Actor Bullet Prakash has bought the remake rights of Tamil film 'Poojai' starring Vishal and Shruthi Hariharan in prominent roles. Bullet Prakash intends to remake the film to Kannada and the film is likely to start next year.

Recently there was news that Darshan has given dates to Bullet Prakash and the latter will be producing a film with Darshan in lead role. However, Bullet Prakash in a recent interview had said that as Darshan in busy, he will think about producing the film only after getting his call sheet.

Meanwhile, Bullet Prakash has silently acquired the remake rights of Tamil film 'Poojai'. The film was produced by Dhanush himself and Bullet has brought the rights from him. With the remake rights in hand, will Bullet Prakash produce the film with Darshan in lead role is yet to be seen in the coming days.

The Kannada and Tamil film industries have joined hands to fight the digital service providers against discriminatory pricing. There will be no screening of new films in Karnataka till the issue is resolved. In Tamil Nadu the industry has gone a step further and from March 16 there will be no film related activities including screening, shooting and promotional press meets. DSPs UFO and Qube have been told that no new Kannada and Tamil films will be given to them for transferring to the theatres. 

There are three points on which there is a problem now. One the rates. Kannada industry is demanding reduction of the rates by 50 per cent. The DSPs are agreeing to only 22 percent reduction. The DSPs have also initiated cases against theatres. The film industries have demanded that all these cases have to be withdrawn. The theatres are worth many crores but are held to ransom by providing them with an projector and server worth Rs 4-5 lakhs and making them sign an unequal agreement preventing them from moving to cheaper alternatives and then charging producers exorbitant prices. The third demand is to give freedom to theatres to opt for any DSP they want. As of now a theatre can have only one set of server and projector. But there are several available which are cheaper. The industries are demanding that there should be no monopoly of any one group. As of now UFO and Qube are the two dominant DSPs in Karnataka. Now both of them are on the verge of merging creating a single monopoly. 

Actor producer Vishal represented Tamil film industry in the meeting with KFCC in Bengaluru today. He was very specific and and said that there will be no film activity whatsoever from March 16. This will go on till the DSPs agree to the demands. The two industries have also said that they will henceforth decide on the future course of action together and will keep each other in the loop about any development. The Telugu film industry which was part of the protest has alone agreed to the proposal of UFO and stopped the protest. The Kannada and Tamil industries have therefore closed ranks. 

There will be no screening of new films of any language in Karnataka. It is not limited to Kannada and Tamil which are protesting. New Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and English films will also not be screened. Sa Ra Govindu requested all producers and exhibitors to cooperate in the matter. He said exhibitors from across Karnataka including north Karnataka exhibitors under Odugouder and those in Mangaluru will be asked to cooperate unitedly in the issue so that all producers and film makers will benefit. 

The songs of Harsha starrer 'Raghuveera' is all set to be released today evening at Town Hall in Bangalore. Shivarajakumar and Tamil actor Vishal will be coming over as chief guests and will be releasing the songs of the film.

'Raghuveera' is based on a real incident which happened few years ago. Based on the event, Surya Satish has written the screenplay, dialogues and lyrics apart from directing the film. The film is produced by Dhenu Achchappa.

Sadhu Kokila's brother Layendra has composed the music for the film.

It was a peasant surprise for Kannada producer K Manju. Tamil actor-producer Vishal who had come to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce for a meeting on Saturday saw Manju for the first time there and identified an actor in him. 

Vishal approached Manju and asked him if he had acted before and if he wished to act in films. Manju has produced over 40 films in Kannada and acted in guest roles in quite a few. He has not done a full fledged character role though. Vishal's enquiry floored him. 

Vishal did not know about Manju but just looking at him for the first time he was convinced that Manju would make a good actor. He asked if Manju would consider acting in a Tamil film if a role was offered to him. Manju was all smiles and charmed over with the offer.

ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಹೊಣೆ ನನ್ನದು ಎಂದು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ತಮಿಳು ನಟ ವಿಶಾಲ್. ಒಂದು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಪುನೀತ್ ಒಬ್ಬರೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ನನಗವರು ಬಹಳ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಪರಿಚಯ. ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಹೊಣೆ ನನ್ನದು ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ 

ತಮಿಳು ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ನಟರ ಕಾರುಬಾರು ದೊಡ್ಡದು. ನಟರನ್ನು ದೇವರಂತೆಯೇ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ನಟರು ಈಗ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕಾರದ ಬಿಸಿ ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಧನುಷ್, ವಿಶಾಲ್, ಸಿಂಬು, ಅಥರ್ವ ಅವರಂತಹ ನಟರು. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ನಟರಿಗೆ ರೆಡ್ ಕಾರ್ಡ್ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮಿಳು ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರ ಮಂಡಳಿಯು ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವೊಂದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಅರ್ಥ  ಯಾವುದೇ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರು ಈ ಹೀರೋಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಇನ್ನುಮುಂದೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಾಡುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಳೆದ  13ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವರದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರದಿಂದಾಗಿ  ನಟರು  ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡುವವರೆಗೂ ಯಾವುದೇ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇನ್ನೊಂದರ್ಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರನ್ನು ಬ್ಯಾನ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು.

ಈ ನಾಲ್ವರು ಕಲಾವಿದರು ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಂದ ಹಣ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಆರೋಪ ಕೇಳಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ.  ಕೆಲವು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಚೆನ್ನೈನ ಅಣ್ಣಾಸಾಲೈನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರ  ಹಾಗೂ ಕಲಾವಿದರ  ಸಂಘದ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರು  ಈ ನಾಲ್ವರು ನಟರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆರೋಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಯಾವ್ಯಾವ ನಟರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯ ಆರೋಪಗಳಿವೆ ಅನ್ನೋದನ್ನ ನೋಡೋದಾದ್ರೆ..

ನಟ ಸಿಂಬು : ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಜಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣವನ್ನ ಯಾವಾಗ ಎಂದರೆ ಆವಾಗ ಪ್ಯಾಕಪ್ ಮಾಡಿಸ್ತಾರೆ.

ಧನುಷ್ : ತಮ್ಮ ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ

ವಿಶಾಲ್ : ತಮಿಳು ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಹಣವನ್ನು ದುರ್ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಅಂಕಿ-ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸಿಲ್ಲ.

ಅಥರ್ವ : ಇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ಲಾನ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಕೆ ಆಗಲ್ಲ. ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣ, ಚಿತ್ರದ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಇವರ ಬೇಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ದುಬಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ರಾಕಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಯಶ್ ಅಭಿನಯದ ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್‍ನ್ನು ತಮಿಳುನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಮಾಡಲು ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದಿರೋದು ತಮಿಳು ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ವಿಶಾಲ್. ಅವರು ಟಾಲಿವುಡ್‍ನ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ನಟರೂ ಹೌದು. ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರೂ ಹೌದು, ವಿತರಕರೂ ಹೌದು. ಇಷ್ಟಿದ್ದರೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರ ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ರಿಲೀಸ್‍ಗೆ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲೊದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವೂ ಇದೆ.

ನಿಮಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನೈನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ವಿಕೋಪ ನೆನಪಿದೆ ತಾನೇ..ಆಗ ಇಡೀ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗ ಚೆನ್ನೈ ಜನತೆಯ ನೆರವಿಗೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಿಂದಲೂ ನೆರವು ಹೋಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಗ ಚೆನ್ನೈಗೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಿಂದ ತಲುಪಿದ ಮೊದಲ ನೆರವಿನ ಟ್ರಕ್ ಯಶ್ ಅವರದ್ದಂತೆ. ಆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೆಜಿಎಫ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ವಿಶಾಲ್.
