In a significant development, backed by good show at the box office, Kannada films are running in maximum number of screens in Karnataka. Out of the around 650 screens in the state, Kannada films are now running in around 500 screens.

These are figures for single screens. In multiplexes non Kannada films combined have more presence than Kannada films. Two star films released on the same day last Friday leading to large number of single screens showing Kannada films. The continued success of earlier releases has also helped. 

As on Sunday

Uppi2 is in 170 single screens

Buguri in 144, 

Maley (2nd week) in 122, 

RangiTaranga (7th week) 24 and 

Bullet Basya (4th week) in 20 screens.

So these 5 films occupy a total of 480 theatres out of around 650 theatres in Karnataka.

Like his previous films the release of Komal's latest film 'Lodde' is also in trouble. The film was supposed to release in Tribhuvan and other theaters from 31st of July. But the team is facing a lot of problems for the release of the film.

One main problem is the lack of theaters. The team has been planning to release the film in Tribhuvan and other theaters on 31st of July. The team had also released many advertisements for the last couple of weeks. However, 'Rangitaranga' was shifted from Kapali to Tribhuvan last week due to various reasons and the film has been running successfully from then on.

Now the team of 'Lodde' is in a dilemma about how to replace a film which is running successfully. However, it is not the problem of team as it had announced that the film would be releasing in Tribhuvan on 31st almost two weeks back. Though the theater was allotted to 'Lodde', it was given to 'Rangitaranga' just for a week. As the film is running successfully, everybody is in a dilemma whether to replace it or not?

Will 'Rangitaranga' be replaced by 'Lodde' is yet to be seen in the next couple of days.

The team of Rangitaranga has launched a talent hunt to draw talent for their next venture. Director Anup Bhandari and actor Nirup Bhandari are teaming up again for the new film. They have invited people with creative talent and interest in direction, VXF, art, costume, editing and poster designing to apply.

Those with the most creative entries will be interviewed and become part of the new film. Entries for other technical jobs are also solicited. The team will also shortly start auditioning for actors for the new film.

Last year’s super hit film Rangitaranga which won accolades across the globe is all set to re-release on the 1st of July. Meanwhile, the film has completed 50 weeks and is still running Inox Mantri Square and Cinepolis Multiplex in Bannerghatta road.

This is a world-wide re-release and the film will be released simultaneously in India America, UK, Singapore, Australia and other places. This new International cut film will be trimmed of 10 minutes of the original length and some new scenes will be added.

'‘Rangitaranga’ is written and directed by Anup Bhandari, while his brother Nirup Bhandari played the hero in the film. Radhika Chetan and Avantika Shetty played the heroines in the film, while Saikumar played a prominent role in the film.  Anup Bhandari himself had composed the songs for the film.

Rocking Star Yash who is currently busy with the shooting for the second chapter of KGF, is all praises for his better half Radhika Pandit. The star actor who launched the audio of Adi Lakshmi Purana, has expressed that Radhika is a very talented actress and is hopeful of the success of the movie.

"It was me who first heard the story of the Adi Lakshmi Purana. I was impressed by it and eventually shared it with Rockline Venkatesh after I heard it again with Radhika, and thus movie took off. Radhika is a talented actress and it is up to her on what kind of movies she wants to take it up in future. Neither me or any of my family members shall ever come in her way when it comes to her passion for acting," Yash said at the event.

The actor also commended the works of Bhandari brothers since their works from Rangitaranga and wished both Anup and Nirup Bhandari, the best for their future projects.

ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೀರಾ ಶರ್ಮಾ ಎಂಬ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ರಾಧಿಕಾ ಆರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಯುರೇಟರ್ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಬೆಟ್ಟದಷ್ಟು ಕನಸಿರುವ ಹುಡುಗಿ, ಸಂಗಾತಿಯ ಹುಡುಕಾಟದಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಅದೇ ಅವಳ ಮುಂದಿನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ. ಆಗ ನಡೆಯುವ ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಘಟನೆಗಳೇ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕಥೆ.

ರಂಗಿತರಂಗ. 2015ರಲ್ಲಿ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗಿ ಸೆನ್ಸೇಷನ್ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಆ ಚಿತ್ರದ ರೀಮೇಕ್ ರೈಟ್ಸ್ಗೆ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಡಿಮ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಬಾಲಿವುಡ್ನ ಖ್ಯಾತ ನಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕಿ ಕೋಮಲ್ ಉನ್ನಾವೆ ರಂಗಿತರಂಗ ರೀಮೇಕ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದರು. ರೀಮೇಕ್ ಹಕ್ಕು ಖರೀದಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಕೂಡಾ ಶುರು ಎಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆಕೆಯೇನೂ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರಲ್ಲ. ಒನ್ ವೇ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೈಸಿಕಲ್ ಬಾಯ್ಸ್ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕಿ. ವಿಚಿತ್ರವೆಂದರೆ ಇದು ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಗೇ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.

ರಂಗಿತರಂಗದ ಹಿಂದಿ ರಿಮೇಕ್ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಷನ್ ಹೌಸ್ ಒಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ರಿಮೇಕ್ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳೂ ರಂಗಿತರಂಗ ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ಸಹ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಾದ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಸಾಜ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯೇ ಇದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಅನುಮತಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ರಂಗಿತರಂಗ ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಲೀ ಖರೀದಿ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಅಥವಾ ರೀಮೇಕ್ ಮಾಡುವುದಾಗಲೀ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅದು ಕಾನೂನು ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆ ಎಂದು ಅನೂಪ್ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹೆಚ್.ಕೆ. ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ರಂಗಿತರಂಗ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅನೂಪ್ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ನಿರೂಪ್ ಭಂಡಾರಿ, ಸಾಯಿ ಕುಮಾರ್, ರಾಧಿಕಾ ನಾರಾಯಣ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಆವಂತಿಕಾ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದ ಚಿತ್ರ, ಬಾಹುಬಲಿ ಎದುರು ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗಿ ಸೂಪರ್ ಹಿಟ್ ಆಗಿತ್ತು.
