The film starring legendary Sandalwood music composer GK Venkatesh's grandson Prithvi has finally got a title. The film directed by Preetham Gubbi is called Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi. The first schedule of shooting for the film was completed in Ooty on Sunday.

The film also stars Prakash Rai and Madhoo. Rai was also seen in last week's Darshan's film Airavatha as the villain. In this film he plays a bike riding coach. The film is about bike racing.

The release of Preetham Gubbi's new film 'Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi' has been postponed a couple of times due to various reasons. Now the film is all set to release on the 23rd of December finally.

Prithvi is making his debut as a hero in this film. Prithvi is the grand son of late music director G K Venkatesh. Prithvi is an engineering graduate and is trained in acting, stunts and dancing. Prithvi plays a bike racer in this film. Malavika Mohnan is the heroine.

Prakash Rai and Madhu plays prominent roles in this film along with Achyuth Kumar, Sadhu Kokila, Achyuth Kumar, Rangayana Raghu and others. V Harikrishna is the music director while Preetha is in charge of camera.

One of the most awaited film starring newcomers this year, Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi will hit theatres across Karnataka tomorrow. In a significant number for a newcomer's film, it is being released in 125 theatres. NMV stars the grandson of legendary music director GK Venkatesh.

The heroine, Malavika Mohanan is also making her Kannada debut. She is the daugher of cinematographer KU Mohanan. The film directed by Preetham Gubbi is the first Indian film with motocross sport as the theme. Many real-life motocross experts have done stunts in the film.

Others in the cast include, Prakash Rai, Madhubala, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila and Achyuth Kumar.

Newcomer Prithvi, the grandson of the great music composer GK Venkatesh has made a stunning debut with Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi. The film directed by Preetham Gubbi is a perfect launch vehicle for any new actor. Prithvi has grabbed it with both hands and made the most of it. The film is a love story basically but also an action thriller with motocross being the background of a film in India for the first time. It is also a family drama that uses the talents of senior actors Prakash Rai and Madhubala. Malayalam actress Malavika who makes her debut in the film has also done a good job. With nice songs, beautiful shooting locations, good acting and stunts, Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi is a perfect entertainer.

The film is about Munna, a youngster who always escapes from exams. Both his parents know about this but their love for him and freedom they give him to live his dream is told in a family setting that is delicately handled. Munna's love is for racing. He loses a race to help the girl he loves get her brother back. From there starts his biggest journey to help his girlfriend get back her family united. There are many challenges on the way and how Munna faces them and manages to achieve his goal forms the rest of the story. 

Harikrishna's music is a big strength to the film apart from Preetha Jayaraman's photography. Not surprisingly, Prithvi is already being referred to as 'Bro Prithvi' due to the popularity of one of the songs. The song written by Yograj Bhat with Harikrishna's music and voice has become a sensation. All the songs in the film are very well picturised. 

The acting by Prithvi is appreciable and he can make it big in Sandalwood if he chooses good films further. The other actors like Prakash Rai, Madhubala, Sadhu Kokila, Achyuhta and others give a good supporting role in the film. Malavika is also lively and makes a good pairing with Prithvi.

The songs of 'Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi' composed by V Harikrishna was released in a grand style in Bangalore on Sunday. 'Naanu Mattu Varalaksmi' is written and directed by Preetham Gubbi. The film which revolves around a love story of a bike racer is produced by Manjunath.

'Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi' stars Prithvi, grandson of well known music composer G K Venkatesh along with Malavika Mohanan, Prakash Rai, Madhubala and others in prominent roles.

The film which is in the post-production stage is all set to be released by Jayanna Films

Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi, the first Kannada film to be based on bike racing will start its final schedule of shooting on November 23. The film stars the grandson of late music composer GK Venkatesh, Prithvi in his debut film. The film also stars Prakash Rai as a bike racer.

The director of the film Preetham Gubbi had given a break to the shooting to concentrate on the release of his other film Boxer that is releasing this week. Once he is done with that he will return to complete Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi. The film is about moto-cross racing which though quite popular in some parts of Karnataka has never been featured in any Kannada film.

The stunts for the film will be shot in a real moto-cross racing track in Kolar. The race track belongs to CS Santosh, a Kannadiga moto-cross racer who is famous for being the first Indian to successfully complete the world-famous Dakar Rally. 

Sadhu Kokila's son Suraag will finally make his debut as a music composer with the film Mareyuva Munna. The film is directed by Preetham Gubbi and produced by Hombale Films. The film will star Prithvi who is making his debut in Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi.

Suraag is 21 years old and was to make his deubt when he was a teenager. In 2013, director Nagashekar had roped him for the film Gadiyara. But the project did not take off. Three years later, Suraag is making his debut finally. Suraag has learnt music from his father and also studied classical music since he was a child.

He started music lessons with the piano. He is also part of a band. Mareyuva Munna is a complete romantic film and Suraag will be one of the youngest music composers in Sandalwood ever.
