Former Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari is all set to act in a new film called 'Matte Banda Veerappan' which was launched on Monday morning at the Kanteerava Studios in Bangalore. The film is being directed by B A Purushottam and produced by Annappa, who is also playing a major role in the film.

Shankar Bidari who was present at the muhurath of the film confirmed that he is acting in the film.

'I have been getting offers to act in films for a while, but I have restrained from acting in films. However, I could not say to Annappa and Purushottam when they offered me this film. I have a small role and I will be on screen for just one a half minutes' says Shankar Bidari.

ಆಗ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪಾಟೀಲ್, ಖುಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಗ ಡಿಸಿಪಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಶಂಕರ್ ಬಿದರಿಯನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೀಮಿಯರ್ ಶೋಗೆ ಕರೆದಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದರಿ, ಪಾಟೀಲರಿಗೆ ಬೈದಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಮಾಡಿದ್ರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಾಡು, ಸುಮ್ನೆ ಯಾಕ್ ಇಂಥ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೆಸರು ಕೆಡಿಸ್ಕೊಳ್ತೀಯ ಎಂದಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಕಾರಣ ಇಷ್ಟೆ.. ಇಡೀ ಸಿನಿಮಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋದು ಒಂದೇ ಒಂದು ಸೀನ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ.

ಆದರೆ ಅದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನೇ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
