Girish Kasaravalli's 'Koormavatara' might have failed to win awards at the State and National level, but the film has surely been making news at the International Festivals. After being screened at many International Film Festivals, now 'Koormavatara' has not only been screened at the Imagine India International Film Festival but also won two prominent awards.
The annual awards which is held in Madrid, Spain concluded recently and 'Koormavatara' won two awards at the acclaimed international film festival. While, Girish Kasaravalli was adjudged the best director, Shikaripura Krishnamurthy has been given the best actor award for his sensitive performance. Earlier, actor Biraadaar had got te best actor for his performance in 'Kanasembo Kudureyaneri' at the same festival three years back.
'Koormavatara' is the only major film which has won awards at the well known International Film Festival.
