  • 'Kanoorayana' To Release On April 27th

    T S Nagabharana's new film 'Kanoorayana' which showcases the co-operative movement and women empowerment is all set to hit the screens on the 27th of April.

    'Kanoorayana' is a film being produced by Dharmasthala's co-operative movement and 20 lakh people from this movement have produced the movie by investing Rs 20 each.

    'Kanoorayana' stars Skanda Avinash, Sonu, Giriraj, Doddanna, Girija Lokesh, Neenasam Ashwath, Sundar Raj, Karisubbu and others in prominent roles. Vasuki Vaibhav is the music director, while Srinivas Ramaiah is the cameraman.

  • Allama Songs Released

    The songs of Dhananjay-Meghana Raj starrer 'Allama' was released by producer Hari L Khoday recently at the KSCA Hall in Bangalore. The audio release was a well attended event and many celebrities Chinnegowda, Professor Doddarange Gowda, Sangeetha Katti, Malathi Sharma, Sudheendra Sharma, Sanchari Vijay, Hari Khoday, Dhananjay, Meghana Raj, Pramila Joshai, Pratibha Nandakumar, T S Nagabharana, Pannaga Bharana was present at the occasion.


    'Allama' is written and directed by senior director T S Nagabharana, while renowned flautist Bapu Padmanabh has composed the music for the film.

  • Allama Songs to be Released on 31st March

    The shooting for Dhananjay and Meghana Raj starrer 'Allama - Bayalemba Beragu' has been completed and the songs of the film are all set to be released on the 31st of March. Bapu Padmanabh has scored the music for the songs of 'Allama'.


    'Allama' has been written and directed by T S Nagabharana. Srihari L Khoday who has produced films like 'Santha Shishunala Sharieffa', 'Mysore Mallige' and 'Nagamandala' is producing the film. G S Bhaskar is the cinematographer.

  • Allama To Release On January 26th

    T S Nagabharana's 'Allama' which is based on the great philosopher of the 12th century is all set to release on the 26th of January across Karnataka.

    Dhananjay is seen in the role of Allama in this film, while Meghana Raj plays the role of courtesan Maya. Sanchari Vijay is Basavanna. The script of the film has been written by Siddagangaiah Kambal, N S Sridharamurthy, Pratibha Nandakumar, Prof Chandrashekhar Ushala and Sripathy Manjanabail. The dialogues of the film are written by Pratibha Nandakumar, Siddagangaiah Kambal and Veerappa Maralavadi.

    Hari Khoday who produced some classic films like 'Santha Shishunala Sharifa', 'Mysoru Mallige' and 'Nagamandala' is the producer. Dhananjay, Meghana Raj, Ramakrishna, Sanchari Vijay, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and others have played prominent roles in the film. G S Bhaskar is the cameraman, while Bapu Venkatesh is the music director.

  • Belli Hejje in Districts

    Starting this month itself the monthly Belli Hejje programme organised by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy will be held in the native district of the guest. Every month a senior film personality participates in the programme and recollect their cinema journey. On July 29, the Belli Hejje programme with TS Nagabharana as the guest will be held in Mysuru.

    Incidentally it was Nagabharana as the first chairman of the Academy who started the Belli Hejje programme. Next month Belli Hejje will be held in Shivamogga with Girish Kasaravalli as the guest.

  • Belli Hejje Postponed Due to Mourning

    The 'Belli Hejje' programme which was supposed to be held today at Mysore has been postponed due to mourning in memory of late president Dr A P J Abdul Kalam. The highlight of this 'Belli Hejje' was veteran director-actor T S Nagabharana. It was he who started the programme of 'Belli Hejje' when he was the president of the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.Now T S Nagabharana was supposed to come as the 51st guest of the famous programme.

    However, the programme has been postponed due to national mourning and the further date is yet to be announced in the coming days.

  • Chandanavana To Be Released on November 28th

    Just a month after the revised edition of the Kannada Chalanachitra Itihasa was released, one more history book called 'Chandanavana' regarding Kannada films is all set to be released on the 28th of November.

    'Chandanavana' is a book being written by a panel of journalists headed by senior journalist Shyamasundara Kulkari. The book is the brainchild of the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and the book contains the 10 years history of Kannada cinema.

    The work for the book started during the tenure of T S Nagabharana.

  • Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar Takes Over As KCA Chief

    Well known director Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar has taken over the new president of the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy on Thursday evening in Bangalore.

    Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar took over the charge from ex-president S V Rajendra Singh Babu at the Academy office in Nandini Layout in Bangalore.

    Directors T S Nagabharana, N R Nanjundegowda, actor Dattana and others were present at the occasion.


  • T S Nagabharana Releases Urvi Songs

    On Saturday evening senior director T S Nagabharana released the songs of Pradeep Verma's debut film 'Urvi' starring Shruthi Hariharan, Shwetha Pandith and Shraddha Srinath in prominent roles.

    Many of the celebrities attended the event including well known painter and Pradeep Verma's father B K S Verma, Hamsalekha, Lucky Ali, Ricky Kej and others. Manoj George has composed the songs for the film and this is his first film as a music director.

    Shruthi Hariharan, Shwetha Pandith, Shraddha Srinath, Bhavani Prakash and others who forms the star cast was also seen at the audio release event held in Bangalore.
