Shivarajkumar starrer 'Shivalinga' directed by senior director P Vasu was censored on Monday with a 'U/A' certificate. Shivarajkumar plays a CID officer in this movie. While, Vedika plays Shivanna's heroine, actress Urvashi plays the mother to him for the very first time. Eradane Madhuve fame Suresh is the producer. P K H Doss is the cameraman and V Harikrishna has composed the songs for the film.

With censor certificate in hand, it has to be seen whether 'Shivalinga' gets released first or 'Killing Veerappan'.

Shivalinga is a complete entertainer. It is basically a murder mystery. But there are loads of comedy, suspense and horror packed in the 151 minutes. P Vasu packages the film as an entertainment bonanza. An engrossing storyline combined with great acting and edge-of-the seat suspense makes Shivalinga a must watch.

The film starts with a murder on a train. The man is a Muslim and he is engaged to be married to a Hindu girl. The case is closed as a suicide but the girl forces it to be reinvestigated. Shiva, a CID officer steps in. Everyone becomes a suspect in the case. Strangely, Shiva's new wife also gets involved in the case. But what does she have to do with it? The ghost of the dead man also comes back seeking to know who killed him and why. It is a great mix of fun, horror and suspense from then on. How Shiva manages to find the real culprit and save his wife from the ghost forms the rest of the story.

Apart from the gripping story and narration what the film promises and delivers is excellent acting by the actors including Shivanna, Vedhika, Sadhu Kokila, Shakti P Vasu, Urvashi, Vinaya Prasad, Avinash and others. PKH Das has done some superb photography and manages to give the film a fantastic look. Music by Harikrishna is also pleasing and is a perfect foil to the rest of the film which is full of suspense. 

This film also showcases Shivanna's talent to the fullest extent. It is not only in commercial elements like fighting and dancing but also in showing his performance, the film has become a showcase for him. He makes it look so real. Vedhika as the terrified wife and also as the terrifying possessed woman is awesome. This film is for everyone to enjoy. Great show by director P Vasu.

Shivarajakumar starrer 'Shivalinga' is all set to be released on the 12th of February in Santhosh and other theaters across Karnataka. 'Shivalinga' is being written and directed by veteran director P Vasu and Suresh of 'Govindaya Namaha' and others films has produced the film under his banner.

The music of the film is composed by V Harikrishna, while P K H Doss is the cameraman.

Vedika plays the female lead opposite Shivarajakumar in the film and apart from Shivarajakumar and Vedika, Sadhu Kokila plays prominent role in the film.

ನಟಿ ವೇದಿಕಾ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸಬರೇನಲ್ಲ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಶಿವರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ದರ್ಶನ್, ಗಣೇಶ್‍ರಂತಹ ಸ್ಟಾರ್‍ಗಳ ನಟಿಸಿರುವ ನಟಿ. ಬ್ಯುಸಿ ನಟಿಯೂ ಹೌದು. ಈ ವೇದಿಕಾ ನಟಿಸಿರುವ ಹೊಸ ಚಿತ್ರ ಗೌಡ್ರು ಹೋಟೆಲ್. ಆ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಕುಮಾರ್‍ಗೆ, ನಮ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಹೀರೋಯಿನ್ ವೇದಿಕಾ ತುಂಬಾ ಒಳ್ಳೇವ್ರು ಎನಿಸಿ ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರ ಬಳಿ ಕಾರಣಗಳೂ ಇವೆ. ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಾಯಾಕ ರಚನ್, ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗಕ್ಕೇ ಹೊಸಬ. ಆತನ ಜೊತೆ ವರ್ಕ್‍ಶಾಪ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದಾಗ, ಯಾವುದೇ ತಕರಾರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ವರ್ಕ್‍ಶಾಪ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರಂತೆ ವೇದಿಕಾ. ಇನ್ನು ಎರಡನೆಯದ್ದು, ಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಶೂನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿರಳೆಯಿದ್ದರೂ, ಗಲಾಟೆ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. 3ನೆಯದ್ದು ಸ್ವಿಮ್ಮಿಂಗ್ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಜಾಕೆಟ್‍ನ ಬಟನ್ ಕಿತ್ತುಹೋಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು, ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿದ  ನಂತರ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ವೇದಿಕಾ ಅವರ ಈ ವರ್ತನೆ, ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಇಂಥದ್ದಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲ ಖುಷಿಯಾಗ್ತಾರೇನ್ರಿ..ಸುಮ್ ಸುಮ್ನೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಡಿ ಅಂಥಾ ನಗಬೇಡಿ. ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಬಾರಿ ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ಯಾಕಪ್ ಆದ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳಿವೆ. ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಖುಷಿಗೆ ಇದೇ ಕಾರಣ.

ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರ ಹೊಸ ಚಿತ್ರ ಹೋಮ್ ಮಿನಿಸ್ಟರ್‍ಗೆ ನಾಯಕಿಯಾಗಿ ವೇದಿಕಾ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂಗಮ, ಶಿವಲಿಂಗ ನಂತರ ವೇದಿಕಾ ನಟಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಚಿತ್ರ ಹೋಮ್ ಮಿನಿಸ್ಟರ್. 

ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಯಾರು ಎಂಬುದು ಕೂಡಾ ಸಸ್ಪೆನ್ಸ್ ಆಗಿಯೇ ಇತ್ತು. ಚಿತ್ರದ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಶ್ರೀಹರಿ. ಶ್ರೀಹರಿ, ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸಬರಾದರೂ, ತೆಲುಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಕಥೆಗಾರ. ಮಹೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು ನಟಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ `ಭರತ್ ಆನೆ ನೇನು' ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕಥೆ ಇವರದ್ದೇ. ಮಹೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಅವರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಆಗಿ ಫಿಕ್ಸ್ ಆಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಹರಿ, ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಕ್ಕಿಳಿದಿದ್ಧಾರೆ.

ಚಿತ್ರದ ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಮಹಮದ್ ಗಿಬ್ರಾನ್. ಕಮಲ್ ಹಾಸನ್ ಅವರ ವಿಶ್ವರೂಪಂ-2 ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಗಿತ ನೀಡಿರುವ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ. ಸದ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣ ಶುರುವಾಗಲಿದೆ.
