Actress Priya Hassan is all set to launch a new film titled as Smuggler on 13th August 2012.   The film is being directed by K.Veeru and will have Kamal Sifani as the co-producer.  However the invitation of the launch does not give any details about the technicians working for the film or the other artists.
Former Chief Minister D.V.Sadananda Gowda will hold the clap while Deputy Chief Minister R.Ashok will start the camera. Surprisingly not a film director but the President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce K.V.Chandrashekhar has been assigned the responsibility of directing the first shot. The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike President Narayana Gowda is lighting the lamp at the muhurath.
Many top directors and top film personalitis have been invited as chief guests including Senior director Bhagavan, M.S.Ramesh, Presdient of the Kannada film directors associaiton,  Ashok, President of the Karnataka film workers association,  Sa.Ra.Govindoo, K.C.N.Chandrashekhar, Umesh Banakar,  Distributors Mahesh Kothari, Basha and others.
