಿಗೆ ಚರಣ್ ರಾಜ್ ಸಂಗೀತ ಇದೆ. ಅನುರಾಧ ಭಟ್, ನಿರಂಜನ್ ಹಾಡಿರೋ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಚಿತ್ರತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಶುಭ ಕೋರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸ್ಮೈಲ್ ಶ್ರೀನು ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಓ ಮೈ ಲವ್ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಮುಗಿಸಿದೆ. ನಾನು ಉಪ್ಪಿ ಸರ್ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿ. ನನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಅವರಿಂದಲೇ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಆಸೆಯಿತ್ತು. ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಕಬ್ಜ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣದ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು ಎಂದು ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿರೋದು ಅಕ್ಷಿತ್.
