The state film award for 2010-11 is in trouble again. Producer and director Renukumar of Shabdamani film had filed petition in high court. After hearing today, the court said prima facie there was for the petitioner.
His film had won award by the first committee but ignored by the second committee which was formed after a high court direction. But Renukumar contended that he was not informed about taking back his award. The court was about to pass order but the government advocate sought time till tomorrow as the awards function is scheduled in Dharwad on Sunday. The order will be passed on Friday but the judge has given indication that Renukumar has a valid case.
