The 13th edition of the Raghavendra Chitravani awards were given away on Saturday evening at the Chamundeshwari Preview Theater in Bangalore. Well known actor-director-producer Prakash Rai, KFCC president H D Gangaraju, veteran journalist Vijayamma gave away the awards in various categories. While the Raghavendra Chitravani award for producer was given to veteran producer C Jayaram, Raghavendra Chitravani award for journalist was given to veteran journalist Subramanya who is currently based in Mysore. Director 'Milana' Prakash received the award on behalf of his father C Jayaram.

Apart from Subramanya and Prakash, Girija Lokesh, Sangeetha Katti, music composer Poornachanda Tejaswi, 'Jatta' Giriraj, 'Lucia' Pavan, 'Dyavre' Viji, Honnavalli Krishna and 'Gombegala Love' received awards in various categories. Dinesh Baboo could not make it to the function as his father was not well.

Prakash Rai said he is very happy to give the awards and he remembered his association with many of the dignitaries who were present and Rai particularly remembered his association with the Chamundeshwari Studio.
