In a strange way Sandalwood star Sudeep had to face problem due to the ongoing income tax raids on energy minister DK Shivakumar. Apart from various offices and homes of Shivakumar the IT raid is also taking place in Eagelton Resorts where he was taking care of the Gujarat Congress MLAs there.

Sudeep is acting in a guest role in Raju Kannada Medium. Shooting for the film was scheduled for today at the resort. Sudeep was already in the resort. When the film crew arrived for shooting this morning they were not allowed inside. They were allowed after nearly 30 minutes. It is not known if the shooting is taking place after that.

Sudeep has requested journalists and his fans as well not to compare him or his work with those of Vishnuvardhan. An online poll was conducted to find out the best title song in the Kotigobba film series. The title song of Kotigobba 3 starring Sudeep was released earlier this week and has become a sensation with 5 million views in a little over three days. Sudeep also starred in Kotigobba 2 a few years ago. The Kotigobba title in Sandalwood started with the original film 20 years ago starring the late superstar Vishnuvardhan. When the poll was conducted to seek opinion of fans on the best title song among the three films, Sudeep responded in a way that made fans appreciate him. 

"Kotigobba started wth Appaji Vishnu sir and  nothing can replace what started with him.

With due respect request you and everyone not to have such polls wher our elders and pillars of our industry are pulled in.

My films and me are too small to be even compared," Sudeep responded.  This immediately drew praise from his fans who pointed out that his humbleness and respect towards Vishnuvardhan made them appreciate him more.

A fake tweet attributed to Sudeep has created a controversy and led to the actor contemplating legal action. The fake tweet said "Good morning guys. Happy to hear Raajakumara has broken all previous records of Baahubali and Hebbuli in Karnataka. Congrats to Puneeth and Raajkumara team". However it was a fake tweet created by an yet unidentified person(s).

Reacting to this Sudeep has said that he will file a complaint against the fake tweet in his name. He has said that today the fake tweet was a wish made to Puneeth but what happenes if the fake tweet creates trouble in the future. That is the reason he will file a complaint.

The title video track of Hebbuli that was launched on YouTube at 7 pm today has been removed by director Krishna now. The trailer had notched up nearly 20,000 views within hours of launch. The track will now be uploaded on Monday morning on the official Zee Music YouTube channel. Krishna has said that unofficial persons have started uploading it leading to problems. So to have just one platform it will be released by Zee tomorrow. 

"Sorry frnds hebbuli title track will be on officially ZEE music, Tom morning coz lots of people hav uploaded unofficially 2 have 1 platform" he has said. But fans are upset and questioned him about the poor planning.

They booked all the tickets for the 8 am show. Chirag is into event management and Vinay is his cousin. Family and friends who are also big fans of Sudeep will watch this show. Kannada films rarely get a screening at the IMAX screens but Hebbuli is screening both the IMAX screens in Koramangala and Whitefield.

Sudeep starrer 'Hebbuli' which was released last week has not only got a huge opening, but also recorded a huge collections at the box-office. However, Sudeep doesn't divulge any details about the collections of the film.

Sudeep recently said that, he is not interested in announcing collection details. 'First of all, collections are announced because of two reasons. The first thing is we are not trying to prove anything here and the second thing is we are not here to convince everybody. So, no need to announce the collections. I am happy, that the producers are happy' says Sudeep.

Sudeep has also that films are not made to prove how big the collections are. It's made to entertain.

The first look of Shivarajakumar-Sudeep starrer 'The Villain' will be released on the 1st of April. Prem has announced that the first look will be released on that day, but has not revealed about how and where the first look will be released.

Recently the teaser shooting for 'The Villain' was held separately. In the first session only Shivarajakumar participated in the teaser shoot and in the second session Sudeep participated. Prem did not reveal the looks of both the stars and intended to release the first look of the stars only after the shoot of both.

'The Villain' is being directed by Prem after a six year gap. The film is being produced by C R Manohar and Arjun Janya is the music composer. Shruthi Hariharan is the heroine for Shivarajakumar. The heroine for Sudeep is yet to be finalised.

The countdown for Sudeep's birthday has already begun and this time there will be no releases or big birthday celebrations from the actor. Instead a first look, teaser and a motion poster from three of his films are all set to be released on that day.

Sudeep is currently acting in 'The Villain' and is seen in a guest role in 'Raju Kannada Medium'. The teams of both the films are planning to encash this occasion and 'The Villain' director Prem has announced that he will be releasing the motion poster of the film on Sudeep's birthday on September 02nd. 'Raju Kannada Medium' producer K Suresh has announced that a new teaser of the film featuring Sudeep will be released on the same day.

Apart from this, S Krishna who is producing and directing a film with Sudeep is all set to release the first look from his new film. The photo shoot of the film has already completed in Bangkok and Krishna will be releasing the first look on Sudeep's birthday.

The fourth edition of the 'Big Boss' is all set to be launched in the second week of October.

Earlier, Colors Kannada in which the programme is being aired had announced that 'Big Boss 4' will be launched soon, but not had divulged any details about when the programme is likely to be launched. Now sources say, the programme is being aired in the second week of October.

Right now the channel is tight lipped about the contestants who are participating in the show. More details about 'Big Boss 4' are yet awaited.

The fourth edition of of 'Big Boss' is all set to be launched in the month of October. The hugely popular reality programme will be aired in the Colors Kannada or Colors Super from next month from night 9 to 10.

Sudeep who has hosted the show in the last three seasons, will be hosting the show this time also and recently participated in the promo shoot of the programme. The promo was officially launched on Thursday by the channel.

Like last year, the shooting for the reality programme will be held at a specially constructed house at the Innovative Film City.

Director Gadda Viji is out of the tele-serial Vaarasdara. Sources said that the director of films like + and Dyavre who made his small screen debut with Vaarasdara was at the helm for only 20 episodes.

The reason for this development is not known but sources said that another director has taken over already. The serial is produced by Sudeep's Kichcha Creations and it is the first time the production house has ventured into making serials.

Actress Amala Paul has been selected as the heroine for Sudeep in his next venture 'Hebbuli'. The songs of the Sudeep starrer 'Hebbuli' composed by Arjun Janya is all set to be released in a big function at Davanagere on the 25th of December.

'Hebbuli' is being produced jointly by Raghunath from SRV Producions in association with Umapathy under the banner Umapathy films. Movie is directed by cinematographer turned director S Krishna. S Krishna himself has written the story and screenplay of the film. Karunakar is the cameraman.
