One question that always arises in the minds of the filmmakers is “How do we expand the kannada movies market?” Obviously with the emergence of multiplexes all over India, It’s now possible to release Kannada movies all over India as multiplexes don’t charge flat rent and work on the revenue basis. Can we release all our movies throughout India (like we do in Karnataka)? The answer is NO.
Thinking on those lines, overseas market has always generated lot of curiosity and interest over the past 15-20 years. Do we really have a market? Is there a potential? Is it tapped correctly or not? So many questions are unanswered in the minds of every filmmaker.
