Dwarkish's 49th production 'Aatagaara' is all set to be released on the auspicious day of Varamahalakshmi festival (August 28th). Producer Yogi Dwarkish is busy finalising the theaters for the film and is likely to release the film in Santhosh and other theaters across Karnataka.

Dwarkish has a special sentiment with the Varamahalakshmi festival. His 'Apthamitra' was released on the Varamahalakshmi festival in 2004 and the film went on to become a huge blockbuster at the box-office. Now after 10 years, the team is planning to recreate the magic by releasing the film on the Varamahalakshmi festival.

'Aaatagaara' is being directed by Chaitanya of 'Aa Dinagalu' fame. Chiranjeevi Sarja along with Parul Yadav, Meghana, Ananthnag, Anu Prabhakar, Sadhu Kokila, Prakash Belawadi, Balaji Manohar and others play prominent roles in the film along with Dwarkish and Ravishankar. Anoop Seelin is the music director while Satya Hegade is the cameraman.

Ever since Dwarakish Chitra released Aaptamitra on Varamahlakshmi festival a decade ago, the production house wanted to release all its future films on the same festival. Two more films; Vishnuvardhana and Charulatha were made by the banner after that.

Both were planned to be released on Varamahalakshmi festival. But fate had something else in store. Despite all the plans the film's could not be released on that festival dates.

When Aatagara was started there were none such release date sentiments. Producer Yogish had actually planned releasing the film in April this year. But once again fate intervened. Due to various circumstances the film release was delayed.

However everyone in the film is happy now. By strange circumstances the film was released on Varamahalakshmi festival last week. The film is turning out to be a big hit.

  • Varamahalakshmi Sentiment For Aatagara - Exclusive

    aatagara image

Dwarakish Chitra is banking on the Varamahalakshmi festival sentiment for its new film Aatagara. The KM Chaitanya-directed film is ready for release and would have been released a week or two ago. But the film makers held it back so that it could be released on August 28.

The reason for this being that Dwarakish Chitra's comeback film in 2004 was Apthamitra that released on Varamahalakshmi festival that year. Producer Yogish wants to therefore release Aatagara on the same festival. It is only a sentimental issue and the success of the film will ultimately depend on the how people accept it. I am more than confident about the content and its appeal," he says.

Aatagara has 10 actors with equal screen space and disregards the idea of a lead pair though Chiranjeevi Sarja and Meghana Raj are in a sense the traditional 'lead actors'.
