The Karnataka Film State Awards for the year 2012 is all set to be announced on the 25th of August by Information Minister Roshan Baig and the jury will be present during the occasion.

Earlier, a committee was set up by the Information Department under the leadership of senior producer K C N Chandru. While K C N Chandru was selected as the chairman of the committee, Pramila Joshai, Muralidhar Halappa, Satyamurthy Anandoor, Sa Ra Govindu, Yakub Khadar Gulwadi, Appagere Thimmaraju, Gopi Peenya and Information Director are members of this committee.

A total of 49 films will be fighting for various category awards. Dr Rajkumar, Dr Vishnuvardhan and Puttanna Kanagal awards will also be announced during the occasion.
