Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar, who is fondly referred to as 'Appu’, has revealed that during the early 80s when he was around five years old, he had accompanied his legendary father Dr. Rajkumar to AVM studio where the greatest legendary actor from Telugu film industry N.T. Rama Rao was shooting for a movie as a race car driver.
He further recollects saying that when he saw the race car, he had asked his father, to get him one such race car.
“I guess I was around 5 or 6 years old when the incident occurred. After the shoot at the studio, I came back to home with my father, and to my surprise NTR sir who came to know about my desire, had actually sent the race car to our house. However, we couldn't keep it and sent it back,” Puneeth Rajkumar shared during the press meet regarding the release of NTR Kathanayakudu, the first of the two part biopic movie on one of the greatest legend in Indian cinema and even as a politician.
He also recollected the cordial and special relationship of NTR sir, and his family.
Whereas, Nandamuri Balakrishna who has produced the biopic along with portraying his legendary father in the movie, which releases on January 9, wishes to see the sons of Kannada Kanteerava Dr. Rajkumar to portray the role of Kannada thespian in his biopic on the silver screen.
The second part of the biopic NTR-Mahanayakadu is scheduled for release on February 9. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan plays the role of NTR's wife in both the parts.
