On 26th June 2011, Kannada film industry's most dedicated web portal Chitraloka.com enters a  phase of  consolidation. Over the last eleven years, Chitraloka has grown into an unknown portal to become one of the widely broused website in the country and Karnataka. In Karnataka, besides the search engines and a few education and civic issues related for example Google, Rediff,  Karnataka nic, VTU (Vishweshwaraiah Technological University)- websites,  Chitraloka.com stands one in top five of the  information and analysis websites. While world over the dedicated websites have the same community of browsers,  Chitraloka.com is one website whose browsers cut across the dedicated film community of  the Kannada film industry and its fans.  Even internationally, Chitraloka.com stands at around 1 lac in its position when the web connectivity has increased to around more than ten crores.

This phenomenal growth notwithstanding, Chitraloka is making serious efforts to improve upon its  news delivery systems as much as enhancing its content  in the form of  video uploads and other visual contents.   Breaking stories has been  the Megal Portal's forte since its inception, but as for as its record in the last few years are concerned the performance has been quite astonishing.  We plan to do interviews of  some big stars and give enough space for the new talents from this year.  But the focus remains to protect the interests of  the Kannada film industry and  highlighting the achievements.   Our criticism has been fair and objective.  We have always tried to correct some wrong perceptions and actions of a few erring individuals and  we are sure we have been greatly successful in this regard.
