Kiccha Sudeep -Upendra Starrer Most anticipated Kabza Movie's Trailer will Be Released on September 18th on the occasion of Upendra's Birthday. Speaking to Chitraloka, director R Chandru has confirmed the news. The trailer will be released in Telugu, Tamil. Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi languages.

Kabza' is written and directed by R Chandru and this time Chandru is planning to release the film in 7 languages simultaneously.

Kannada multi-starrer Kabzaa has grossed around Rs.26 crores across India on the first day of release on Friday, March 17. Out of this, the Kannada version has grossed Rs.11 crore in Karnataka alone. Trade sources in the film industry arrived at this figure and said that despite not obtaining any over-hype, the film has managed to get a very good opening at the box office.

On Friday, the first, second and late night shows picked up pace compared to the morning and matinee shows. The film was released in over 400 screens across Karnataka. Trade analysts Chitraloka spoke to say that Saturday and Sunday would see better business for the film and even advance bookings point towards this trend.

The film was released to coincide with the birthday of Puneeth Rajkumar and stars Upendra in the lead with Sudeep and Shiva Rajkumar in important roles. With the summer holidays and Ugadi festival coming up, the big-budget action extravaganza is likely to become the first Rs.100 crore grosser from Kannada in 2023. Will it achieve the feat within one week or wait for the second weekend to shore up grosses is to be seen. Trade expects the film to pick up pace on Saturday and Sunday while the weekdays are expected to be normal.

The film is produced by Sri Siddeshwara Enterprises of R Chandru who is also the writer and director of the film. This is Chandru’s biggest-budget film in his career till date. The film boasts of some of the most spectacular action sequences seen on Kannada screen and a stylish and grand making winning the accolades of the public who have watched it. Critics have praised the film’s grandeur, rich sets and design. 

Upendra starrer 'Kalpana 2', which is a sequel to his earlier film Kalpana is all set to be released in the month of July. Meanwhile, the songs of the film was released on Thursday night.

Actor-producer K M Rajendra is the producer of the film, while Anantharaju who is known for remakes is directing the film. H C Srinivas is only presenting the film. The film is expected to go on floors soon

Uppi's latest is the sequel to his earlier horror-comedy Kalpana. This is also the remake of the Tamil film Kanchana 2. The film is once again about a hero who is very very scared of ghosts. He fears at the very mention of the name. But he is the one who gets caught up with the problem of ghosts. Then it is a fun ride with lots of horror and scary situations and images to enjoy.

Upendra is in a double role. The first one is of Raghava a cameraman in a TV channel called Green. When the TV team goes to shoot a horror programme, Raghava is called for the job. Despite his fear of ghosts he goes because he is in love with the serial's director. There the crew face all kinds of trouble from a ghost. But just when they seem to have escaped, Avantika Shetty is possessed by the ghost. Then Upendra is also possessed by another ghost.

The two ghosts were in love in their previous life. In the second half the story of ghosts are revealed. Upendra is now Jade Shiva and Priyamani is his lover. How they were tricked and killed is the flashback. They decide to take revenge while in the bodies of Raghava and the TV director. But the villains from the past are also trying to get rid of the ghosts. Who will win goes on till the end.

The new film of Upendra, Kanneshwara has a new addition. Komal Kumar has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. Komal has been doing only lead roles in the last few years.

The role in Kanneshwara is very important and therefore Komal had no problem in accepting it, sources said. One more top actor is likely to become part of the film sources said. Ravichandran or Sarath Kumar could be joining the team. Shooting for the film started on Thursday.

Dialogue writer turned director Manju Mandavya directing a film for Upendra has been making rounds for the last four years. Now finally, the film was officially announced on Friday on the occasion of Upendra's birthday.

The film is said to be a PAN India film with a budget of 100 crores. Chandrashekhar of Nimishamba Films who had earlier produced films like 'Annayya', 'Bombat' and others is producing the film.

Manju Mandavya had announced that he will be directing the 50th film of Upendra. However, the film did not take off due to various reasons. Now Manju has written another script for Upendra and the film is likely to go on floors in 2021.

Sudeep Completes Mukunda Murari

The much awaited multistarrer Mukunda Murari is here and the film turns out to be not just entertaining and fun as promised but also has a deep and profound message for the society. Though it is a serious subject in the undercurrent the story itself has a fun element told in an impassioned but fun style.

The film is about an atheist who files a case against Gods because the insurance company is not paying him insurance because his shop was destroyed in an earthquake. Since the earthquake is not man made but made by God, he cannot get insurance. This impossible case is the crux of the story and Mukunda faces lots of trouble from priests of all religions for his case. Another impossible thing happens as God himself comes to the rescue of Mukunda. 

This plot has lots of fun. Be it situations, incidents or dialogues, there is fun in everything. Apart from that there is a critique of the organised religions and how they have forsaken humanism for the sake of ritualistic religious practices.  But it does not hurt anybody's religious sentiments but only strengthens realistic attitude and love for every human being. Unlike many films which become philosophical and make no sense to the common man, Mukunda Murari is seriously funny while tackling a serious subject. 

It is a role tailor-made for Upendra. And his mannerisms and dialogue delivery makes it so believable. It reminds of Upendra from A,  Upendra and Rakta Kanneru. It is a brilliant performance from him. 

Sudeep is in an extended guest role as Krishna Murari. He looks the part always wearing a smile. This is a role that may well be among those remembered in his entire career as a landmark. Together Upendra and Sudeep make for a deadly combination. 

On the technical front the camera work is awesome. There aren't many songs but those that are are very apt. Thankfully there are no duets or item songs.

Mukunda Murari is one of the best films of the year and a very good story which has a message for the society. It is one of those rare films that will be entertaining for all age groups. Don't dare to miss it.

The trailer of Priyanka Upendra and Yuvina starrer Mummy - Save Me was released by actress Tara at the Cinepolis in Bangalore on Thursday night. Actor-director Upendra came late for the trailer release, while actors K S Sridhar, Madhusudhan, Priyanka, Sandeep,producer Ravi Kumar, music composer Ajaneesh Lokanath and others were present at the occasion.

Priyanka plays the role of a seven month old pregnant and apart from Priyanka, Yuvina who played a prominent role in Arjun Sarja's 'Abhimanyu' is seen in another important role. The film is being written and directed by Lohith.

Actor Murali requested Upendra to direct a film for him and he is eagerly waiting to act in a film to be directed by Upendra.

Murali was recently talking after the release of the hero introduction teaser of Niranjan's new film 'Superstar'. Niranjan is Upendra's nephew and this is his first solo film as a hero.

'I have been a great fan of Upendra from childhood and have watched all his directorial films. During my college days, I have watched 'A' and 'Upendra' sitting in Gandhi class. The experience of watching the film in Gandhi Class is very unique. My ambition is to act in a film to be directed by Upendra and I request him to direct a film for me' said Murali.

Well known director Naganna is all set to direct Upendra in a new film next year. Naganna had earlier directed Upendra in 'Kutumba', 'Gokarna', 'Gowramma' and 'Dubai Babu'. After a gap of 11 years, the two are associating for a film once again.

The new film is written by G K Bharavi and has a historical storyline. The film is set in the 15th century and Upendra's role in the film is not yet revealed. There are two heroines for Upendra in this film and the film will be made in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages.

The film is being produced by producer Jagannath's son. Jagannath had earlier produced Upendra starrer 'A'. Now his son is producing a film for Upendra. Hamsalekha is the music director. The film is all set to go on floors, once after Upendra finishes 'Kabza' next year.

If everything had gone right, then Bollywood actor Nana Patekar is all set to act in Upendra's new film 'Kabza' to be directed and produced by R Chandru.

One of the highlights of the film is, Chandru has roped in seven artistes who are known for villainous roles in different languages. Nana Patel, Prakash Rai, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaprakash Reddy, Pradeep Rawath, Manoj Bajpayee and Samudrakani will be acting in the film opposite Upendra.

The shooting for the film will start from November 15th and will continue in Mumbai, Kolkatta, Chennai, Hyderabad and other places. The photo shoot of the film will be held on the 10th of November. 

After searching for many heroines, director Nandakishore has zeroed in actress Nikitha to play Upendra's wife in a new film which is the remake of Hindi hit 'Oh My God'. Nikitha and Upendra had earlier acted together in 'Dubai Babu'.
