Actor Dhananjay who is looking forward for the release of 'Allama' and 'Badmash' is all set to play negative character opposite Shivarajakumar in his new film 'Tagaru'. Dhananjay himself has confirmed that he will be the main villain opposite Shivarajakumar in the film.

'Tagaru - Maiyyalla Pogaru' is being written and directed by Soori. Mahendra Simha has been roped in as the cinematographer of the film, while Charan Raj of 'Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu' is composing the music for the film.

K P Srikanth turns independent producer in this film which is all set to be launched on the 21st of August.

With big movies lining up release this summer, respective filmmakers have been busy releasing the teasers and now it's the turn of Karunada Chakravarthy and Sandalwood's one and only Hat-trick hero Dr. Shivarajkumar. With this the hit Jodi of Shivanna and director P Vasu are returning after their phenomenal success of Shivalinga. 

Whereas, on the other side, it also marks the return of another hit combination of producer Dwarakish and P Vasu of Aapthamitra and Aaptharakshaka series. The makers of the film have released the brand new poster of the film featuring hat trick hero Shivarajakumar on the occasion of his 57th birthday.

After the success of Amma I Love You and a Kannada short film 'Muddhu Muddhagi', the Dwarkish banner has completed the shooting of 'Aayushmanbhava'. Gurukiran who has been another lucky composer for the banner continues with this one too. 

The first look of Shivarajakumar-Sudeep starrer 'The Villain' will be released on the 1st of April. Prem has announced that the first look will be released on that day, but has not revealed about how and where the first look will be released.

Recently the teaser shooting for 'The Villain' was held separately. In the first session only Shivarajakumar participated in the teaser shoot and in the second session Sudeep participated. Prem did not reveal the looks of both the stars and intended to release the first look of the stars only after the shoot of both.

The post-production of 'Tarakasura' is in full progress and the first song of the film is all set to be released on the 03rd of September.

One of the highlights of the song is, actor Shivarajakumar has sung it. The song which is called as 'Kannada Kaliyo' is an introduction song of the hero.

'Tarakasura' is written and directed by Chandrashekhar Bandiappa who had earlier directed 'Rathavara'. Dharma Vish is the music director, while Kumar Gowda is the cinematographer of this film. Narasimhulu is launching his son Vaibhav as a hero. Manvitha Harish is the heroine. British actor Danny Sapani and Sadhu Kokila plays a prominent role in the film.

Four teasers of The Villain will be released on Monday. These are theatrical teasers and will have glimpses from the film. Till now only photo stills and a few shooting visuals have been released in public domain.

The two teasers introducing the characters of Shivarajkumar and Sudeep were also released but these were special purpose. Fans had expected a full length teaser with visuals from the actual film to be released before the film's upcoming release for the Dasara festival.

Prem has however revealed that there will be only 10-second teasers and not a full length teaser on October 1. So the wait continues for fans.

Shivarajakumar's new film 'Ayushmanbhava' is all set to release in November. One of the highlights of the film is, it is music director Gurukiran's 100th film as composer.

Gurukiran himself disclosed during the press meet of the film. Gurukiran started his journey as a music composer with Upendra's 'A', 20 years back. In these 20 years Gurukiran has composed music for 100 films and 'Ayushmanbhava' is his 100th film as a composer.

'Ayushmanbhava' stars Shivarajakumar, Rachita Ram and others in prominent roles. The film is being produced by Dwarkish under Dwarkish Chitra. This is his 52nd film as a producer. P K H Das is the camerman.

If everything had gone as planned then Radhika Kumaraswamy should have started 'Bangarada vamsha' being directed by Saiprakash by now. But there is no news of that film. Now the question on everybody's lips are whether the film has been shelved?

Earlier, Saiprakash had announced that he would be directing a film for Radhika's home banner. The film which was titled as 'Bangarada Vamsha' had Shivarajkumar and Radhika playing brother-sister after 'Anna Thangi'. Even Shivarajkumar and Radhika were excited about the project. But there is no news of that film. Recently, Radhika had said that she will be producing a film to be directed by Nandakishore and there was no news of 'Bangarada vamsha'.

Even director Saiprakash says that he has no news about why 'Bangarada vamsha' is being delayed or whether it has been shelved. Saiprakash says only after the film is started he can plan about his future and until that, he cannot say anything. But actress cum producer Radhika has been mum about this project.

Does that mean that 'Bangarada Vamsha' is shelved?

Actor Shivarajakumar who had not acted in other language films till now, has for the first time acted in a Telugu film called 'Gauthamiputra Shatakarni'. The film is Nandamuri Balakrishna's 100th film as an actor and Shivarajakumar is seen in a special role in this film.

Recently, Shivarajakumar has finished his portions in the film and the team has released the first look poster of Shivarajakumar. Though the details about Shivarajakumar's role is not yet divulged, his look has been revealed.

'Gauthamiputra Shatakarni' stars Balakrishna, Hemamalini, Shriya Sharan, Kabir Bedi and others in prominent roles. The film is being written and directed by Krish. The film will be released next year.

Actor Shivarajakumar has said that he is not a so-called leader, but is ready to take up the responsibility of leading the Kannada film industry.

On Friday, many film personalities met Shivarajakumar at his residence and requested the actor to lead the Kannada film industry. The Kannada film industry is facing a lot of problems post Corona pandemic and the industry personalities is of a opinion that Shivarajakumar is the right person to lead the industry in this time of crisis.

After that Shivarajakumar talked to the media and expressed his opinions about the leadership. 'I don't have any intentions of becoming a leader. But many industry persons have expressed their feeling that I should take a lead. If something good happens to the film industry, then I would definitely take the lead. I am not a so-called leader, but I take the responsibility' said Shivarajakumar.

Karunada Chakravarthy Dr. Shivarajkumar said that there is a huge need for a world class film city in the State for the greater good of the Kannada film industry.

"There are no particular leaders in the Sandalwood while everyone is a leader, as it is the sole duty of everyone of us to see to it that the proposed film industry to realised at the earliest," said Shivanna.

He also said that we need the guidance of V Ravichandran, Anant Nag and several others and their effective participation for an effective plan for the proposed film city in the State.

"I am ever ready to do my part and even ready to take the lead for the purpose if there is a consensus on moving forward with me in the lead. We shouldn't hurry in this matter as we need to build a world class film city which will make everyone turn their attention towards us," he adds.

On the Coronavirus outbreak, Shivanna said that there is no need to panic while it is very important to create awareness on the deadly virus and be fully prepared with safety precautions. "We Kannadigas are stronger as we eat ragi balls but it is still recommended to wear masks to avoid coming in contact with any deadly viruses for our safety," he signs off.

Actor Shivarajakumar said he has fulfilled his wife's wishes by letting her contest for the elections. Shivarajakumar was talking during the 'Belli Hejje' programme organised by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy at Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bangalore.

When a fan of Shivarajakumar asked whether it was necessary for Geetha Shivarajkumar to contest and lose in the elections, Shivarajkumar said though he doesn't like politics, he has fulfilled his wife's wishes. 'My father didn't want politics. I also doesn't like politics. But as an husband I have fulfilled my wife's wishes and that is enough for me' said Shivarajakumar.

When one among the audience told that Shivarajakumar must get a Padmashri award for his contribution to the Kannada film industry, 'I don't want any awards. The claps of the audience is a big reward for me' said Shivarajakumar.

When asked about his opinion about the implementation of the Kalasa-Banduri project, 'It's not enough if the film industry join hands in the protest. Everybody must come and fight for the issue irrespective of caste and creed. Mainly the politicians must join hands for the fight irrespective of their parties' said Shivarajakumar.

Dayal had earlier announced that he will be announcing the release date of his new film 'Ranganayaki' on Ayudha Pooja day. Likewise, Dayal has announced the release date of the film today and the film is all set to be released on the 01st of November.

.Earlier, producer Yogi Dwarkish had announced that he is releasing 'Ayushmanbhava' on the 01st of November acrosss Karnataka. With Dayal also fixing the same date, it's 'Ayushmanbhava' versus 'Ranganayaki' on the Rajyotsava day.

'Ranganayaki' stars Aditi Prabhudeva, M G Srinivas, Sundar Raj, Suchendra Prasad, Shivaram, Chandrachud, Yethiraj and others in prominent roles. Naveen Krishna has written the dialogues. Manikanth Kadri has composed the music. S V Narayan has produced the film.

Shivarajakumar and Upendra are all set to clash at the box-office in this June. The release date of Shivarajakumar's new film 'Rustom' and Upendra's 'I Love You' has been announced and both the films are set to release on the 14th of June.

The post production of 'Rustom' is almost complete and the makers have decided to release the film across Karnataka on the 14th of June. The film marks the debut of Ravi Verma as a director. 'Rustom' stars Shivarajakumar, Shraddha Srinath, Mayuri, Vivek Oberoi and others in prominent roles.

'I Love You' was censored recently with an 'U/A' certificate. Now director-producer R Chandru has decided to release the film on the 14th of June. Dr Kiran Thotambyle is the music director of the film.

'I Love You's is being written and directed by R Chandru. Apart from direction, Chandru is also producing the film. Sugnan is the cameraman. The film stars Upendra, Rachita Ram, Sonu Gowda, Bramhanandam, Sayyaji Shinde, Ravi Kaale and others in prominent roles.

Actor Shivarajakumar has said it's not time to talk about politics and there was no discussion of politics when Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had arrived at Puneeth's residence.

Rahul Gandhi along with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, KPCC president G Parameshwar and others had arrived at Puneeth's residence in Sadashivanagar and offered condolences to Parvathamma Rajakumar.

There were speculations that politics was discussed during Rahul's visit. But Shivarajakumar denied that. 'It's been nearly two weeks since my mother passed away. Rahul Gandhi had come only to offer condolences and there was no discussion of politics' said Shivarajakumar.

Not many people know that in the certificate issued by the Central Board of Film Certification (popularly known as Censor Board) the category of film is also mentioned. Since Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna no big commercial film in Kannada got the tag of 'historical' from the Censor Board.

But Shivanna's Santeyalli Ninta Kabeera has been given the certificate which says 'historical'. For a Shivarajkumar film this comes after Kumararama ten years ago. The film is based on the Bhakti saint Kabir, known in Karnataka as Kabeera. As reported by Chitraloka the film has got a U certificate and is 2 hours 20 minutes long.
The Karnataka government gives a subsidy of Rs 25 Lakh to historical films.

The release of Santeyalli Ninta Kabeera, starring Shivarajkumar has been delayed by a week. The film makers confirmed that the film will now be released on July 29 rather than the earlier announced July 22. The film is based on the life of Sufi saint Kabeer and takes its script from the Hindi play Bazaar Mein Kada Kabir.

This will be the second time Shivarajkumar will essay a role that his legendary father Rajkumar also played. Early in his career he acted in Shiva Mechchida Kannappa like his father who had acted in his first film as hero Bedara Kannappa. Rajkumar also acted in a film called Santa Kabeera decades ago. Now Shivarajkumar is essaying the same role. The film is directed by Narendra Babu
