Arjun Sarja and Radhika Kumaraswamy starrer 'Contract' which is in the making for the last six years is finally complete and the film is all set to hit the screens in the month off April.

'Contract' was launched almost six years back in Kanteerava Studios in Bangalore. However, there was no news about the film after the launch. The shooting was resumed a couple of years back and the film is complete now. With the post-production in progress, the team is planning to release the film in the month of April.

The film is written and directed by Sameer. The film stars Arjun Sarja, Radhika, J D Chakravarthy, Faisal Khan and others in prominent roles. Anil Lal is the cameraman, while Subhash Anand is the music director.

The shooting for Radhika Kumaraswamy starrer 'Damayanthi' is already complete and the post production of the film is in full swing. Meanwhile, the team is planning to release the teaser of the film on the 18th of September.

'Damayanthi' is an horror-thriller with Radhika having three different shades for her role. Actor-distributor Navarasan has not only scripted and directed the film, but also has produced the film. The film will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi languages simultaneously. The film is likely to be released in the month of October.

'Damayanthi' stars Radhika Kumaraswamy, Sadhu Kokila, Naveen Krishna, Mitra, Tabala Nani, Honnavalli Krishna, Veena Sundar and others in prominent roles. P K H Doss is the cameraman, while Ganesh Narayan is the music director. The film has been shot in Bangalore, Hyderabad and other places for 67 days.

Radhika Kumaraswamy starrer 'Damayanthi' was supposed to release in four different languages simultaneously on the 27th of November. But now due to censor problems, the film will be releasing only in Kannada and the other language versions will be releasing next month.

Director-producer Navarasan had earlier announced that 'Damayanthi' will be releasing in four languages simultaneously. The the Kannada version is censored, the other languages films are yet to be censored. With a delay in the film getting censored, the release date of other versions has been pushed for a future date.

Meanwhile, Navarasan is all set to release the Kannada version of 'Damayanthi' in a grand scale. The film is said to be releasing in more than 300 theaters across Karnataka and this is the first time in the career of Radhika that a film is being released in such a large scale

Nagashekhar's new directorial venture  'This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.' being produced by Sandesh Nagaraj was launched in Bangalore. The launch was held at Arjun Janya Studio in Hebbal.

Many of the films produced by Sandesh Nagaraj were launched in a big style. However, this time, only a few guests were present during the occasion. Nagashekhar had requested the guests to bless the team from wherever they are in the invitation card itself. The first shot of the film was picturised on a portrait of Dr Rajakumar. 

Like his previous film, Nagashekhar is all set to direct a love story this time also. Krishna of 'Love Mocktail' is the hero and Radhika Kumaraswamy has been approached for the role of heroine in the film. The regular technical team of Nagashekhar including cameraman Satya Hegade, editor Deepu S Kumar, art director Arun Sagar and others will continue in this film also. 

The shooting for the film will start, once the Government gives permission to start fresh projects

Chiranjeevi Sarja and Radhika Kumaraswamy starrer 'Rudrathandava' which is being considered as the most anticipated film of the season is all set to hit the screens on the 27th of February. 'Rudrathandava' has been in the news for many reasons for quite sometime. Firstly, the film is the remake of the critically acclaimed Tamil film 'Pandiyanadu' starring Vishal in lead role. Secondly because of the star cast of the film. Director Guru Deshpande managed to rope in Chiranjeevi Sarja, Radhika Kumaraswamy, Girish Karnad, Kumar Govind, 'Madarangi' Krishna, Ravishankar and others for prominent roles in the film.

Apart from that there are many highlights including Ramya Nambeesan's song, Puneeth Rajkumar's song, villain's trailer and many others. The film is jointly produced by Nagesh and Vinod and while Harikrishna has composed the music for the film, Jagadish Wali is in charge of the cinematography

The entertaining ghost returns to sandalwood in less than two weeks, and this time it is the pretty Radhika Kumaraswamy who enthralls the audience in yet another horror comedy for the season.

Navarasan directorial has a big list of cast and runs high on entertaining factors revolving around a haunted house. The fun starts on a serious note with Vicky, who works in television, facing financial problems after his father left him with huge loans to clear. To make it worse, his mother is diagnosed with a serious health issue.

The twist in the tale comes with his mother revealing about a bungalow bought by his father, which he couldn't sell since he had found out later that it is a haunted one.

The perfect mix of horror and comedy makes Damayanti a good watch. The first half is more about the failed attempts by the gang to disprove the existence of a ghost but it turns horrific when they accidentally awaken the devil which exists to avenge the killer.

The director has made sure that the script has something for all kinds of audiences, from the likings of drama, comedy, sentiment, action and much more with horror-comedy running the show. 

Will the bunch of men able to pacify the ghost, and whether it will succeed in its purpose of afterlife existence is worth the time in exploring this roller coaster ride which offers pure entertainment with a beautiful ghost in action.

Actress Radhika Kumaraswamy is celebrating her birthday today and the trailer and audio of her forthcoming film 'Damayanthi' is all set to be released by 'Challenging Star' Darshan tomorrow at 6 PM.

Earlier, the teaser of the film was released on the 18th of September and now the trailer, as well as the songs of the film is set to be launched by Darshan. Radhika and Darshan had acted as a pair in 'Mandya' and 'Anantharu'. After a 10 year gap, the two will be sharing the stage together for the first time.

If everything had gone as planned then Radhika Kumaraswamy should have started 'Bangarada vamsha' being directed by Saiprakash by now. But there is no news of that film. Now the question on everybody's lips are whether the film has been shelved?

Earlier, Saiprakash had announced that he would be directing a film for Radhika's home banner. The film which was titled as 'Bangarada Vamsha' had Shivarajkumar and Radhika playing brother-sister after 'Anna Thangi'. Even Shivarajkumar and Radhika were excited about the project. But there is no news of that film. Recently, Radhika had said that she will be producing a film to be directed by Nandakishore and there was no news of 'Bangarada vamsha'.

Even director Saiprakash says that he has no news about why 'Bangarada vamsha' is being delayed or whether it has been shelved. Saiprakash says only after the film is started he can plan about his future and until that, he cannot say anything. But actress cum producer Radhika has been mum about this project.

Does that mean that 'Bangarada Vamsha' is shelved?

Radhika Kumaraswamy has big plans for her new film I Hate Dance. The film will be launched on her birthday in November but it is already a work in progress. Raghuram DP who is directing her in Namagagi will be directing this film as well.

Sources said that Radhika Kumaraswamy is keen on bringing Madhuri Dixit to Sandalwood with this film. Since it is a dance-based film the evergreen Bollywood actress is being approached to play a small role. Radhika hopes to share screen space with Madhuri in a dance sequence, sources said.

Being the producer of the film as well, Radhika Kumarswamy is leaving no stone unturned to make it a huge film. There are plans to bring dancing stars from other industries as well but the focus is on bringing Madhuri Dixit at any cost. 

After the success of Ranna director Nanda Kishore has a hattrick of hits. Not surprisingly therefore there are many offers for his next film. He is now planning for the next movie. This week he will be finalising the options and decide for whom he will be directing his next movie.

Already he has committed to direct films for Dhruva Sarja, Radhika Kumaraswamy and Pradeepa.

Speaking to Chitraloka he said bounded scripts are ready with him. "This time I am giving the complete budget list to the producer. Later on they should not blame me. Let me wait and we will know whose project will start first," he said.

Radhika Kumaraswamy is back with a special film. She will start shooting for a film titled Damayanti from September 11. The film will be directed by Navarasan of Rakshashi fame. It is a fantasy film with some horror elements. Navarasan that the film will be like the Telugu film Arundathi and will be a very high budget film because it requires lots of graphics.

Radhika has agreed to the film and an official announcement will be made shortly Navarasan said. Radhika Kumaraswamy has been making films on and off and has been very selective in the kind of and the number of movies she has appeared in the last few years. This film is however set to be a special one as it is heroine centric and still made with a mass appeal in mind.

While, Krishna of 'Love Mocktail' has been selected as the hero, the search for the heroine is on and Nagashekhar says Radhika has been approached for the role of heroine in the film, for which the actress is yet to give her consent to act in the film.

Radhika Kumaraswamy has launched a new film titled Bhaira Devi. It is a multi starter starring Ramesh Aravind, Radhika, Skanda, Anu Prabhakar and others. The film is being made in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. Director Shri Jai who made RX Suri earlier is directing this film.

The muharat was held at Bande Mahakali Temple in Bengaluru. The film is being produced under Shamika Productions. Radhika's daughter Shamika held the clapboard for the first shot.

Director Guru Deshpande of 'Rudrathandava' is leaving no stone unturned to promote his latest film 'Rudrathandava' starring Chiranjeevi and Radhika Kumaraswamy in lead roles. Guru who had used many platforms and ideas to promote his film, tried another one on Friday.

On Friday afternoon, Guru made actress Radhika Kumaraswamy to issue tickets in a bid to not only promote the film, but also woo the audience. Guru had earlier publicised that Radhika will be issuing the tickets of 'Rudrathandava' at the Nartaki Theater in Bangalore.

Likewise, Radhika came to Nartaki and issued tickets for the matinee show. Many Not only the people who had not seen the film, but also few who had watched the film earlier came to watch the film once again because of Radhika. The show was quite houseful.

Radhika will be visiting theaters in Northern part of Karnataka in the next two days. Radhika will be starting this promotional tour from Tumkur on Saturday and will be moving to Hiriyur, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Harihara, Hubli, Dharwad, Gadag, Ranibennur and other places on Saturday and Sunday.

Actress Radhika has come out in open and has rubbished the rumours about her re-marriage with agriculturist Vishal.

There was a news on Tuesday that Radhika will be wedding Vishal after a couple of photos of the duo were released in the social media. However, Radhika said that is a false news and the photos are also one and a half years old.

'I really don't know who all spreads these rumours. Vishal is the friend of my brother and the photos were taken last year when we went to visit his farm in Kemmanagundi. Vishal is just a friend and I don't have any plans to re-marry in the future' said Radhika.

Actress Radhika Kumaraswamy is all set to issue tickets for 'Rudrathandava' today afternoon at the Nartaki Theater in Bangalore. It is a part of promotional campaign and Radhika will be accompanied by the team.

This is not the first time that a heroine is issuing tickets to the viewers. Earlier, actress Veena Mallik had issued free tickets to woo the female audience at the Kapali theater. In spite of her doing her bit for the promotional campaign the film bombed very badly at the box-office.

Actress Ramya Nambeesan who recently made her debut as an actress in Kannada cinema through Ganesh starrer 'Style King' has now made her debut as a singer through Chiranjeevi-Radhika Kumaraswamy starrer 'Rudrathandava'. Ramya has sung a sung under the music composition of V Harikrishna.

Ramya Nambeesan had also sung a song for 'Pandiyanadu' which is the original version of 'Rudrathandava'. Now she has sung a song called 'Try Try' which has become a hit.

Singing is not new for Ramya and the actress cum singer has sung a few songs for films like 'Bachelor Party', 'Arikil Oraal' and others.

Rudratandava as the name denotes is an action film. But it is not an all-out fight and stunt extravaganza. There is also a light romance track, a good comedy companion and above all a family relationship driven drama. There are villains plenty and many characters that build the narrative in an engrossing storyline. Chiranjeevi Sarja has a good film to boast about and finally all things required for an action film that is attractive to the family audience as well is put in place.

Chiru and Radhika Kumaraswamy are paired for the first time and their chemistry works in the small but neatly packaged romance part of the film. The family drama is between Girish Karnad playing the father and Kumar Govind and Chiru playing his sons. There is a also story of friendship between Chiru, Chikkanna and Madarangi Krishna. There are the villains galore with Ravishankar playing the super villain. All these with the comedy bit thrown in makes for a wholesome package. It is a commercial film nonetheless but with a bit of nice family drama for sentiment.

It is a revenge drama with both the father and brother of a honest government officer trying to avenge his death. There are good action scenes to complement the narration and melodious songs to temper the hardcore action. It is one of the best films in Chiru's career and will do a world of good to him.

Has Vijay Raghavendra and Radhika Kumaraswamy's latest film 'Namagaagi' been shelved? That's what the rumour in Kannada film industry these days. 'Namagaagi' was launched one and a half years back and the film was in news because the hit pair of Vijay Raghavendra and Radhika Kumaraswamy acted after a long gap. After a few days of shooting, there was no news of the film. Recently there was a rumour that the shooting of the film has been started once again. However, director Raghuram rubbished the news saying that it is a mere rumour.

'I am the director of the film and I only don't know anything about the film. As of now there are no efforts to revive the film and I even don't know where Radhika Kumaraswamy is' said D P Raghuram.

With director himself saying that there are no efforts to revive the film as of now, there is a rumour that the film has been shelved and the film might not get revived again. What happens next is yet to be seen?
