The shooting of Kalyan Jewellers Ad in Mumbai was an opportunity for Kannada actor Shivaraj Kumar to meet some legends of the industry like the Big B and Amithabh Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan to endorse their jewellery in North India, while for the South India . the well known jewellery firm from Kerala have signed up Prabhu in Tamil, Nagarjuna in Telugu, Shivrajkumar in Kannada and Dileep for Malayalam.
Shivaraj Kumar celebrated his birthday a day earlier on July 11 along with all the four stars from different regions. He cut the birthday cake and had all the VIP Brand Ambassadors clapping with birthday wishes.
Noted Chennai based photographer G Venket Ram did the still photos for the commercial which was shot in a Mumbai studio. VA Srikumar was the director and Thiru was the cameraman.
Amitabh Bachchan during the shoot was happy to see all the south Indian actors especially Prabhu, as he has fond memories of his dad Sivaji Ganesan. He has said to have bonded big time with other south Indian stars who had come for the shoot.
Shivaraj Kumar even remembered the dates of his meeting with the Big B which he shared with the legendary actor. "I was so overwhelmed looking him so active during the shoot. He does not go to his caravan more often. Only during the break in shooting , he went out to take his lunch in Caravan. He shared many moments when he met Appaji and described him as the greatest actor in the country. I was so moved with the way he spoke to me and he even wondered how I can remember even the dates and year when I met him initially. I told him that I remembered everything including the conversation I had with him. He bonded so well with all of the Southern stars' said Shivaraj Kumar.
Talking about Telugu Super Star Nagarjuna, the Kannada actor who is so down to earth despite achieving big said that he heard the Telugu Star appreciating the Telugu film Eega which is now taking the Telugu film industry to international heights. "He was appreciating both Rajamouli and out own Sudeep. Appreciation coming from such a big actor was something I really cherished' said Shivaraj Kumar.
