Hebbuli is having the biggest release for a Kannada film in the Gulf countries. It will release in eight Gulf countries including Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Baharain, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai. The film's release dates and theatre list has been announced by Overseas Kannada Movies. The film is being released in 20 theatres from March 30 to April 5. The film will release in seven theatres in Dubai on March 30. In Sharjah it will release in three theatres the same day.
In Abu Dhabi it is releasing in four screens on March 30. In Abu Dhabi it is releasing in Al Ain, Rak and Fujairah also. The film will release in two places in Oman, one in Qatar and one in Kuwait. The film is releasing in Baharain on April 7. The film has also been acquired for release in UK, European Union, Australi, USA, Canada and Singapore. The dates for release in these countries will be announced shortly. Hebbuli is being released with English subtitles in all these places. Bookings for the film in the Gulf has already begun.

Golden star Ganesh starrer Mungaru Male 2 has taken a very good response in Australia. Movie got simultaneous release in Australia and USA.
Mungaru Male 2 is directed by Shashank and produced by Gangadhar. Ganesh, Neha Shetty, V Ravichandran, Aindrita Ray are in the lead role.
In Melbourne five shows was held and all shows was houseful. Same result was at Sydney.
Speaking to chitraloka Roopesh from Australia said First time we have good booking before release. Due to some technical issues we have to cancel a show. But people have enjoyed the movie. Its visuals are great and also music.

To screen Kannada movie in New Zealand, you need to re-censor the movie. We need to rent the theatre and screen the movie to the concerned authorities and get the censor certificate.
MIDDLE EAST
To screen a movie in Middle Eastern countries, you need to censor the movie with UAE. Before that, you need to do the classification with the classification board. The movie also should have subtitles. Considering the cost of re-censoring, not much Kannada movies are released in Middle East. Most of viewers feel annoying watching with subtitles and with cuts.

Traditional marketing techniques cannot be used in overseas movie screening. The budget required for traditional marketing is very high and is not viable for Kannada market. How do we promote the movies in overseas? Everyone wants an answer to the above question in the KFI.
- We rely on online websites for movie promotion. Chitraloka has been a tremendous help in this area. This was the only portal since 2000 that has reached overseas audiences successfully.
- We use Social Media (FB, Twitter) to post about the movie screening dates by creating our own pages. This has a very good reach in that particular geographical location.
- We use also WhatsApp group locally to connect with local audiences about the movie release and other updates.
- We also put the posters in the theatres that will screen movies Kannada movies regularly (2 weeks in advance).
- We also screen trailers for future movies during the screening of Kannada movies.
- We also put the flyers and posters in the Indian Grocery stores.
- We also put flyers in Indian Community centers, Temples.
- We also take the help of local Kannada community (Kannada Koota) for promoting the movie by sending the newsletter to all the members.
- The movie theatre also updates the Kannada movies in their website as well (Coming soon section).
- Distributors will also send email blast to entire Kannada community database maintained internally.

For screening the movie in Australia, we need get the classification done by Australian Government classification board. You need to mention the dates of screening and locations where the movie is being screened.
They will issue a certificate indicating the dates of screening and as well as rating.
