With a high budget film like Darshan starrer 'Jaggu Dada' releasing many of the makers are now waiting to release their films in the coming weeks. This week three films are getting released, while the 24th of June witness R Chandru's 'Lakshmana', Rahul's 'Jigar Thanda', Manish's 'Naani', Karthik's 'Akshathe' getting released.

Vinay Rajakumar's second film 'Run Antony' will be releasing in the first week of July followed by films like Shivarajakumar's 'Kabira', Sudeep's 'Kotigobba 2' and other films.

Of these films, 'Lakshmana', 'Jigar Thanda',  'Run Antony', 'Kabira', 'Kotigobba 2' and others have created a lot of hype and much expectations are pinned on these films.

Veteran actor Devaraj has joined the cast of Run Anthony, the second film of Vinay Rajkumar. Devaraj participated in the shooting from a few days ago and from the looks of the few photos that have been released of the shooting it looks like he plays an investigator.

But it is all speculation as of now. It is the home production of the Rajkumar family under the Vajreshwari Combines and directed by first time director Raghu Shastri. Raghu was an assistant to Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap. Since the shooting of the film began a few weeks ago, the posters of the film have been in big news. Every few days a new poster which had the class of Hollywood film posters was released and it has kept the audience hooked in anticipation about the film. 

Veteran producer Parvathamma Rajakumar on Monday evening released the songs of Vinay Rajakumar starrer Run Antony at the PVR Theater Complex in Orion Mall in Bangalore.

Music composer Manikanth Kadri has composed the music for the film and Shivarajakumar, Puneeth Rajakumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Rockline Venkatesh, Jayanth Kaikini were present during the audio launch of the film.

The songs of Vinay Rajakumar starrer 'Run Antony' is all set to be released on Monday at the PVR Auditorium in Orion Mall. The songs of the film is composed by Manikanth Kadri. Run Anthony was launched in the month of December and if everything had gone right, then the film should have been released on Dr Rajakumar's birthday.

However, the due to various reasons the release was delayed and now the film is scheduled for a June release. 'Run Anthony' is produced by Parvathamma Rajakumar along with Raghavendra Rajakumar and Guru Rajakumar. Debutante Raghu Shastry has directed the film, apart from scripting it. Vinay Rajakumar's second film 'Run Anthony' being directed by debutante director Raghu Shastry was launched at Kanteerava Studio on Monday. The film launch was a star studded function with many actors including Shivarajakumar, Puneeth Rajakumar and others present at the occasion. Shivarajakumar sounded the clap for the first shot hereby giving a green signal for the film. Parvathamma Rajakumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Rockline Venkatesh and others were present at the occasion.

Vinay Rajakumar plays a prominent role in the film, while Ruksar and Sushmita have been roped in as the heroines. Manohar Joshi is the cameraman, while Manikanth Kadri is the music director.

This is the second film of Vinay Rajkumar after Siddartha. This is a completely different genre. Though it also has a romantic angle, basically Run Anthony is a suspense thriller. From the very first scene, the film keeps you on the edge with its suspense. Then the film turns into two romantic tracks and then becomes a chase movie with the lead actor running from the cops to prove his innocence. With every scene the film gains momentum and increases its speed and suspense quotient. It has unexpected twists and turns which cannot be predicted. 

Vinay has improved tremendously as an actor. There are two heroines in the film and they are integral to the story even though in action movies, actresses usually have little to do. In Run Anthony, it is different. The director has managed to create a space for female characters also. Devaraj is the special cop who is trying to crack the case and catch Anthony. Does he succeed? Is Anthony really a culprit? Who is the mastermind behind this strange situation he finds himself in? These things can be enjoyed on the screen. 

The music of the film is soothing. The photography is another good aspect of the film. With good acting and good technial work, Run Anthony will be among the new kind of films emerging out of Sandalwood. The film stands apart in its treatment of the subject and can be considered as one of the few films in the genre of full-length thrillers.

There will be two heroines in the film and the heroines are yet to be finalised.

Surprising but true. For the last two weeks, there have been speculation and claims about the 100th Kannada film releasing this year. Putting all speculation to rest, Run Antony the second film of Vinay Rajkumar has bagged the distinction.

Usually, the 100th Kannada film in the last few years released during October and there was not much of celebrations about it. But this year has been special. In June-July itself during the half year, the 100th Kannada film of the year is releasing. It is for this reason that Run Antony becomes special. All the best to Sandalwood shall we say!

The team of Vinay Rajakumar starrer 'Run Antony' had organised a 'Swachcha Bharatha' campaign on the death anniversary of Dr Rajakumar. During the death anniversary of Dr Rajakumar, his son Raghavendra Rajakumar had announced that the team of 'Run Antony' will be organising a 'Swachcha Bharatha' campaign in memory of the late actor.

Likewise, the team of the film including Vinay Rajakumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar and others went to a street in Yeshwanthpur and held cleanliness drive there.

The trailer of Run Antony starring Vinay Rajkumar will be screened for the first time during the release of Puneeth Rajkumar's Chakravyuha on Friday. The trailer is 41 seconds long and got the Censor certificate on April 25.

Run Antony is Vinay's second film after Siddhartha. The film is directed by new director Raghu Shastri. R The King by Prem was to be the second film for Vinay, but it has been put on the back burner for now. Run Antony is also a home production of the Rajkumar family under Vajreshwari Combines.
