Director Shankar of 18th Cross which features Deepak and Radhika Pandit in the lead has been on the skies now. The film which was released on Friday without any big publicity and all of a sudden has been getting a very good response.
"The positive response has really surprised us. We did not expect it to draw good crowds even in a centre like Bengaluru. But some how th fans have appreciated and media reviews have helped us' says Shankar.
Shashikumar, son of the film's producer Chikkanna who had an untimely death during the making of the film said that the film is receiving good response and his father should have been alive to see this moment. Deepak said that the response to the film has been quite good and best compared to the openings of all the recent films.
Radhika Pandit described Chikkanna as a gentleman and dedicated the entire film to him. "I am sure he would have been happy to see his film succeed. But even then I am sure his soul will be happier' said Radhika Pandit. Then she also added that the critics had appreciated her performance in this film which was her first venture.
