Vijay who is now shooting for S. Narayan directed `Chanda' is still unable to get into a feeling of elation after winning the award. "Frankly the fact that this film has got me the Best actor Award is still to sink in. When Komal sir told me during the shooting that I had won the award I was not in a mood to believe it immediately. But then I got congratulatory messages from Bangalore and also phone calls. Narayan sir also congratulated me for this award' he said while crediting director Soori for his splendid performance in the film.
`I am still in a state of shock after hearing the news of award. "My legs are still shivering. I dont know whether one film can change the destiny of a person very fast. Before the release of Duniya, my only ambition was to see that my producers are safe and my director Soori’s confidence in me was justified. God and Kannada film fans have given more than that. I think that this award has enhanced my responsibility' Vijay added.
Best Actress Tara who has received Best actress award for her performance in the film "Cyanide' said that she had thought that it would be one of the most challenging role of her career. This is the fourth state government award for her acting skills. "Cyanide offered me a role which I had not done before. When director Ramesh told me about the role, it certainly looked exciting. But when I started working for the film I realised that the role needed lot of concentration and focus. Ramesh and Cameraman Rathnavelu were supportive. And even Rangayana Raghu was brilliant in the role of my husband. I am glad he is also receiving the award' said Tara.
Actor Ganesh who is now in Theerthahalli shooting for another film `Galipata" directed by "Mungaru Male' director Yogaraj Bhat said that the Best film award for the film has enthused every member of the team. "Bhat sir is shooting in a place where there is no communication access. But Dayal sir told us the news in the afternoon and all of us were happy. I came here in the evening to call many people who had worked for the team' said Ganesh.
Director Soori said that he was happy that the process initiated by his guru and guide Yogaraj Bhat is yielding results now. 'The award for "Duniya' has only strengthened his belief that Kannada audience would welcome all fresh subjects. We have abundant talent and it is my desire to see all youngsters would follow a fresh path' he added.
Journalist Jogi says that many of his friends have said that `Kaada Beladingalu' is one of his best stories. `I had also felt the same many a times, it is good that I got this state award for a story which remains my most favourite among the stories written by me' said Jogi.
There is a feeling that Music director Mano Murthy deserves more awards for the way he has been consistently delivering hits after hits in the Kannada films. Lyricist Jayanth Kaikini who has won the first state award for writing the Best lyrics for the film `Mungaru Male' said that he would dedicate the award to Mano Murthy. Mano Murthy has also got award for his music in the same film.
