ಮಂಡ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷೇತರ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಸುಮಲತಾ ಗೆದ್ದರು. ನಿಖಿಲ್ ಸೋತರು. ಆದರೆ, ಈ ಗೆಲುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಲತಾ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಹೊಸ ಹೊಸ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸುಮಲತಾ ಈಗ ಇಡೀ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷೇತರ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಗೆದ್ದು, ಲೋಕಸಭೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮೊದಲ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಎಂಬ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ಇಂಡಿಯಾದಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರಪ್ರಥಮ.

ಇನ್ನು ಲೋಕಸಭೆಗೆ ಪಕ್ಷೇತರರಾಗಿ ಗೆದ್ದು ಬಂದವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ 1950ರ ದಶಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಪಕ್ಷೇತರರು ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದರು. ಅದಾದ ಬಳಿಕ, ಲೋಕಸಭೆಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಿಂದ ಪಕ್ಷೇತರರು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಇದೇ ಮೊದಲು. 

1957ರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜಯಪುರದಿಂದ ಸುಗಂಧಿ ಮುರುಗಪ್ಪ ಸಿದ್ದಪ್ಪ ಎಂಬುವರು ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದರು. ಅದಾದ ನಂತರ 1967ರಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಕರ ದೇಸಾಯಿ  ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದರು. ಅದೇ ಕೊನೆ, 52 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಮಂಡ್ಯದಿಂದ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇನ್ನು ಸುಮಲತಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ ಘಟಾನುಘಟಿಗಳ ವಿವರ ಬೇಡ. ಅಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ, ಯಾವುದೇ ಶಾಸಕ, ಸಚಿವ, ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಪಕ್ಷ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರ ಬೆಂಬಲವಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಎದುರಿಸಿದ ಮೊದಲ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದು ಹೊಸ ದಾಖಲೆಯೇ ಸರಿ.

History has been created in the State, with a first ever independent candidate winning Lok Sabha election. Mrs. Sumalatha Ambareesh, who fought a alone battle against the entire ruling coalition government, has recorded an emphatic victory with a margin of more than 50 thousand.

While the entire self-respecting (swabhimani) voters of Mandya Lok Sabha constituency and several organisations backed Sumalatha Ambareesh, it was the 'jodettu', a term coined by Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, referring to Challenging Star Darshan and Rocking Star Yash, who relentlessly campaigned for their mother, have been the biggest force behind the record victory.

Apart from Mr. Kumaraswamy, the two stars had to face series of personal attack against them for campaigning in favour of Mrs. Sumalatha Ambareesh. However, jodettu, who stuck to the ground were hundred per cent confident of Mrs. Sumalatha Ambareesh win.

It may be also noted that 'Nikhil Yellidiyappa', a phrase which became popular across the globe was another trending factor during the Lok Sabha elections.

Meanwhile, according to sources, Jodettu along with Mrs Sumalatha Ambareesh will address the self-respecting Mandyians and to those who everyone supported their cause. It is also expected that Mrs. Sumalatha Ambareesh will hold a victory rally in Mandya thanking the voters.

Actress Ramya who was not seen in public for the last one year on Tuesday Ramya met the kin of farmers who ended their lives in the last few days due to various reasons. Ramya who is the ex Member of Parliament from Mandya visited Honnanayakanahalli and Pankanahalli in Mandya taluk and Ganadahosuru in Pandavapura Taluk and met the kin of farmers who ended their lives. Ramya handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 each to the kin of the dead farmers.

Later talking to media persons, Ramya said she was abroad for higher studies and is now back in Bangalore.

Former actress and Congress social media cell in charge Ramya has said she is not contesting the upcoming Assembly election in Karnataka. After the confusion over Ambareesh contesting from Mandya constituency there was speculation that Ramya would be brought in his place.

But Ramya has brushed aside all speculation by making it clear that she will not be contesting. The suspense over who will contest from Mandya therefore continues. From the last two decades Ambareesh has made Mandya his political base. In recent years Ramya has emerged as another important politician from the district after winning a Lok Sabha bypoll from there which she subsequently lost.

There is hectic political activity in Mandya involving two Sandalwood stars. Veteran actor and politician Ambareesh is said to be reluctant to contest from Mandya Assembly constituency.

Chief minister Siddaramaiah and others are said to be trying to convince him to contest. In the meantime there are strong rumours that Ramya may contest from Mandya constituency in the absence of Ambareesh. Either way it will one of the stars from Sandalwood who will contest from Mandya. Ambareesh has recently completed acting in Ambi Ninge Vyasaayto.

He was a minister for housing in the outgoing Assembly for two years before the post was taken away from him. There has been doubts about his contesting from Mandya for the past few months. The suspense has continued even after his name has been announced as a party candidate. 

Actress Sumalatha has said that she will not join the Bharatiya Janatha Party even after winning the elections and will remain as an independent candidate.

Sumalatha Ambarish is contesting against Nikhil Kumaraswamy for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from the Mandya constituency. Sumalatha is contesting as an independent candidate and is backed by Bharatiya Janatha Party. 

Speaking during a rally, 'If I wanted to join BJP or any other party, I would have joined earlier itself. I had got a lot of offers from other parties. But I declined all the offers and contested as an independent candidate' said Sumalatha.

ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಅವರ ಪಾರ್ಥಿವ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಮಂಡ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ 17 ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಇಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಅವರ ಪಾರ್ಥಿವ ಶರೀರದ ದರ್ಶನ ಪಡೆದವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ 3 ಲಕ್ಷ. ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಲೆಕ್ಕದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ 2 ಲಕ್ಷ 80 ಸಾವಿರ. ಭಾನುವಾರ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಂದ ಸೋಮವಾರ 10 ಗಂಟೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಜನ ಬರುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದ್ದರು. ಸಮಯ ಮೀರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮೃತದೇಹವನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಕರೆತರಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ್, ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣವನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಸುತ್ತು ಸುತ್ತಿ ಬಂದು, ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕೈಮುಗಿದರು. ಪಾರ್ಥಿವ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್‍ಗೆ ಇಡುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಸುಮಲತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿಷೇಕ್, ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಅಂಬಿಯ ಕೆನ್ನೆಗಿಟ್ಟು, ಹಣೆಗೆ ತಿಲಕವಿಟ್ಟರು. ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು.

ಮಂಡ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್‍ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಹೃದಯಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿ ವಿದಾಯ.

ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್‍ವುಡ್ ಕ್ವೀನ್ ರಮ್ಯಾ, ಸಂಸದೆಯಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಮನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಮಾಜಿಯಾದ ನಂತರವೂ ಮಂಡ್ಯದಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಬಾಡಿಗೆ ಮನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ರಮ್ಯಾ, ಮಂಡ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದದ್ದು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಪರೂಪ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರುವ ರಮ್ಯಾ, ಈಗ ದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸ್ತವ್ಯ ಹೂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಅಂತ್ಯಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಾಗಲೀ, ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಲೀ ಬಾರದ ರಮ್ಯಾಗೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಜನ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಂಜಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾಲು ನೋವು ಎಂದು ರಮ್ಯಾ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕಾರಣವನ್ನೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. 

ಈಗ ರಮ್ಯಾ, ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಖಾಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದೂ ರಾತ್ರೋರಾತ್ರಿ. ಮನೆ ಖಾಲಿ ಮಾಡುವಾಗಲೂ ರಮ್ಯಾ ಮಂಡ್ಯಕ್ಕೇನೂ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಜೆನ್ಸಿಯೊಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಅವರೇ ರಮ್ಯಾ ಅವರ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮನೆಯ ಮಾಲೀಕ ಸಾದತ್ ಅಲಿ ಖಾನ್, ಮನೆ ತಮಗೆ ಬೇಕು. ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡಿ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಮನೆ ಖಾಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ರಮ್ಯಾ. 

ವೋಟು ಹಾಕೋಕೂ ಬರದೆ, ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಅಂತಿಮ ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೂ ಬರದೆ, ಮನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೂ ಒಂದು ದಿನವೂ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯದೆ ವಿವಾದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ರಮ್ಯಾ, ಈಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿಯೇ ಗುಡ್ ಬೈ ಹೇಳಿದಂತಾಗಿದೆ.

ರೆಬಲ್‍ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್, ಅಕ್ಷರಶಃ ರೆಬಲ್ ಆಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೇಳದೆಯೇ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬಿಫಾರಂನ್ನು ಮನೆಗೇ ಕಳಿಸಿಕೊಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅವಮಾನಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಚಿವ ಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಮರೆಯದ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್, ಈಗ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಆಟವಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 

ಹಾಗೆ ನೋಡಿದರೆ, ಮಂಡ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಮುರಿಯಲೆಂದೇ ಚೆಲುವರಾಯ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯನ್ನು ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿರುವ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ, ಆ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಲ್ತಾರಾ ಅನ್ನೋದು ಬೇರೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ. ಇದರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯದಿಂದ ರಮ್ಯಾ ನಿಲ್ತಾರಂತೆ ಅನ್ನೋ ಸುದ್ದಿಗೆ ವೇಗ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. 

ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಅವರು ಸತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಮ್ಯಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಂಡ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕಣಕ್ಕಿಳಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಹರಿದಾಡಿತ್ತು. ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದೇ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೋ ಎಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ರಮ್ಯಾ.

ಮಂಡ್ಯದಿಂದ ನಾನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ರಮ್ಯಾ ಅವರ ಒನ್‍ಲೈನ್ ಉತ್ತರ. ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ರಂಗೇರಿರುವಾಗ ಕೂಡಾ ರಮ್ಯಾ ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ.

ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಜನ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಲ್ಲ ಹೇಳಿ. ಗಾಂಧಿನಗರದವರಿಗಂತೂ ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಮನೆ ಇದ್ದಂಗೆ. ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಇದೆ. ಈಗ.. ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಪಟ್ಟೆ ಲವ್ವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅಯೋಗ್ಯ ಸಿನಿಮಾ.

ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಭಾಷೆ, ಆ ಶೈಲಿ ನಂಗೆ ಹೊಸದು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾಡೋದು ಅನ್ನೋ ಟೆನ್ಷನ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೆ. ನಟ ಸತೀಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಮಹೇಶ್, ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಟ್ರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಏನ್ ಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನೋದು ಪಕ್ಕಾ ಗೊತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಈಸಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಯ್ತು. ಅಲ್ದೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಹುಡುಗೀರು ಹೇಗೆ ವರ್ತಿಸ್ತಾರೆ.. ಜಡೆ ಹೇಗ್ ಹಾಕ್ಕೊಳ್ತಾರೆ.. ಹುಡುಗರು ಚುಡಾಯಿಸಿದ್ರೆ ಯಾವ ರೀತಿ ರಿಯಾಕ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡ್ತಾರೆ ಅನ್ನೋದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಹುಡುಗಿಯರಿಂದಲೇ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡೆ. ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ವೇಳೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಹುಡುಗಿಯೊಬ್ಬಳು ಗೆಳತಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಳು. ಈಗ.. ನಂಗೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಲವ್ವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದೆ ಅಂದೋರು ರಚಿತಾ ರಾಮ್. ಅವರು ಅಯೋಗ್ಯ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಾಯಕಿ.

ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಂದಿನಿ ಅನ್ನೋ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಪಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ರಚಿತಾ, ಅಪ್ಪನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವ ಮಗಳಾಗಿ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಹುಡುಗಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾವಂತೆ. ಲಂಗ ದಾವಣಿ, ಸೆಲ್ವಾರ್ ಕಮೀಜ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಟ್ರೆಡಿಷನಲ್ ಲುಕ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಷ್ಟಪಡ್ತಾರೆ ಅನ್ನೋ ಕಾನ್ಫಿಡೆನ್ಸ್ ರಚಿತಾಗಿದೆ. ಚಮಕ್ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಇದೇ ವಾರ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗ್ತಿದೆ.

ಸುಮಲತಾ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ದೃಢ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಸುಮಲತಾ ಮಂಡ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸೋದು ಪಕ್ಕಾ. ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‍ನಿಂದ ಅಥವಾ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕದೇ ಹೋದರೆ ಪಕ್ಷೇತರರಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸುವ ಸೂಚನೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಸುಮಲತಾ, ಮಂಡ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. 

ಪತಿಯ ಹುಟ್ಟೂರು ಚಿಕ್ಕರಸಿನಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಾಲಭೈರವೇಶ್ವರನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಸುಮಲತಾ, ನಂತರ ಹುತಾತ್ಮ ಯೋಧ ಗುರು ಮನೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಗುರು ಪತ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಟ್ಟರು. ತಾವು ನೀಡಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿರುವ ಅರ್ಧ ಎಕರೆ ಜಮೀನಿನ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ರು. 

ಅದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು, ಅಂಬಿ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸುಮಲತಾ, ನಾನು ಮಂಡ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು, ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಂಡ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ನನಗೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಜನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂದರು.
