'Musssanje' Mahesh's new film 'MMCH' is all set to release this Friday (July 13th) across Karnataka in more than 100 theaters.

One of the highlight of the film is, daughters of well known supporting actresses have acted in this film. Meghana Raj daughter of Pramila Joshai, Samyukta Belawadi daughter of Sudha Belawadi, Prathama daughter of Vinaya Prasad and Nakshatra daughter of Sumitra have acted in this film. Ragini plays a special role in the film.

'Mussanje' Mahesh himself has written the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film. Janakiram and Aravind are the producers. Nagesh Acharya is the cameraman, while V Sridhar Sambhram is the music director.

Dwarkish's 49th production 'Aatagaara' is all set to be released on the auspicious day of Varamahalakshmi festival (August 28th). Producer Yogi Dwarkish is busy finalising the theaters for the film and is likely to release the film in Santhosh and other theaters across Karnataka.

Dwarkish has a special sentiment with the Varamahalakshmi festival. His 'Apthamitra' was released on the Varamahalakshmi festival in 2004 and the film went on to become a huge blockbuster at the box-office. Now after 10 years, the team is planning to recreate the magic by releasing the film on the Varamahalakshmi festival.

'Aaatagaara' is being directed by Chaitanya of 'Aa Dinagalu' fame. Chiranjeevi Sarja along with Parul Yadav, Meghana, Ananthnag, Anu Prabhakar, Sadhu Kokila, Prakash Belawadi, Balaji Manohar and others play prominent roles in the film along with Dwarkish and Ravishankar. Anoop Seelin is the music director while Satya Hegade is the cameraman.

Aatagara movie has been censored with U/A Certificate with a run time on 128 minutes.  Movie is produced by Dwarkish Chitra directed by KM Chaitanaya.  Movie is planned to release on August 28th.

Aatagara has 10 actors with equal screen space and disregards the idea of a lead pair though Chiranjeevi Sarja and Meghana Raj, Parul Yadav are in a sense the traditional 'lead actors'. 

The film Aatagara has managed to what very films have in the last two years. Private entertainment channels in Kannada have purchased telecast rights of only films of top stars or those films that have become hits. But the rights of Aatagara has been purchased even before the film's release.

The deal was done two days ago and Aatagara is one of the few films that channels are betting will be a hit. The rights have also been purchased for a good price sources said.

The film directed by KM Chaitanya is also one of the costliest in actor Chiranjeevi Sarja's career. It is reportedly made at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore. The film also stars Parul Yadav, Meghana Raj, Dwarakish, Ravishankar and Prakash Belawadi.

The 49th film under Dwarakish Chitra banner Aatagara is waiting to complete a song. The post production work is meanwhile under full swing. The film team is buoyed by the huge positive response the first teaser of the film has generated.

Released a week ago the trailer has showed promise of a different kind of film. The huge response even prompted the veteran producer Dwarakish to do a rare tweet thanking film fans. Aatagara is a multistarrer with 10 main characters. The teaser shows the film to be a thriller set in an island. The film is directed by KM Chaitanya and the cast includes Chiranjeevi Sarja, Meghana Raj, Parul Yadav and Dwarakish.

Chiranjeevi Sarja's new film Aatagara directed by KM Chaitanya has grossed Rs 2 crore at the box office in its opening weekend. The collection reports for the weekdays since then are not yet completely compiled but as of now it looks like the first week producer's share will be over Rs 2 crore. This is the biggest opening for Chiru.

The film's collections in urban centres and Bengaluru is above expectations but below expectations in B and C centres. The film is doing very well in multiplexes. In the last weekend of August, Aatagara is the highest grossing film in Karnataka.

T S Nagabharana's 'Allama' has got two major awards at the 64th National Film awards. While Bapu Padmanabh has been adjudged as the best music director, Make-up Ramakrishna has got the best make-up award. Apart from this a Kannada film called 'Reservation' has got the best regional film award.

The songs of Dhananjay-Meghana Raj starrer 'Allama' was released by producer Hari L Khoday recently at the KSCA Hall in Bangalore. The audio release was a well attended event and many celebrities Chinnegowda, Professor Doddarange Gowda, Sangeetha Katti, Malathi Sharma, Sudheendra Sharma, Sanchari Vijay, Hari Khoday, Dhananjay, Meghana Raj, Pramila Joshai, Pratibha Nandakumar, T S Nagabharana, Pannaga Bharana was present at the occasion.

'Allama' is written and directed by senior director T S Nagabharana, while renowned flautist Bapu Padmanabh has composed the music for the film.

The shooting for Dhananjay and Meghana Raj starrer 'Allama - Bayalemba Beragu' has been completed and the songs of the film are all set to be released on the 31st of March. Bapu Padmanabh has scored the music for the songs of 'Allama'.

'Allama' has been written and directed by T S Nagabharana. Srihari L Khoday who has produced films like 'Santha Shishunala Sharieffa', 'Mysore Mallige' and 'Nagamandala' is producing the film. G S Bhaskar is the cinematographer.

T S Nagabharana's 'Allama' which is based on the great philosopher of the 12th century is all set to release on the 26th of January across Karnataka.

Remember actor Arya who made his debut as a hero in 'Ee Sanje' directed by Sri. Now the actor is back with a new film called Onti. This time Arya is producing the film apart from acting as a hero in the film.

'Onti' is a film written and directed by Sri again. Sri refuses to divulge any details about the film saying that the suspense must be out in theaters itself.

Meghana Raj is playing Arya's heroine in the film. Vajramuni's grandson Arasu Vajramnuni is seen in a negative role in the film.

'The shooting for Prajwal Devaraj and Meghana Raj starrer 'Bhujanga' has been completed and the songs of the film are all set to release on 17th of January. The songs of the film are composed by music director Poornachandra Tejaswi.

This time the team has organised the audio release of the film in Sir M V Stadium in Mandya and the audio will be released amidst much fanfare at the stadium on Sunday night. The guest list is yet to be announced and Ambarish and Ramya are likely to release the songs.

'Bhujanga' has been directed by Jeeva and the film is scripted by B A Madhu. Prajwal, Meghana, Santhosh, Bullet Prakash, Aishwarya Sindhogi and others play prominent roles in the film.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has shown keen interest to watch Anup Revanna's debut film Lakshmana and producer H M Revanna is likely to show the film to the Chief Minister in the next couple of days. Member of Legislative Council H M Revanna is very close to the Chief Minister and the Chief Minister was the chief guest at the launch of Anup's both films. So, the team is gearing up to show the film to the Chief Minister and get his blessingS.

Meanwhile, the film is running to packed houses and is considered as a winner. The film is a remake of a Telugu hit and R Chandru has written the screenplay along with directing the film. Anup, Ravichandran, Meghana Raj, Pradeep Singh Rawath and others play important roles in the film. Arjun Jnaya has composed the music, while Santhosh Rai Pathaje is the cinematographer.

Actor Chiranjeevi Sarja who got engaged with actress Meghana Raj recently is all set to marry the actress on the 2nd of May.

The marriage of Chiru and Meghana has been organised at the White Petals convention Hall at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore. The reception is arranged on the same evening.

Already Meghana has distributed the invitation cards to her friends and well wishers in the Malayalam film industry and Chiranjeevi Sarja is expected to invite his friends and well wishers from the film fraternity soon.

Actor Chiranjeevi Sarja has confirmed of getting engaged with actress Meghana Raj on the 22nd of this month.

Earlier, there were rumours that Chiranjeevi Sarja and Meghana Raj are dating each other and the duo will be getting engaged on the 22nd of this month. However, both the actors chose not to react to this issue. Now Chiranjeevi Sarja has confirmed that he will be getting engaged to Meghana Raj on his birthday today.

Chiru did not divulge any details about the date of the marriage and has said that he will announce the date of the marriage in the coming days.

Actor Chiranjeevi Sarja on Wednesday married actress Meghana Raj at the White Petals Convention Hall in Palace Grounds in Bangalore.

Earlier, there were rumours that Chiranjeevi Sarja and Meghana Raj are dating each other. However, Chiru and Meghana ended the rumours by getting engaged in the month of October. Now they have entered into a wedlock.

The marriage was attended by Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, T S Nagabharana, Girija Lokesh, Ramakrishna, Shivaram, Ramesh Bhatt, Sudha Belavadi, Samyukta Belawadi, Nandakishore and others. Chiru's uncle Arjun Sarja and brother Dhruva Sarja were also present.

Dhruva Sarja bought a silver cradle for his late brother Chiranjeevi Sarja and Meghana Raj's baby that is due to be born soon. Dhruva along with his family was seen in a posh Silver Mart in Bangalore recently, where he was seen excited to purchase a beautiful cradle for the baby's arrival.

Recently, Dhruva had arranged for Meghana Raj's baby shower in Bangalore which was attended by family members as well as friends of Chiru and Meghana.

Director Indrajith Lankesh on Saturday evening has apologised to actress Meghana for derogatory remarks on her late husband Chiranjeevi Sarja.

Recently, Indrajith Lankesh had asked why post-mortem was not done on Chiranjeevi Sarja and what were the exact reasons of his death. There were rumours that Indrajith is linking Chiranjeevi's death to the ongoing drugs case, for which the late actor's wife Meghana was very much upset.

Meghana had also written a letter in this regard to the Karntaka Film Chamber of Commerce that Indrajith Lankesh's statements have been much more hurtful to the berieved family. The KFCC asked Indrajith to apologise and Indrajith immediately rushed to the KFCC on Saturday evening and apologised to Meghana and Chiru's family about his statements on the late actor.

'I apologise to Meghana Raja if I have hurt them with my words. I did noot mean to say Chiranjeevi had drug links. I had only stated that post mortem should have been conducted because he had died in a very young age. I take back my words immediately' said Indrajith.

Jindaa has a rustic kind of subject that Mussanje Mahesh has chosen for this film. It is a raw subject with a mixture of crime and revenge aspects. It is a nice blend of old and new including the story, narrative and also actors. Seniror actors like Devaraj, Sundar Raj, Vijaya Kashi and Padma Vasanthi are matched against Meghana Raj, Yuvaraj, Arun, Lokesh and others. It is a heady mixture. For the Kannada audience it is a new kind of treat. Jindaa is a good effort at a new kind of film.

The film starts with a gang of six friends. The initials of their names forms the gang name as JINDAA. The young gang gets involved in small robberies and all of them except one is bad in studies. They are inseparable. Their lowly life gets a chance for the better when one of them passes the exam and gets a chance to go to college. Again the money comes from robbery.

From here on come the twists. The smart guy falls in love. It is opposed by his friends who are against love and marriage . But love becomes too much of an attraction and the one friend says he will leave the gang and friendship for the sake of love. He quits the gang and then ensures a fight. 

Enter Devaraj a cop who wants to put an end to the gang. Many aspects of the story open up from here. It is a suspense, revenge and lots of action from here. This is the best portion of the film. The fight within the gang, the cat and mouse game with the cop Devaraj and tension fills the story. Mahesh has handled the story nicely and gives ample scope to all actors. 

From the story point of view as well as the acting part Devaraj is the hero of the film. There is no doubt that he is one of the best actors in Sandalwood. He proves once again why he is so. He is a perfect inheritor of the title Nata Bhayankara. Meghana Raj gives a very good performance and steals the show towards the end.

From a slow start the film picks up pace and goes towards a thrilling climax. The technical team is also handled very well and makes for a good film. One of the better films this year that you should not miss.
