Actress Pooja Gandhi has clarified that she cannot be held responsible for the release or promotional activities of her film Jai Hind produced by Army Major Srinivas Poojar and directed by Venugopal. Pooja Gandhi defended herself in front of the accuser Major Poojar in the press meet organised by him on the eve of the release of the film.
"Whenever Major Poojar spoke to me I took the telephone calls and have answered him. I was busy in the shooting of Dandupalya and I had been abroad for my personal professional commitments twice. I had explained the situation to Major Poojar clearly. But still when Munirathna sir of Kannada film producers association called me and told about the complaining of Major Poojar, I was surprised. Here I want to make it clear that I have been intimating to the producer and director about my commitments from time to time' said Pooja Gandhi.
Later Major Poojar clarified that the entire affair was due to a communication gap and he would regret if it had hurt the feelings of Pooja Gandhi.
Coming the press meet which was attended by film's hero Sandesh and other artists and technicians, Mr. Poojar said that he would be releasing the film on the even of the Independence Day. He clarified that the film is a commercial venture with a message of patriotism. "My film also briefs how to deal with the terrorism' said Major Poojar.
Srinivas Poojar added that a few sequences were shot in Army headquarters to make use in this film. He had taken permission from the Defence establishment. He also said that he had lot of appreciation for the work of Thriller Manju in the film. Thriller Manju will be part of my next project' said Major Poojar. The film's director Venugopal says he is sure of the success of the film. Thriller Manj said it needs lot of courage to make such films.
Sandesh who is the hero of the film is very confident of this film being received well by the audience. Pooja Gandhi remembered Hindi film
